Jabari “Bar” Lee is a man that knows what he has. Getting locked up changed him in ways that others didn’t like. He just wants to live a normal life and be a father to his daughter, but there are those in his life that would rather see him flooded with drama than peace. Storm Blake is your average girl that works and does what she has to do to provide for her family. Clubbing and partying are things people of her age did, except she didn’t do any of those things. The one night she did decide to step out of her comfort zone, her life makes an interesting turn. You have two people who weren’t in the same circle unite and form an attachment that they can’t see themselves letting go of. Sometimes what you’re used to isn’t what you should continue to accept.
4.5⭐️only because I wanted more. This was so well written but far too short. I enjoyed the writing and characters in this story. It felt real and authentic. I would have loved to read where Jabari and Storm’s relationship went, even if only an epilogue. Storm was so mature and could handle her own. She spoke bluntly and didn’t play with her words. I also liked that she didn’t hold Jabari’s past against him. When Dani showed up at the restaurant I would have walked off and not given Jabari time of day again. The fact that she didn’t hold Dani’s actions against him was so interesting to me. Maturity and grace in abundance in this woman - even if she did kick her ass a couple seconds later, ha.
Ma'am, where the rest of the story at? 😂 We couldn't get an epilogue or nothing, to kind of wrap up the story?? Anywho, Jabara did his time, and came out with a different mindset. That trifling baby momma of his was on that rah rah ish, and he was ready to be done with her! He just wanted a normal life with his baby girl. Storm, laid back, quiet and took care of her business. After the McDonald's incident, Jabari's radar is fine tuned on Miss Storm! I don't condone violence, but Dani deserved that ass whooping she got from Storm! 😂 Just when these two were getting to know each other, the end? Hope there is more to come from this couple. 👍👍
My first Connie Easton read and it was a good one.
Jabari ‘Bar’ and Storm were bound to end up together. Even amid the crazy circumstances in their lives, their story is proof that timing is everything and everything happens for a reason.
I’m glad Storm beat the brakes off of Dani and Dream. I’ll look into more of her books to add to my TBR list.

Absolutely love this one. Jabari and Storm were such a breath of fresh air. I couldn’t get enough of their story, and I’m so excited to dive into part 2!
Ok i am pissed. This was sooo good , too good to just cut if off like that oh my gosh. I wished it was longer, i felt like i was just brushing the surface of who both them are and will be as a couple. Regardless this was a wonderful read.
Ok, so some discrepancies. Storm first said she was 25 to Jabari's 32 and that her younger brothers name was Grey, then said she was 24 when she met Jabari's sister and her younger brother was referred to as Sunny for the rest of the book. Storm's cousin was a mess and Storm seemed to want to be blind to it. Like girl, believe her when she showed how she really felt the first time. Dani was trif, but Jabari was wild for inviting his new girl to the supervised visit and not expecting a reaction. Like seriously! Leave Storm at home and let Dani chill in peace with her daughter. Overall, it was a cute story.
Jabari is in a relationship that he knows is not a benefit to him. He wants to rest and have a family. The person he is with pretended to want what he wanted, and he was over it.
Storm is working two jobs to help provide for her mom. She meets Jabari after his girlfriend berates her on her job.
She and Jabari cross path again on her job in the mall. He sees her, likes her, and wants her. She is keeping the distance because she knows he has a girlfriend.
The third time they meet, he decides that he will not let her get away. He has to prove himself to her, but once he does, she has to deal with the jealous of someone close to her.
I really enjoyed Jabari and Storm’s story! 💕 Storm was quiet and meek until pushed too far, while Jabari was calm and reserved until someone crossed him. Together, they were perfect for each other. ❤️
Jabari’s bitter baby mama and Storm’s jealous cousin tried hard to ruin their happiness, but both learned quickly not to play with Storm or the people Jabari loved. 👏🏾💥
I loved how their families embraced one another, and how Storm became Jabari’s peace. 🥹💙 They truly were each other’s quiet storm, and I’m glad they got their HEA! 👑📚
This was such a cute story of boy meets girl!!!…I love how gentle and apologetic Bar was with Storm!!!… I get that he was irritated with her cousin because, geeesshhh, give a person a minute to tell their own story, especially if you putting their business out in the public!!!… Danielle found out the hard way, just because someone does not react, does not mean they are weak!!!…
Wow Mrs Easton did not disappoint at all. This book was a cute love story. Bar is a humble man that don’t like drama. He only want to work and take care of his daughter. Then he met Storm, because of the way his baby’s mother treated storm he realized he no longer had feelings for baby mama and thought storm was cute. The way he went about getting to know her and showing her what he was about is one for the books. Definitely worth the read.
What the entire heck, Connie Easton! This story made no sense whatsoever! How do you paint a character as: mild, meek, kind and don’t like drama and fighting and have that same said character fight throughout the ENTIRE BOOK. There was no connection between the MMC AND FMC. It actually made no sense and he was a bit aggressive and strange. I won’t be reading another of her books. It was way too disjointed for me.
I loved this love story. Storm was so chill and laidback until provoked. She drank her water and minded her business. Before running into Jabari a few times and considering it fate she was single and not looking. He was determined to have her knowing she was just the peace and type of quiet storm he needed in his chaotic life. It was sweet, beautiful, and definitely interesting.
I like Storm, she's so sweet and timid but baby girl got hands. I think her and Bar will be perfect for each other. I was liking Dream at first because I liked how she had her cousin's back but now she seems like a hater. I wonder how she's gonna feel when she finds out that Bar isn't as broke as she thinks.💙💙
Jabari “Bar” Lee is trying to rebuild his life after prison and focus on being a good father to his daughter. Storm Blake is a hardworking young woman who keeps to herself and avoids drama. After an unexpected encounter, the two develop a connection, but past relationships, jealous family members, and outside interference threaten their chance at happiness.
A man who is humble and whole ✅ A woman who is soft and safe ✅ A mother’s prayers ✅ …when you have a cousin like THAT 🫢😤🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊 I wish we could’ve seen the look on ol’ girl face after the “house, car and business “ cause I know she was 😭😭😭😭😭🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🤢🤢🤢🤢🤡🤡
Anywho…. Did anyone else love these character names??? ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Perfect title. She was coi and quiet, but not a push over. I feel like the male character Jabari inter monologue was a bit over done. It was a alot going on and nothing at the same time. BM was dramatic and lost custody and that was it. He was out of the street game and just working as a mechanic at BMW. It was a weird concept all around, but well written.
Storm had people fooled. They ( Dani & Dream) thought they could play with her because she was quiet. I’m glad Jabari and Storm found each other. Opposites definitely attract. Dani was such a dead beat. How you hide two whole other kids from your man? SMH. This was a quick, good read.
I love a good romance. Jabari made some good money moves. After Storm received her business degree, I hope she starts a business for herself. Ready to read Weathering the Storm.
Wow! Just when the story started getting good, it abruptly ended. It feels like a prelude to another book, I’m definitely feeling a ways about this, it just feel incomplete. Sorry, not cool, Ms. Easton!
This story started off decent, but somehow lost it’s way. There was never any connection or chemistry between Jabari and Storm. The flow of the book was not seamless. I didn’t enjoy it.
I was loving this story, I feel like there is so much more for these two characters. I loved Storm and the way she thought was beautiful. Give them some more.😊
Quiet Storm was a good, quick read. I loved how Storm stayed focused on her goals and blocked out the nonsense. But when the drama came knocking at her door, she handled it—and took the man! I’m excited to see where love takes Storm next.

The ending wasn’t the cliff hanger I was expecting! Connie usually have you going “What’s Next!” Loved Storm’s energy! She is perfect for Jabari. Can’t wait to get into the second book.
I liked me some Storm. She was a good girl that kept to herself. Often times people think the sweet girls were weak and scary but she ended up showing her jealous cousin and Jabari babymomma that she got hands.
Storm was true to her name. She could be quiet or chaotic whatever the situation required. Bar was a man about his business and family and you weren’t going to play with either.
That cousin of hers annoyed me from the very beginning. Honestly, her and the baby mama should’ve just been friends. It was a cute story, though! I enjoyed the relationship between her mom and her future son in law lol.
It was a short cute book. I was glad that Jabar left his baby mom. She wasn't right for him. Storm was the great person for him. She was quiet but a storm when people messed with her. I would recommend the book
