Everything we’ve been through comes down to this.

Against all odds, Calla is adjusting to her new life alongside the vampires who brought her into the supernatural world.

As they work to bring longtime enemies together, to forge a better future for vampires and humans alike, they must find a way to mend the rifts created long before Calla even existed.

But the rocky relationship between the vampires and those who hunt them isn’t the only threat. An ancient dynasty of vampires close to them is hellbent on destroying their peace and the life Calla has built with her mates.

And she will do whatever it takes to make it last forever, because if she fails, they’ll lose everything they’ve worked for, their hearts, and even their lives.

The ending was just what I expected which was a nice way to finish the series. All loose ends tied up and a happy ending for our fave characters.

If you like books about vampires / RH or relatively short book lengths available on KU this series may pique your interest :)

Overall, this series was alright. It was a series that can be consumed fairly quickly and the plot is quite solid. I do feel like the characters of this series could have been a bit more developed and detailed because I feel like I only saw the tip of the ice berg when it came to Atlas, Lex, Gabriel and Kade. If anything I wanted to know more about them compared to what we got. Calla as an overall character was a pain in the ass, the amount of times she made dumbass decisions was doing my head in.😂 Although that started to lessen in later books but honestly I didn’t really like her as a character. If you’re going make a series long at least make the main character likeable. It’s safe to say that I’m glad this series is over and that all the characters ended up with a happy ending.

I read most of this series in December and had to wait a really painful month for the final book. I mean, that cliffhanger in book 5? What the hell. Whatever.

This series is fairly good. It's not perfect, I won't lie, but I've read a lot worse. I *love* the dynamic between Calla and Atlas, and would have loved to have seen more between Lex, Calla, and Atlas. Also would have liked more between Lex and Kade. I don't have any major complaints about this series, and the concept was fun, especially in the first book. I liked that it ended without marriage or babies, because that tends to be the default ending for most p*rn books.

I feel like there were a couple questions left unanswered upon the conclusion of the final book, and I can't remember if that's because they were answered in previous books or simply left unsaid (I have read *a lot* of books in the time since starting this series and waiting for this final book, so my memory is a little shot). Did we ever get a solid explanation on why Calla could resist glamour as a human? Or why she can hear Atlas's voice in her head after getting turned? Or why she and Lex (it was Lex, right? it certainly wasn't Atlas or Gabriel, and I don't think it was Kade) could dream-talk with one another?

I have a feeling that JA Carter set up for a series centered around Brighton as well as the Blood Magic series focused on Tessa, so those are two series that I'll probably read whenever they get published.

Warning: This is not a standard review, it is not meant to tell others how I felt about the book, it is my personal review/ notes on the book as I read/ random rants (for when I look back in the future to see how I felt about the book) and probably NOT a great way to tell if you want to read the book.
As I can not make reviews private this is my warning:
It’s all slightly random, choppy and most likely confusing // read at your own discretion. Will also contain lotsss of spoilers.
Enjoy my brain 😄

Over all really did like this last book actually and the last 10% was really good and I hope we get more action like that in the future books.

I prefer books where the sex scenes mean something and have a little impact. But these mean so little and happen so much 😅

Also these people never had relationship problems 😂😂

Ok in total: the series was too long and had too many sex scenes. But if I were to shorten it and remove the quantity of sec scenes; I did really enjoy this series. I thought the PRN aspects were fun and if they were flushed out a little more would have been so cool. I think Calla was often a pretty badass MFC. I thought the guys were fun and the angst was well written! The sex scene quality was good and very enjoyable.
I will most definitely be reading this authors next books! Little anxious to see how Tessa and Bri’s stories will be used. But still excited. I feel like this author will keep getting better and I look forward to see that.
For a first series this was definitely a good one. There could have been a lot of edits and such but I did enjoy this series and I think that’s all that matters. But I will be honest… I’m excited to be able to read something else for a bit 😅 I’ll be keeping my eye out for the next books!

In response to another review on here

Agreed: also I just finished the series so it’s all fresh in my mind, if you did actually want answers to those questions:
Calla resisting glamor: We never got a solid reason, all that Tessa said was that it might be because of her connection to the guys. So it wouldn’t work if it was with any other vampire.
We never get an answer to why atlas can talk to her in her, he does it like 4ish times in total, they just accept it and say it’s because of their really strong connection.
And as far as dream walking: the first time was Gabe actually 😅 and then it happened again when Gabe and calla were at her parents and the rest of the guys were home. And they all had a dream walk thing together.
The first time Gabe does it they all seems very very confused. But then in book 5 when they all do it atlas says that he’s done it in the past and that all vampires can do it with some difficult.
There were a few other thing along that line that were left unanswered and we just kinda have to except them.

In response to a different one saying Lex didn’t get involved in much sex in the last book. I think it was mainly Gabe who wasn’t. But yeahhh

More like 3.5. Pretty good ending. It was a little predictable but good overall. Liked Calla’s character development, loved how Atlas ended his parents. The smut was good. In the end Calla got her HEA with her men and bestie.

I’ve been waiting for this book to come out since October when I read the rest of the series. It was a good final book but the ending felt very abrupt. I wish the author would have elaborated a little more instead of the quick ending. Still really liked the series though.

Well I’m glad I finally finished. I don’t know when I last rated something as three stars, but my goodness this series was drawn out. I am a huge fan of insta-lust, mates, enemies to lovers, vampires, and lots of spice.

This book consisted of 45% drinking coffee, blood or eating for meals, 45% basic, non connected more FWB spice, and 10% plot. The spice was so casual and even if it was intense for a moment, usually they walked away and went back to being distanced. The guys times together seemed way too casual for their long term friendships. It was just odd interactions that were repetitive and took a long time to even come together as a group. Just an odd timeline.

The series was split into 6 small books which is upsetting because I spent $55.41 for only 35 hours and 52 minutes of a story I had to speed through.

This story wasn’t bad, but was WAYYYY too drawn out. The epilogue was 4 minutes of nothing.

It gives the vibes of those unpublished short story things that you have to pay by chapter to read or even wattpad.

Now the NARRATION was wonderful!!!!

Welcome Home.

A dark RH and PNR, centered on an ancient conflict between Vampires and Hunters.
Will they finally reach an agreement? Can they stop history from repeating itself?

The previous books were dual POV, featuring our FMC and one of the MMCs, which helped us get to know each MMC more deeply. This latest book is multi-POV — everyone’s involved. LOL

One thing that stays consistent throughout the series is the fantastic level of steam. It never disappoints — I swear my glasses fog up!
It's also hilariously funny, especially thanks to two specific vampires who crack you up with every line they deliver.

I loved the series overall, though I felt something was missing at the end. I think I expected more. While our FMC does show growth, she still has her limitations, and that left me with a sense of powerlessness on her part.

We do get a HEA — "Until forever ends."

I really hope the author doesn’t stop here and gives us more from this world. I’d love to see Tessa and Brighton get their own story too!

Conclusions

Wow it's the end of this series. I've enjoyed the chemistry, the pleasures, and the rocky road to peace.

I was shocked at the final move for peace and feel that we needed a little more emotional insight into atlas on that one, but otherwise absolutely understand why it was taken.

I would love to hear more developments about any of the m/m chemistry too, I do enjoy watching someone personal orientation fluidity being explored.

This series has it all. I definitely cannot wait to see more of this world.

I definitely want to see more about Tessa and her love life. I feel a triad going on there.

Brighton and her potential triad I definitely want to hear about.

Any spinoffs in the works cannot come fast enough.

*** CONTAINS SPOILERS ***

I definitely recommend this series 👌🏻 I loved it! This book was by far my favorite with all the pieces finally coming together and that ending with Atlas's parents'...phew 🥵
That hallway scene with Atlas, I was nervous on their behalf 🤭
I absolutely love the fact that they got out of the house more and that she went to spend time with Tessa at the Valor Academy AND that Calla and Brighton's relationship is on the mend. I am looking forward to seeing what lies ahead in the next series of Valor Academy 🤩

Great ending, spicy as always, attention grabbing

This series is one you just don't put down. Its full of spice, and the main storyline is engaging leaving you wondering what's going to happen next. Calla is a sassy FMC who doesn't disappoint or back down even when she is terrified. The guys are over protective, attentive, sexual, loving and all the good things we look for in a multiple love interest series!

It was a good series, but this last book was waaaay too rushed. The big finale was over in a flash and I don't even know what that epilogue was.
Normally in RH, the fmc splits her time between all guys, unfortunately as the series progressed, Calla was obviously prioritizing Atlas over the others, especially in this book, and it felt like Lex became a side character in the relationship. But because most of the books were good and I loved the characters, I'm still gonna give this one 3 stars.

Decent plot

The idea for this series is good and the plotline is pretty decent. However the gratuitous sex throughout the series gets really boring. I'm all for decent smut but this series got really repetitive. The series could have been condensed into three books by cutting out 75% of the sex scenes and would have been much better. I ended up skipping many of those scenes by the fifth and sixth books because it was boring to read, like the author needed filler content.

Great book

I absolutely love these characters, Lex the wild one, Kade is a bit crazy obsessive ,Gabriel the gentle one ,and Atlas the dominate sire they all bring out different sides to Calla, whom is amazing an fierce on her own. I love how sassy and playful she is. I can't wait to see if more comes our way about Brighton and Marcel or where they end up. And Atlass mother well that women should not have under estimated her son, crazy psycho parents ....

This is the sixth and final book in the Blood Oath series. What a rollercoaster ride this series has been!! I have been on the edge of my chair the entire series. This series is HOTT!!! This is a PNR RH. Bridget and Jake Bordeaux did a phenomenal job narrating the entire series.

Amazing ending

This was a great ending to this series. Loved the multiple POVs. As always, Atlas is my favorite, and I love how much he's changed over the series, but he is still true to himself. It was so hot and sexy and I loved this series.

keeps your interest through all 6 books

Couldn’t put the book down. All 6 were great. But if you don’t like very descriptive sex scenes this is not for you. Can’t wait to read the next series in 2024!

no words… hands down perfection

The perfect conclusion to this series. None of the harem was killed, the big baddies are dead, and our babies get to live their happily ever after. I literally have no other words. Thank you J. A. Carter for this series!

The narration was amazing. Truly brought each character to life. The story is intriguing, drawing you in. The characters keep you on your toes. You just never know what you’re going to get. The spice is off the charts. With each book the story builds and in this final chapter I was blown away. The emotional whirlwind. I couldn’t get enough.

This was the conclusion to the Bound in Crimson series. Pretty much more of the same. Fighting to get what they want from the bad guys. Every other scene is Explicit. Don't get me wrong, I typically enjoy those scenes but it was getting very repetitive. What there was of the plot was good.

I love a good smexy book but I feel like this was more heat than action. I enjoyed the series and the plot but I feel like it got a little lost in the all the heat. The book was a little predictable but I do have to say atlas brought it and made it worth while. Narrators are phenomenal!

Wow

This was a great finale to this series. Lots of spice, love, suspense, and action. Got to see lots of side characters and hints as to what is next. Loved it. It's nice to see the guys growing into their love and commitment to Calla and to see her grow into her potential. Loved it.

Audiobook Review:
5/5
The Bordeaux’s really gave life to this series through their narration. Bridget did a stunning job for Calla and the male voices when the story is told from her POV. Jake did a fantastic job giving distinct voices to each of the MMCs when the story is being told from their POVs. A+++ on the steamy scenes told by Calla, Atlas, Kate, Lex, and Gabriel. 😏🌶️👅

Novel Review:
4/5
Blood Oath book #6 is told from all our main characters POVs while they try to form a treaty between the vampires and hunters. After the cliffhanger standoff between Calla and Brighton at the end of Blood Oath book #5, they are learning how to trust one another again. The all powerful York family (Atlas’ parents) are vehemently against a treaty between the vampires and the hunters and make their opinion abundantly clear when they take something precious from our MMCs. Atlas, Kade, Lex and Gabriel travel to the York estate and all hell breaks loose. However, this novel does end on HEA note and wraps up the series beautifully!

Thanks to J.A. Carter and Jess Rampersand for the ALC for my review.
