An excellent book to read and deliberate through the holy Advent season.

Along with homilies from Church, I have now learned that the first two weeks of Advent focus on the second coming (through readings from Revelations) and the last two focus on the birth of Christ.

This book was very good and helped put me in the right mood to contemplate the birth of Our Saviour.

I read the Magnificat holiday books every year. They publish a holiday edition for Advent and Lent. The daily reading takes only a few minutes.

The MAGNIFICAT ADVENT COMPANION devotional is a valuable part of my prayer life during the yearly Advent journey preceding the celebration of the birth of our Savior. This spiritual guide includes daily meditations, Blessings of the Christmas tree, Advent wreath, and Nativity scene as well as prayers to take us through Christmas tide. There is a unique Stations of Advent which may be prayed through Christmas to Epiphany.

Wonderful daily advent prayer reflection. Also, really enjoyed the additional content: the Advent Penance Service, the seven "Advent Stations" and the O Antiphons. Helps keep the spiritual focus of the season!
