Well...I finished it...
I don't know. It took me a couple days to finish this book. I honestly almost put it down unfinished. Micah, we keep seeing everyone comment on how strong she is but we aren't really seeing it. The twins feel like the only real relationship she's in. The Esme line feels fractured. Too much back and forth, then Esme has a wolf mate, then both said they didn't really feel it, then bam together sealing the tether. It didn't have any depth to it. Then Rook basically shadow-naps her to complete their mate bond. Lyrik is being sweet but hanging back. Rodyn is still in his stalker 180. Went from mommy's little killer to "Sookie is mine", er, Micah. And he's impatient for Micah to switch gears, too. Which tells me he doesn't understand women at all. This big battle is coming up. Micah knows that magic is going to be involved and rather than practicing her new abilities, or seeing if all her bonds unlock her powers, she's teaching them straight weapons fighting. Which, sure, their opponents use swords, but they also use magic. No one is protecting the students for this invasion, they're basically cannon fodder. Instead of untwisting the spell that turned the gargoyles evil she just slaughters them. They were protectors. Might have come in handy for this big fight. Or, you know, the kids' parents, being powerful members of the community, they could have helped. But no. Nothing seems thought out. There's no planning, no strategy. The characters are barely formed concepts that just sort of collapsed on themselves in this second book. There's supposed to be this big build, leading up to the cliffhanger ending - that I'm sure was supposed to be an emotional hit. But if you aren't falling in love with them, because everything is so disjointed and scattered, it lacks any kind of punch. There's a lot of interesting ideas floating around, they just lack cohesion and emotional connections. S*x isn't a plot. It isn't world building. It isn't character development. It doesn't replace emotion in a story. It won't win a war.
Btw, that scene with Marcus deserves some trigger warnings. He was not in control of his actions and both he and B were basically non-con. He because he wasn't him, being possessed and all. She because she consented to Marcus...but that wasn't Marcus. She didn't consent to who was at the wheel. And angels r*ping people just, no. And it is r*pe. Comparable to thinking it's your husband because you're in your bed and the lights are off. Then turning the lights on and it's not him. You might have consented to s*x, but not with that person. So, yeah, trigger warnings.

Dreia Wells! I hate you and love you right now! This book was so good. But it is over now. And that cliffy was not fair. Ty and Trys are still my favorite little ride or die psychos. And everything is so beautifully complicated and bloody. But come on!

I was honestly shocked when Micah started using her powers lol she’s spent so much time having sex that she hasn’t learned how to use them and as the reader I forgot she had any 🤣😭
Also, the consistent use of the word c*ck is ANNOYING AF!!! Other than that, the secks scenes were great!

HellNight Academy is back with its second book, Unhinged. Driea did a fantastic job with the second book, we're just getting into the deeper plot and things are getting good.
Micah just can't catch a break. Literally, everyone is out to get her, she is surrounded by enemies. Every time Micah is knocked down she gets back up, she's a fighter, and she will fight till the end. However, she's getting tired of all the BS, everything is wearing on her and there is a tinge of darkness that I don't think was prevalent before HellNight but Micah is still a good soul and she is trying her best to protect and do right by everyone.
Mates are complicated. Micah has four soul-tethers and two mates, I think, I might be counting wrong. The triplets (although I count Rodyn by himself and the others are the twins, and I'm not changing it), Lyrik, the sexy professor who is an incubus, Rook demon and her bio dad's right hand, and Esme, the seer. I realized now that Esme is a horrible tether. I've looked at all the things she's done, not done, and said and that is my conclusion. I don't like her for Micah but things seem to be progressing toward the good. Now things with the twins are fantastic they are obsessed. Rodyn has some groveling to do but at least he's on the right side, his momma really did a number on them. Lyrik is new and sweet and already devoted. Then there's Rook who revealed a heck of a lot and is totally in love with Micah. Good thing Micah has so many to care for her because she's gonna need all their support.
There have been a few developments. The major secret surrounding Micah's parentry has been found out by everyone. Micah has her answers while her brother, Marcus, and her father Kalob, find out exactly what Micah's mother (Verity) has done. The domino effect this causes is jaw-dropping. Micah meets bio dad who actually seems to love her and wants to be a dad. He's a little crazy but so are the twins so Micah is used to it.
Dreia's version of the Underworld was interesting as well as her take on angels and demons. There is an overall theme of grey. Demons aren't as bad as you think and on the flip side, angels aren't as good. Turns out Micheal is psychotic and all-powerful which is a devastating combination. Seriously, someone needs to smite his butt. Speaking of crazy, Headmistress Lucretia Larrieux is also batshit and coming for Micah for unknown reasons. The woman can't keep it together in the best of times and worst she doesn't even know how to do her job. I have no clue what she's playing at, but it can't be good. And this is just half of the stuff that's going down. I can say I was never bored reading this book.
Unhinged was an awesome read. I was captivated. A long-held secret was spilled, mates are everywhere, and the light guardians have lost it (literally), it was chaos, deadly chaos but I expect nothing less from HellNight. Everything was all good until that ending. I don't know what readers have done to Driea for her to do this to us. I'm pretty sure my scream was heard by the neighbors. Dreia was completely savage with that ending, oh, and that epilogue that revealed some major crap. I don't know what to do with myself. I guess I'll be on pins and needles until the next book.

The FMC is literally one of a kind, and she is battling between being good and evil. She’s also trying to deal with one problem after another, as well as mates. I think the twins of the triplets are my favorite, and I feel like the witch could be out of the equation, and it wouldn’t change any part of the book. If anything, they save her more than do anything else in the plot twist in this book. I didn’t see one of them coming, but it makes sense, and once again, it ends on a cliffhanger.

Love it!!!!
I am big Mad waiting on the release of the 3rd book. These are very well written. The story line is everything I could hope for in a book. I hate the big big cliff hangers because I'm dying to know what else happens. I really do love this series. They are going in my top 10 list.

Shook the book
I literally shook then slammed my kindle down, growled and screamed! WTF was the ending! OMG Dreia what are you doing to us. I sucked this book down in one sitting and I’m grabbing food and starting the finale immediately.
Ty and Try’s are still my hearts but Rook is creeping in the fast 💜

Micah is still fighting for her life which seems to have turned into a rollercoaster with ups and downs that get too close to the ground. It's almost a miracle that she's managing through all of that. With enemies at every corner, and mates that sometimes you like and others you don't. They seriously need to get a grip. Micah needs her HEA and answers! So many answers! Which we won't have until the next book come out (that cliffhanger is slowly and painfully destroying me).

Just wow that’s all I can say from the light guardians being controlled by Michael. Then the triplets mom breaking a deal of taking them out of the underworld when they were babies now they’re demonic side is going haywire 😬. But Lucifer needs to explain himself because 😳. Can’t wait for book 3.

DNF this one … I’m kind of sad about it because the story was really interesting.
The FMC is really to perfect for my taste. It’s like literally everyone falls for her.
The idea of this academy is awesome so it should take a larger place in the story. The story is too quick of my taste.

Angel's are good guys right? They're there to protect against Demon's aren't they? They have a whole army of Light Guardians, ready to defend...defend what? What IS the threat? Who is the threat? Well good golly miss Molly, who would have thought things aren't quite as they appear! What is and isn't supported to be becomes a battle of note! A battle of survival in a world of so many lies and so much deceit it boggles the mind! In all this commotion and calamity Micah is fighting for her life, it seems that everyone and their sidekick is out for blood, her blood. I loved the players in this book, loved how complex their characters are and how they "find" themselves. I really enjoyed how the plot left me guessing, had me thinking well, ok, that's not what I expected! There were lots of these moments, just when I thought I had it all figured out, who the bad guys were, then my brain did a 360 from what really unfolded. So much so that those I disliked intensely, even from book 1, had me second guessing myself. The revelations come in fast in this well paced book, opening up all sorts of possibilities.
Micah is a stunning character, so easy to fall in love with, so easy to empathise with and so easy to root for. She's literally a force of nature. The strength she shows, both physically, emotionally and physically, in coping and dealing with everything thrown her way, is magnificent! I loved the twins, how they barely hang on to a thread of normality, well Micah is their anchor, but still, after what they've been through at the hands of their mother, the goodness in them surfaces. Rook is still a firm favourite of mine, even though he's no longer "a key" although, to be frank, it's difficult not to like them all, all for different reasons, but I do like them all. As they all come to accept being Micah's tethered, I relished every minute reading how this came about. And boy oh boy were there some lovely hot, steamy, sexy scenes to prove just that!
At the end of the book, the author very succinctly asks if the reader has thrown their Kindle at the explosive ending and all I can say is, heck yes, I came within a hair of hurling mine at the wall from the cliffhanger!!!! But as is always the case, I composed myself enough to take a deep breath and all that's left is for me to hound Ms Wells for the next book!!!!!

OMG! Apparently, when the author wrote this book she decided that it was time...for allllll the drama to begin to unfold. The beginning? It's going to set the stage. We get a delicious prologue that explains more than a few things (some you'll have already suspected) and then the story plows ahead full speed! Secrets are being revealed and you're not going to want to put this book down! Micah is going to have a lot coming at her with this book, but it's going to make for a great read let me tell you!
There is some progress between the characters, and I absolutely love it! Lots of twists, surprises, and jaw-dropping moments. After that whole "challenge" situation from book one it leaves Micah with a huge target on her back...and the shots just keep coming because now...the angels are in on the drama, too. Seems like they are darker than one would have initially expected. Yes, I'm shocked. LOL!
Looking for the steamy? You get a nice amount of it. Some scenes/situations won't be to everyone's liking, but you know what they say - you can't please everyone. I would've liked certain scenes to play out differently than they do - focusing on magic abilities as much as physical ones. I say this because Micah made such a point of saying her father was against her using her magic in fighting. So, it would make sense to sharpen her skills there as well.
This book has a lot going to for it and if you loved these characters in book one you're not going to want to miss out on book two. Can't wait for book three!

WHAT???????? OMG NOOOOOOO!!!! WHY???? Oh, I love, and I also hate this feeling!!!
Let me start by saying, that I loved that the author started this book with a recap of book one. It is so incredibly helpful!!
Verity has a lot to answer for. I was so mad, that I could spit nails during the parts with her involved. I don’t know how to even explain my feelings for Marcus in this. He drew the shortest straw and lost. I just don’t know how to process that. I am so upset by the things happening.
We start book two right out the door with a bang. The amount of adrenaline running through my system did not stop. Micah has found herself quite the collection of Soul Tethers and mates. We have Ty, Trys, Esme, Rodyn, Lyrik, and Rook. We get more of Esme, Rodyn, Lyrik, and Rook in this installment. I would have loved more of Esme and Lyrik. There were several spicy scenes and I loved them.
A total of, maybe, 3 days passes the entirety of this book. It is complete and utter chaos from the start. In the absolute best of ways. It was so hard to put this book down and do other things. Micah has the worst luck. She cannot catch a break! So much happens. I don’t even know how this character is still standing. Collapsing and crying in a corner would have been earned.
The ending was a heck of a cliff. I have a serious love/hate relationship with cliffhangers, but this one was so good! Pick this book up and read it now! Don’t wait, just do it. I cannot wait for the next book.

THIS BOOK!! Micah finishes off the last book worried about her family and whisked away with what's likely to be some broken ribs and no one knows what is going on. Well we get to the underworld and learn a little more about what is going on and find out everything is nothing like it appears. Back at the school they're trying to paint the biggest target on Micah's back & the angels have decided that she's public enemy #1 due to her parentage so she just can't catch a break. Then when you think it can't get any worse her family is being destroyed and she is on a mission to save her little brother before she loses him too.
On the other hand the relationships between everyone really began to develop so that was great to read. This was one of the few books that I've seen that had one of the RH having a separate relationship outside of the group, but it would have been better if I actually liked the guy. Like seriously dude don't all growly and possessive now when you were literally just about to sit back and let your alpha rip her apart not too long ago smh.

Wow something happens in like every chapter of this book, it’s packed into the pages, and you really wonder if Micah is ever going to catch a break 😢
Instantly picking up after being dropped in the Underworld, Micah faces the bombshell of who her true parentage is and what that means for her!! Which just paints an even bigger target on her back….which certain witches *mommy Larrieux* are willing to exploit!!
It doesn’t help that Micah seems to be being used and dragged into a millennia old battle 😣😣
But thankfully her tethers and her mates are getting their backsides into gear in this book and really showing her that actually they are her for her, in their own crazy ways, I mean some certainly have far more to make up than others but you do get to see their individual relationships grow! 🥰 and Micah really is going to need all the support she can get as more and more comes to light about her family and the consequences of their actions 😩😩😩 who is going to pay the price?! 😢
Also what on earth is that epilogue about Ms Wells?!?! That’s going to take this in a whole new direction I see 🫢

Wow something happens in like every chapter of this book, it’s packed into the pages, and you really wonder if Micah is ever going to catch a break 😢
Instantly picking up after being dropped in the Underworld, Micah faces the bombshell of who her true parentage is and what that means for her!! Which just paints an even bigger target on her back….which certain witches *mommy Larrieux* are willing to exploit!!
It doesn’t help that Micah seems to be being used and dragged into a millennia old battle 😣😣
But thankfully her tethers and her mates are getting their backsides into gear in this book and really showing her that actually they are her for her, in their own crazy ways, I mean some certainly have far more to make up than others but you do get to see their individual relationships grow! 🥰 and Micah really is going to need all the support she can get as more and more comes to light about her family and the consequences of their actions 😩😩😩 who is going to pay the price?! 😢
Also what on earth is that epilogue about Ms Wells?!?! That’s going to take this in a whole new direction I see 🫢

To say that Micah has had a day of it would be understatement of the century. However I'll leave that for her to show you what took place 😉. Get ready for one wild and emotional ride - filled with betrayal, shocks, earth shattering revelations, action, possessive and sexy alpha males and more. Family is a definite theme through this gem of a read. The kind we are raised in. The kind we share blood with. Then the kind we choose with every fiber of our being. Micah, as well as many of her chosen family get shocking revelations.... Seems It's that kind of week- everyone is off balance and on edge. I loved this book so much! So much was packed within these pages. The action was insane, the level of heartbreak and deception, discovery, and of course love- Micah and her Soul Tethers, mates and betrothed ❤. A certain Archangel *might* want to be a tad less cocky regarding his plan....i have a feeling in the next book Micah may give him an angelic time out for all the mess/pain has caused- and I'm totally here for it if that happens. This series is just all around awesome!! It's exciting and full of emotion....i can't wait to see how this all plays out.

Book 2 is finally here and I couldn’t wait to get started on it. First things first this book jumps straight in with a recap on what happened in book 1. This book is a dark paranormal romance so if you have any triggers just make sure to read the warning first. The book is written in MPOVS which is also fantastic. Micha is trying to navigate her day to day life with 4 soul teachers a fated mate and her betrothed but time is definitely not on her side which doesn’t help the challenges she already faces. Micha just wants to settle into her new normal but everything is then thrown on its head once again. She finally finds out what’s she is and everyone wants something from her, wether that is wanting to use her to wanting her dead. It ends up being an all out witch hunt with Micha being public enemy number 1, but all bets are off as she is done being someone else’s pawn. I am completely in love with this series. OMG I did not see any of that coming. That dam cliffhanger is killing me I hate it and love it all at the same time book 3 better not take to long getting a bit punchy here. Lol kidding don’t care how long it takes.

We are back at Hell Night Academy, and nobody's safe. A continuation from Unshaken we pick up with our main character Micha after she has defied her parents by sneaking off to Hell Night Academy, finding out she is a witch/angel hybrid, discovering her four tethers, a fated mate, annnd her betrothed!! Talk about life changes!
I do not want to give any spoilers since what I love about Dreia's writing is the interconnectedness and all of the delicious twists and turns in the story. I mean we know the headmistress is up to no good...but how far is she willing to go and who is she willing to sacrifice? Micha's parents have some explaining to do, the heated fellowship is HOT, Micha and her harem have to kick ass and play investigators but not die...and when it's discovered who the real villain is the perceived bad guys might be the only good guys after all!
This instillation of the Hell Night Academy series does end on a cliff hanger, but it already has me geared up and waiting on the next book!! I hope you'll give this great series a chance and love it as much as I do!!

I could NOT put this book down. From start to finish it was an adrenaline rush.
The prologue shows us what happened to her family and gives us a taste of how crazy train the archangel Michael is. He takes Marcus and plans to use him against Micah.
Chapter 1 picks up where book 1 left off.
Micah is pulled into the underworld and learns who her father is and that Rook is her mate…and her betrothed.
Oh and that she’s exactly what the archangels have hunted into extinction…
When she makes it back to the academy, her tethers are losing it, as well as the school.
After some bombshells and the headmistress outing her to the school, her outlying tethers start to gravitate back towards her and accept her.
Esme has a catastrophic vision that if it came to pass would be devastating.
With Michael coming at her full force and manipulating those closest to her…it looks bleak.
THAT ENDING 😭
I need book 3 now 👇

Unhinged, the second book in the HellNIght Academy series by Dreia Wells was an absolutely amazing ride that I didn’t want to ever end!Picking up right where the last book left us, this story continues the story of Micah, her mates and soul tethers and all the chaos that ensues from the last books ending.
This beautifully well written captivating story is full of action and an intense plot that it will definitely keep you intrigued. And when secrets are finally revealed, it only gets even more intense of a ride! Thank goodness Micah is a strong fierce FMC with a super dedicated and well diverse harem that will do anything to keep her safe. I also love that it’s written from multiple POVs so we can see a bit behind others eyes and can’t wait for more!
Full of lots of steamy heat, endless action, drama and twists and turns this story is one you definitely need to grab if the first one was one that left you begging for more. Just be warned! This one does have a killer cliffhanger ending but it’s well worth it trust me!

What a fantastic book 2! I loved all the backstory this book provided - I feel like I really understand our characters' motivations and goals. I like that it challenged the angels and demons stereotypes - everything is never as it seems. Learning more about the underworld and how it meshes into Micah's world was super interesting. As for our MCs...Ty and Trys have my whole heart, Lyrik - VERY EXCITED to see more of him as we go, Rook - not sure about him just yet, Esme - *heart eyes emoji* her evolution as a character is fabulous, and Rodan - is it sad that I want him to redeem himself in the most glorious way possible? Micah is goals - she is kind, loyal, and a freaking WARRIOR QUEEN!
There are a few very important questions we have yet to answer. THE CLIFFHANGER ON THIS BOOK - it really has me questioning a couple of characters. EDGE OF MY SEAT PEOPLE! That's where you'll find me waiting for book 3.

Dreia, you did NOT come to play with this book! There was so much going on you didn't want to put it down until you finished reading, even then you're not ready for that kind of ending. Micah's story definitely does not get easier in this book. We pick up right after book 1, and she's in the Underworld now, facing down the bomb dropped on her. Her true lineage and parents, and what that changes for her. This also makes her life just that much harder, painting an even bigger target on her back, which people are ready to take advantage of.
I was glad to see that her mates and tethers were finally stepping up to the plate and making sure they were able to help her. Some of their methods be a little different but they all mean well. Dreia makes sure that we see growth in the individual relationships with Micah and her tethers/mates. Micah will certainly need all of the support she can get so this was important to the overall story.
I have no idea where this story will be taken next but I'm equally parts worried and happy!

The ending destroyed my heart! I couldn't believe Dreia left it there! I need book three now!
Unhinged, book two in the HellNight Academy by Dreia Wells, is a stunning example of how conflict and action pushes a plot along to the point where it feels like you're reading a marathon.
From the prolouge Dreia commanded my attention, hooking me effectively with Micah's brother Marcus, and we find out what happened to Mi's family, and I avidly read on needing to know what happens next because the author has created characters that are not only unique, but are complex, and I love it!
The setting combined with the characters made me sit on the edge of my seat as it all works so well together. I am so emotionally invested in these characters who just make my heart squee!
The ending though! I can't stop thinking about it! I need book three desperately! I need to know what happens next!!!

Well, this was a rollercoaster of a story!
There are a lot of questions answered from the first book, along with a few you didn't realise you had, and a whole load more are waiting to be answered in the next book!
Micah - along with us, the readers - learns a lot more about her family, and about the angels that rule over them. We also learn more about the triplets' family - and there are more parallels with Micah's life than any of them realise, which helps explain the strength of their bond.
There are a lot of tropes that pop up in the book, but they all make sense and flow, it never feels that any of them are there for the sake of it.
The book ends on a cliff-hanger - as the author says in her post-script - you threw your kindle, didn't you? - and I can't wait for the next book!

We’re back with book 2. Micah is back in the mix of things. She is surrounded by people who want to go after her. But they can’t keep her down. She will keep fighting for her life. We’ve learned she has four soul tethers and two mates. She has Lyrik an incubus. Rook a demon, Esme the seer, she also has Rodyn and the twins. I think all of her tethers and mates are trying to support her the best they can. The secret surrounding Micah’s parents is being discovered. Her brother and father have discovered even more secrets that Micah’s mother was keeping. Everything is spiraling as we learn more and more. I love this version of demons and angels becuase everything isnt as it seems. The headmistress is a bit weird in my opinion. I honestly don’t know how she’s head of a school . This book had so much in it but also left me needing more. I cant wait for the next one.
