On the heels of breaking free from a terrible relationship, Kaliana Martin is more than ready for a change. She has been planning to move away and go to college for far longer than she’s admitted to anyone, but now that the day has come, she’s conflicted. Unable to live under her sister’s shadow and unwilling to continue to play the villain in a small-town tragedy, leaving Blues Meadow seems to be her only option if she’s going to finally choose herself for once. Breaking free from her role as “that horrible Martin twin” is the only way to discover her true worth as an individual.
Adopted before even leaving home, Kaliana is filled with the anxiety that her new friends are only interested in her for a role they want her to play. Sick of being forced into other people’s expectations, she’s determined to press forward and reinvent herself so that she can leave behind her mistakes, or at least that was the plan. However, it seems that everywhere she turns, there’s another tie to Blues Meadow and yet another chance of her new life blowing up in her face. Will she ever be able to leave her past where it belongs?
Despite having relationships (none of which his little sister has approved of), Joshua Trent has never truly been in love. His best friend once promised him that his turn would come—if he were patient enough. She even went as far as to describe the most amazing woman, but it’s been two years, and she still hadn’t appeared. Until now. Josh knows nothing about the new woman in their midst, other than knowing she was his from the moment he laid eyes on her. Too bad he’s going to have his work cut out for him. Step one: convincing her that even though he fits her usual type, he’s nothing like any of her exes. Step two: proving that he’s the one guy who can give her the life she’s always wanted—as well as the love and acceptance she’s craved for her entire life. Unfortunately, his plan is destined to fail if she’s not willing to let him love her as she deserves.
Hello Readers, Please be advised that Claimed brings together characters from both Damaged and Forgotten. As such, Claimed will contain spoilers to both of those novels. Claimed (as with any novel in the series) can be read on its own, but I just wanted to give you a warning. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I do. Love, Graceli Kaye
Graceli has been a lifelong writer. She began in 5th grade as a way to process and deal with issues by using her creativity. Over the years, she continued to write until some seemingly unrelated storylines began to intertwine to the point that they couldn’t be separated, and that’s when The VAC Chronicles were born. Some of the stories in the series have already been published, and she has countless more in the works with hopes to bring them to you soon.
When she is not working or spending time with her family, Graceli can be found absorbed in her world, writing the next book or books in the series. She currently lives in Maryland with her two adorable kids and awesome husband while surviving on caffeine drinks, kitty cuddles, and Zumba.

Graceli Kaye has easy written the best book there is for anyone to read and relate to having any kind of issues with friends or family so truth be told we all need this book! She uses common words, and the emotional flow you feel like you are sitting gossiping with long time friends!
It is an easy read and highly recommend this book!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I think my general feeling is that this is the book I NEEDED in High School and young adulthood. As an adult, reading about honest sounding accounts of issues of topics of struggle, violence, pain, and family feels like such a trigger it is hard for me to immerse myself in this world. Nonetheless, I think this would have been a series I'd have soaked in like an angst-ridden teenage sponge if I had it a decade or two earlier!
I absolutely loved this book which the author seamlessly brings together all the characters in this series She created an engaging and interconnected storyline. The story itself is a captivating journey of self. Her character is relatable and well-developed, and you can't help but root for her as she navigates the challenges of leaving behind her. The chemistry between Ana and Josh is electric, making their budding romance a joy to follow. The author’s writing style is immersive, and the plot's twists and turns kept me hooked from start to finish. This is a heartwarming story about love, self-acceptance, and the courage to embrace a new beginning. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautifully written and emotionally resonant read. And I can’t forget Mellie, love her!
Claimed was an amazing emotional ride. I love Ana and her embracing of a new self and new outlook on life. This one is different from the previous two book in the series as it is not so much a person causing the conflict as it is Ana's poor choices earlier in life. As an empath Ana feels everything too much(I can relate) getting swept up in the emotions of others can lead to many hurts and miscommunications along the way. I am glad that Josh could push through her walls and find the woman inside. Ana deserves to be happy and see that she too is worthy of real love. I hope I can finish the next book before the end of the year. This was such a good read and even spicier than the previous books. I loved it!
I loved this story. Josh has been one of my favorites since book one! I like the twins but I do believe Ana is my favorite. And oh my goodness! Josh’s little sister Mellie. That sweet girl will steal your heart. Of course, I’ll always love Skye. I knew there was a connection between him and Nick. I’m so glad Ana got a happy ever after. She deserved it. I felt there was so much more to her story in the last book. I love all the family connections. Ivan is freakin awesome and I want Evan to find his HEA. I’d love to see family trees set up in the back of the books. That would be so cool.
“Get told somethin’ enough times; your brain tricks you into believin’ it’s a fact.” Seems like a weird fav quote, but this spoken from Ana really resonated through me. This story isn't just about a beautiful love story as two people find each other and learn to trust and commit. This is also about family and friends. Finding her family and friend circle is bigger than she realised, and learning to heal from her past. Although there is a lot of dialogue to keep up with, it's still a very good story.
This was a great entry in the series. I won't lie, Kali--excuse me--Ana, wasn't my favorite before this installment, and I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this one.
It was excellent. It was amazing getting some insight into her actions, and I feel like I understand her a little better.
