Remy Collins always played it safe. Known as the strait-laced, sweet southern girl, Remy is desperate not to fall into the troubled footsteps of her parents. So, she became the good girl. When she sets off to college to start a new life for herself with her cousin, June, she quickly realizes she’s about to walk into an entirely new dark world
Bryson ‘Blaze’ Brooks only loved two his motorcycle and his family bar. Spending his nights partying at his family's bar with his equally wild and reckless brothers, this tattoo-covered playboy enjoyed a life of booze, loose women, and his motorcycle club. This reckless and charming sex on a stick is exactly what Remy needs to stay away from... or so she thought.
After a chance encounter with Remy, Blaze finds himself intrigued by the mysterious girl who seems unaffected by his appeal. No matter how hard he tries, Remy doesn’t seem to fall to her knees for Blaze like all the other women he’s met.
However, when Remy finds herself running to Blaze for protection, her dark past comes to light and threatens to destroy everything she has built for herself. Blaze happily helps Remy, but it will come at a cost—for them both.
Enjoy this whirlwind of a suspenseful romance novel today.
A longtime escapist into books, M.A. Lee began writing cozy mysteries and romances when other sources of that gold ran out. The gold nuggets of Mary Stewart, Georgette Heyer, Andre Norton, Phyllis A. Whitney, and Elizabeth Peters inspired her to write her own nuggets, even if they're only pyrite.
Look for the Into Death series, set after World War I, and the other books in the Hearts in Hazard series.
Favorite Books of all Time: Mary Stewart's My Brother Michael. Mary Stewart's This Rough Magic. Georgette Heyer's Venetia. Ellis Peters' The Virgin in Ice. Andre Norton's Year of the Unicorn
Authors that I will recommend beyond the influences and the favorites: Dorothy L. Sayers. Tony Hillerman. Tamara Leigh. Patricia Briggs. Lindsay Buroker. Linnea Sinclair. W.R. Gingell. Agatha Christie. C.J. Cherryh.
This is Bryson / Blaze and Remy’s story. Remy has had a tough life, and college is a chance for her to have a fresh start away from her past, and Blaze is a tattooed bad boy, who loves his family and his MC. When these two cross paths Blaze is intrigued by Remy, as she is not falling for his charms, and she makes him work to get her attention. When Remy’s past comes back to haunt her, she turns to Blaze for help and protection. This is a well written story which is dark, action packed, and with twists, suspense, danger, intrigue, family, drama, emotions, twists, and love, which leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. - it is a slow burn at the start - You meet the fmc Remy Collins who is a southern girl but she tries hard not to be in the same troubled footsteps as her parents . - She went to college to be able start a new life for herself with her cousin June. But she 3nds up realising that she will end up walking into an entirely new dark world - you meet mmc Bryson Raven aka Blaze and he only loves two things in his life which is his motorcycle and his family bar . - he's loves to spend his nights of partying at his family's bar with his wild and reckless brothers - Blaze is playboy that is covered in tattoos that loves the life of booze, loose women and his motorcycle club. - Remy ends up meeting Blaze but he is something that she needs to stay away from . - I literally love this sentence "Little Red has no idea that she has woken the beast in the big bad wolf." - Blaze motorcycle club is called The Twisted Kingdom Motorcycle Club - this always cracks me up "my sloppy leftovers" - I love how there is a reference relates to Peter Pan "They are like the lost boys and the heads of their club are like Peter Pan." - this made me laugh, how Blaze says this to Remy "“Red, I’m fucking Prince Charming,” " - the ending was so perfect
I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. This series starts off this a bang. I just feel like readers will be in for a wild ride with this series. Blaze Raven notices Remy right away. Remy is running away from an ex-boyfriend. Her and her cousin, June, moved to Hollow Cove to go to school. Blaze can’t get Remy out of his head. Though she is fighting it, Remy is attracted to Blaze as well.
Blaze decides to make Remy’s safety a priority when her ex-boyfriend shows up in town. Blaze refuses to let anything happen to her. His brothers in the club are more than willing to help him keep her safe. The Twisted Kingdom MC stands behind Blaze and Remy. Can Blaze convince Remy that he is a changed man? He will do everything in his power to keep her with him. I am in love with these men already. I can’t wait to see how the other brothers fall.

Remy is trying to start over when she goes away to college - her ex-boyfriend was stalking her. Blaze meets her at a club, and warns her to stay away. He can't stop thinking about her. He's rough and tough, totally alpha, and a bit of an ass. Yet I'm drawn to him. Remy is smart and sassy, and not afraid to stand up to him. But she's still a bit leery of getting involved with Blaze. This is a really nice short book, centered around the MC. It's a slow-ish burn, with relatable characters. Great little afternoon read! I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is going to take you for quite the ride. Remy wants a future fast different than her past. Blaze is happy to keep things in his life just as they are, until he comes across Remy. These two feel something towards each other but express it in different ways. Neither can forget the other though. When she needs him, Blaze is going to come thru for her. Things aren't going to be easy.

Blaze is the first book in the Twisted Kingdom series. I originally read this book when it was first released but did not end up reading the series, not sure why exactly either. This book introduces the reader to the Twisted Kingdom world which is about four brothers, an MC and a family bar. This story is about Remy Collins and Bryson ‘Blaze’ Raven. I reread this book and got into it as much as I remember the first time. I even grabbed the rest of the series and dove into them all...enjoying the stories and the couples.
Remy was a good girl with a dark past, she gets tricked by her cousin and ends up not just at any bar but a Biker bar for their evening out! Where she crosses paths with Blaze and he just can't get her off his mind she doenst fall at his feet like other girls, but when she needs protection he's the one who takes over and will do anything to keep her safe. Engaging story, fast paced, desires drama and more.
Blaze is captivated by Remy a woman who doesn't fall at his feet like the others, and it starts their path. Remy is trying to stay on the straight and narrow because of her dysfunctional family life something she doesn't want to fall into. When trouble comes calling, she has one person she can run to Blaze. Will he be able to keep her safe and will it lead them to their chance for happiness.

Blaze has an attraction to the mysterious new woman who doesn't seem interested in his usual charms. When Remy needs help from the dangers of her past, she turns to Blaze. This was an entertaining story with lots of suspense and twists that add to the emotional drama. It was an enthralling read.

This part of the series tells how Blaze met and fell in love with Remy...aka Red. The struggles between a preppy college girl and a leather wearing tattooed biker makes it interesting. The bikers of Twisted Kingdom club have a reputation of drinking, women, fights and gambling. Blaze is the first of the guys to fall in love and change his life.
💘💖💘 Blaze and Remy💘💖💘 He's a womanizer, different woman each night. She's been hurt and just wants to keep to herself. Great book for a quick read. M.A. Lee does a good job telling this story!.
