"Trapped Justice" by Ellis Keller

My Assessment:

All that is left to say is that this author, Ellis Keller gave the reader an excellent read. From the start, all the way to the end, one will be so captivated by the reading that not wanting to put it down until the end.

The lawyer Everly, her assistant, Violent, and an ex-boyfriend, Kevin, gave the story one heck of a read. What will happen when a friend, not only hers but her mother, Eleanor, finds out that Mila is dead and her mother's boyfriend is to have commented on the murder? And her mother wants Everly to defend her boyfriend, Ian. How will all of this workout?

There will be so many twists and turns to this story ... you will have to keep up! The characters are all so intriguing all over the place.

We find Everly did get some assistance from a friend. Still, I had trouble understanding why she did not do as he asked...and that was waiting for him...just maybe Everly would not have had to go through all she did if she had listened...but oh well...this is where I will stop and say...pick up "Trapped Justice" and you will see what I am talking about. How will this come up? This is where I tell you must pick up 'Trapped Justice" to see how this author brings it all out to the reader. The ending and the extended epilogue...well, I didn't follow it so well other than it explains Everly's childhood but now with that specific person who hadn't been in her life since she was three...why appear now! So again, pick up this good read to see what you think. Yes, it was an exciting, suspenseful crime and legal thriller! Only it left me saying WOW, what a read!

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is the start of a new series and it looks like a winner. The story begins with Everly on the losing end of a trial. This is not normal for her. The following day she is awakened by he mother who has been crying. It appears that her mother's friend has been arrested for murder and the person murdered was a friend of both Everly and her mother. The suspect is the boyfriend of Everly's mother and she wants Everly to defend him. Because the murdered women was like another parent to Everly she wanted to refuse, but in the end Everly agreed to represent him. When she went to the jail to see him, he didn't want to cooperate.

At the araignment, Everly discovered that the individual that was go to do the prosecution was a woman from a law firm that had a gret reputation and this is the 1st murder case for Everly. When the trial started, Everly was quite impressed wit her opponents opening. Everly's opening was well done and believed to have been even better that the prosecutions. Once testimony began, Everly held her own with her cross examinations. Her last one was done so well that the prosecutor asked for a recess. While Everly and Violet, her assistant were eating, an event happened which changed everything.

To discover what happened that impacted the case and how it all panned out, then you need to read this book. You won't be disappointed.

TRAPPED JUSTICE by Ellis Keler (Keller) is a legal mystery introducing Lawyer Everly Green. There are a few grammar and typo errors, but I still enjoyed the story and the plot twists. This story was both exciting and suspenseful, especially the last half, keeping my interest to the last page

Everly is asked by her mother to defend her boyfriend. Ian is accused of murdering both Everly's and her mother's best friend, Mila. Everly doesn't even like Ian, but her mother loves him. Reluctantly agreeing, Everly is finding it hard to defend someone she thinks is guilty. The more evidence and lies that are uncovered, the more dark secrets from Everly's and her mother's past come into play.  Eventually both their lives are in danger and Ian may be spending the rest of his life behind bars.

I received a copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

I enjoyed this legal thriller. Everly Green is a lawyer with a past who agrees to defend a client she detests, but the person asking is someone Everly would never refuse. This was a suspense filled story where nothing is as it seems. The characters are well written and believable. The plot kept me glued to my seat as secret after secret was revealed. It was left on a cliffhanger that has me anxiously awaiting the next story. I would definitely recommend it. I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Legal Thriller

Everly is a lawyer trying to defend her mother's boyfriend, even with everything pointing to him being guilty.

As the story unfolds with the twists and turns it is a mystery as to who really did the crime.

I enjoyed this book! And I think you will also.
