I liked most of the characters in this series but couldn’t get past the errors, internal dialog and writing style. It was repetitive even within a chapter as though the author forgot she already said that or she used a ghost writer or God forbid she let AI do the writing. The first few books were ok and then it all fell apart. As the books progressed the author added a ton of new characters and tied them all together with the original cast at the end. It was unrealistic and silly at times. Don’t get me started on the overuse of excruciating details like how a perfume smelled, each and every note of the fragrance. This may be the worst series I’ve ever read.
The book is called the Beachfront Complete Series. The first several books were really good, with warm and colorful characters that you come to care about. Around book 6 in the series, the stories started to spiral away from the 3 central characters, new story lines introduced, and new characters that did not add to anything interest or story. Complete? Not! At the end of book 8, is a blurb that says if you want to find out what happens to Ava , who is all but forgotten in book 8, get the next book. So disappointed!
I absolutely fell in love with Ava and her extended family - both of choice and if chance., when I picked up the first book as a freebie. And Author Ainsley Keaton has kept me up nights as I have read almost 2000 pages that have taken me from Nantucket, near where I was born, to California.
Thing about these books is that these women are not cookie cutter wives. Yes,most of them have enough money to live in these well off communities but they are relatable. And you want to know them, to sit on the deck with their pups and be a friend of this family.
I am not going to spoil any of the books, but if you want to see what was said when I reviewed book 1, that review is around. However, these books read like 1 big beautiful story and all I can say is brave brava. Highly Recommended 5/5
I really enjoyed this series and finished it the day after my first visit to Nantucket. However, the last two books, especially, really needed to be proofread and corrected. There were many wrong words, misspellings, and even wrong names used so many times. There were parts that were hard to understand because of all these errors. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.
This series is about women who love and support each other. Each lady struggles through her life issues and problems. Through many twists and turns you will enjoy each journey. I encourage you to get started and meet the ladies. They have interesting things to share.
It was an adventure reading a 7-book series. Happily, a lot was resolved, so you don't feel like there's a lot missing. Only difficulty was the number of errors/typos. It was a pain to keep rereading some sections to make sense.
This story was a good one, but the author repeated herself too many times. I am a speed reader so I was able to skip ahead a lot but I would have preferred the story told straight forward.
Amazing series! I did not want it to end . All characters and storylines were explored. I loved this series! You will, too! It will not disappoint. A once in a great while fantastic read. Don't miss it !
