Slicer has been tasked with the war’s most important task: infiltrate Goldbug’s camp around Metroplex to sabotage his plans and gather information for Ultra Magnus. The bot that controls the Titan wins the war, but Slicer has bigger problems. And Soundwave gives a voice to all of them.
Kinda disappointing for a final issue. I loved seeing more of Soundwave, but it seemed slightly too long of a focus considering the other characters that were built up to have specific conflicts (Megatron mainly, where was bro?) Optimus being killed straight off the bat was a choice, and one that I feel cut the tension of the first volume. As well it kinda limited what Megatron could contribute to the narrative. I was expecting more emotional notes and serious dialogue, but I guess when Starscream died he took the drama with him 😭. Overall decent issue, just didn’t resolve as completely as I’d have liked and felt flat emotionally.
Sidenote, Danny Lore thank you for whatever decisions you made in Volume 1:Issue:5 cause who knew the doomed yaoi issue was gonna be the best to come out of this series 😭😭😭

I am definitely not as into the Autobot characters as I am with the Decepticons. Also, there's no emotional core to this sequel like there was in the first arc, but it is really nice to see Jetfire again.
