Scottie and her boyfriend Arsenio have a sex life dryer than the Sahara desert. She wants spice and kink in the bedroom that will blow her mind. Unfortunately Arsenio can’t figure out how to truly please Scottie and she is fed up. She and her best friend Alicia have always had a close bond and have toed the lines of their friendship. I’m not sure if there was a build up of sexual tension or the relinquishing of feelings that have always been there but the floodgates and Pandora’s box opened at the same time and I was not ready.

Alicia and her boo blew Scottie’s mind both together and individually and she was forever changed. After the incredible sexual experiences they provided, Scottie didn’t think she would ever be able to go back to a time where it was just her and Arsenio.

The spicy and nasty sex did what needed to be done however the obsession that Scottie developed became borderline psychotic and was very strange. If you’re going to cross certain lines I feel like there needs to be a clear understanding of how things should be. I think it was clear for Alicia and her man but Scottie did not get the memo and she turned the story very weird in the end. Actions became questionable and I didn’t like how the story ended.

The Sweetest Heat by Bianca Xaviera was a quick, steamy read that had me glued to the pages from the start. At its core, this story follows Scottie as she finds herself questioning whether she’s truly happy in her relationship, and once temptation enters the picture, things get complicated fast. What I enjoyed most was that this wasn’t just about physical attraction. There were emotions, friendships, loyalty, and a whole lot of blurred lines mixed into the drama.

Alicia and Ryder brought so much tension to the story because every interaction between this group had me wondering how long they could keep things from boiling over. The chemistry throughout this novelette was undeniable, but what really pulled me in was watching the dynamics between all three characters shift as feelings, desires, and reality started colliding. Bianca Xaviera did a great job making the connections feel believable, even when I wanted to yell at certain characters to get it together.

And listen… Scottie had me stressed because sometimes she was moving entirely too thirsty for my comfort, while Arsenio continuously reminded me why I was side-eyeing him from the beginning. Everybody in this story was making choices, and I was sitting back with my popcorn watching the fallout. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, drama-filled, steamy read packed with tension, complicated relationships, and characters who will have you talking to the pages, The Sweetest Heat is definitely worth checking out. This was my first read by Bianca Xaviera, and it definitely made me curious about the rest of her catalog.

My goodness is this what good sex does to someone? Scottie’s nose was wide open when it came to Alicia and at times I don’t even think the men mattered much to her. You would’ve thought Scottie and Alicia were in an exclusive relationship with how she was acting, plus her insecurities were driving her up the wall. If you wanna read something quick and steamy this might be the one for you
