It’s been a month since the events of the Inker and Jack, Lance, and Shay have tried everything they can think of to get back to Fictitious. With Shay’s visions of the prince’s death occurring nightly, the boys know they are short on time.
Jack decided to take matters into his own hands while at a trip to the craft store with his mom, but once he gets the door to Fictitious opened, things appear to be even worse then the boys thought they were.
The prince is in a coma, his ember is dying, and piles of bones litter the ground of the forest. The boys seek answers for the prince’s ailment in the hideout of the former Quills. It turns out that the old Wordsmith isn’t as gone as the boys thought, and Jack comes face to face with the ghost of his predecessor. Can Jack and his friends use the knowledge they find in the Quill hideout to save the prince or will he end up an apparition of a time when Fictitious was thriving world like the former Wordsmith?
Ah yes, Wicket is something else. I love reading about Wicket. Now their is 3 young boys and still need to find 2 more. All I can say is onto Book 3. I really don't want to spoil this short series for those that haven't read it. It's highly recommended though.
