All For You

Rate this book
The hottest guy in our hometown just returned, and the military did him good.

They always say you haunt the places that feel most like home.

That’s the water for me. It reminds me of my dad.

But I’m terrified to go out on any boats—even the ones we build.

All is well until the bossy older brother of my BFF joins the company.

I design the boats and this hunk hires the rough guys that build them.

Back in the day, he was the finest thing on two legs, and honestly, not much has changed.

He’s haunted by his time in the service, and I find myself wanting to soothe him, to save him more than I should.

Now if we could just quit bumping heads at work.

I’m hell on wheels and I do things my way, and this guy thinks it’s cute.

I’ll show him cute!

When he starts to pull away to protect me from the shadows that hang around his pain, I press in harder.

I’m not sure if I’m here to save him or if he’s here to free me, but I’m fighting for a hidden long-time love.

And I’m not letting up until he’s mine.

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well, that's a shame, but let's fix it.

I'm a former firefighter and EMS guy who traded emergency calls for romance novels. These days, I write stories about bad boys, billionaires, military heroes, and the kind of men who occasionally make questionable decisions before finding their way back to what matters most. Love.

I live in Texas with my wife, our three kids, and enough animals to qualify for a small petting zoo. Life is loud, busy, and wonderfully chaotic, which is probably why I enjoy disappearing into stories where love somehow manages to win in the end.

At the heart of every book I write is the same belief: life can be hard, but a great love story reminds us that hope, healing, forgiveness, and second chances are always worth fighting for. And to put your mind at ease, I don't use any AI in my books. They're all fully flawed and done by humans. No way in hell I'd give my job to a machine when it's the reason I get up in the morning. So put that worry to bed.

Instead, grab your favorite drink, find a comfortable spot, and stay a while. The real world will still be there when you're done.

Until then, welcome to mine.

Another great story from Weston Parker! Loved the chemistry and tension between Hudson and Natalie, the fact of how long they’ve known each as long as they have makes the story that much more believable. But there’s so much more to their story that we get learn and how life events have shaped them into the characters we meet in this book.

“All For You” is a ‘Military Man Romance’ by Weston Parker. It’s a brother’s best friend story with a bit of a twist … the heroine’s best friend since childhood is a guy. This story is a complete standalone.

Natalie has been best friends with Huxley since kindergarten. Around the age of 14, she developed a crush on Hudson, his older brother – an interest that seemed to be shared by most of the girls in their high school. It became a moot point when Hudson joined the military right out of high school. Even if he hadn’t, she knew he never would’ve noticed her anyway, because ordinary, nerdy girls were definitely not his type. When he comes home two decades later after separating from the military, Natalie is well aware that he’s even more out of her league than ever. After 20 years in the Navy, most of it spent in high intensity situations as a SEAL, the adjustment to civilian life might be one of the biggest challenges Hudson has faced. It’s compounded by PTSD and the overwhelming attraction he feels towards Natalie. She has a crippling fear of the water, (even though she’s a boat designer), and some serious self-esteem issues. He has a terrible fear of hurting her or somebody else because of the violent nightmares and memories that plague him. They each want to help the other, but he’s afraid of ultimately hurting her in unforgivable ways.

Hudson and Natalie are both multi-dimensional characters struggling to move past tragedies they’ve each endured in their lives. The dialogue between the different characters in the book is consistently effective and not only moves the action forward, it also reveals much about them all. I thought the story was engaging; it held my interest from start to finish. The lead characters grow and change in wonderful ways throughout the story. The secondary characters add dimension to everything. Overall, this was an entertaining story centered on real emotion.

I Wish I Could Give This Book More Stars!

When I started reading this book, I had no idea what I was in for. It was a cute story about a girl who always had a crush on her best friend's older brother. The older brother who is now back in town after being overseas for the Navy for the past 20 years. She was his Sprite. He was her hero.

Then the story took a turn I wasn't expecting. Hudson, the Navy Seal, was having nightmares about his time in the service. They were consuming his life more and more. He couldn't sleep. But he could take a look at Natalie and realize she meant something to him.

Natalie is an amazing boat designer who can't seem to get over her fear of the water or boats ever since her father died while sailing. Hudson takes her sailing, and it seems like she's finally getting over that fear.

Hudson's nightmares get worse and worse until he finally pushes Natalie away. This is where my heart broke. They were so good together. They were happy. But his PTSD was causing so many internal problems, he forgot Natalie was suffering as well.

You will not be able to put this book down. It will leave you crying, laughing, and finally loving the love the share.

4.5 STARS

This story went on sale and I thought I'd give a new author to me a try and I was not disappointed.

I'm a female Navy Veteran and had many friends who suffered from PTSD Vietnam) and this author handled all aspects of it.

The H/h each have fears that are holding them hostage and they help each other. The H does seek out a counselor and goes to meetings and his nightmares are improving, but he still has them. The h doesn't know how to handle his nightmares when he comes close to hurting her. Their road to HEA is not smooth for sure.

A man who works for the h/H causes some problems and then nothing. It was a build up and then dropped off.

So many crude words (F) I lost count, so if this bothers you, be warned. Book 5 of the series and is a stand alone. Lovemaking, outside of marriage and heat level 5 out of 5 and described many times. I liked this couple and they weren't perfect but were honest with each other.

No cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, romantic, sweet epilogue a few months in future. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you some tidbits for you to make a decision to read this story. (ljb)

Oh how I love the brother's friend and turn to romance. It is something that can and does happen all the time.

Natalie designs boats for a living. Her best friend Huxley is not only her friend that has been in her life forever, but he is also her business partner. Everyone thinks there is more going on between them, but yuck...he is like her brother. But Natalie has not been on the water in 20 years. After her father died on the water, she has not stepped on a boat since.

Hudson on the other hand is Huxley's brother and Natalie has had a crush on him since she was a little girl. But he would never look at her that way.
Hudson is an army career man, but he is home to stay. He put in his time and now has come home.

He is trying to find where he fits in now that he is a civilian. Does he fit back in, in the town that he grew up in?
When he sees Natalie, he sees her as all women and not the little girl that was his brother's best friend.

This is a great read, find out what happens between Natalie and Hudson.

Flirting makes all the reality easier.

Hudson just got out of the Navy after twenty years, being a Captain and a Navy Seal. Natalie designs boats and sells them with her partner in business, Huxley. Hudson is Huxley’s brother. The three of them were best friends growing up. Actually, Natalie had had a crush on Hudson back then, but she was intimidated by him. Hudson, Huxley and their sister, Teresa, own the pub, after their parents died, which is the family business. Teresa runs it. Hudson and Teresa’s journey is a rocky one. This is a story about Hudson acclimating to normal life after coming out of the service, and Natalie facing a big fear that she’s had for twenty years since her father died. They help each other to achieve both things. This story is so realistic, as it hit close to home for me because my husband was in the military, too. It’s very informative and truthful. That doesn’t take away the fact that it is a love story through and through. I enjoyed it.

Hudson has just left the military after serving for twenty years but not without problems in the form of PTSD, he wants to help other vets by forming a business where they can work. Natalie, his brother's business partner has had a crush on him since she was 13, she's now waiting any longer to win his heart. They both have problems, these are the scars the military has left on his soul and hers a fear of water despite running a business where she designs boats, but maybe together they can help each other get past them.

This story does contain triggers but that said if you can get past that the story is one of both family and romantic love, of loyalty and friendship and is peopled by some wonderfully well-defined characters and the descriptive writing style really brings this story to life.

The Boat Builder and The Navy Seal

Natalie was the architect for a sailboat company and her best friend’s brother just came home. He is retired from the Navy as a Seal and Natalie always had a crush on Hudson.

Natalie may build boats, but she doesn’t sail them because she has a terrible fear of the water.

Hudson doesn’t like to talk about his issues, but he has PTSD and has terrible nightmares.

Natalie and Hudson can save each other if they aren’t too stubborn.

This was a fairly decent book that did an excellent job of dealing with the subject of war and the issues our men and women of our armed services carry home with them. I was glad that the book dealt with this in a romance instead of just another book about war, because this is the reality of their lives and of the lives of the people who interact with them. Good job Weston Parker.

The Brave Who Hurt in Private

Military life is not for the weak. It takes bravery and courage to decide to join the military. Hudson's story is so relatable. His PTSD is one that many suffer when they serve. This book brought me to tears and put me in a familiar place. As a military spouse and now military mom, I know firsthand what our men and women go through and suffer. Some silent like Hudson and others take a different route. It takes a special person to love the life of a military member. Natalie was full of love, compassion, and ready to do what it took to help Hudson get the help he needed. I loved how the story discussed the hardships those who serve deal with once they fully hang up the military life. This was one of my favorite stories.

Natalie and her best friend Huxley run a business together. Hudson, Huxleys older brother has just retired from the Navy after 20 years. He is trying to start up his own business helping other Veterans and he is doing it through Huxley and Natalies business. There is something that sparks between Natalie and Hudson, which is Natalies dreams come true being as she has had a cursh on him since they were kids. Hudson is dealing with past demons as is Natalie, can they overcome them or will he push her away doing what he thinks is best for her? You will have to read and find out! The push and pull between Hudson and Natalie pulled at my heartstrings!

I received a free copy of the Camden, Maine set steamy post-military romance novel All For You: A Military Man Romance Novel: book 1 by Weston Parker, and this review was given freely.
A childhood crush finally realized and a love with the best friend’s brother romance.
Personalities and insecurities formed by tragedy are changed and dreams are fulfilled in this ironic and emotional story where adrift and recently retired Navy SEAL Hudson Steele returns to his hometown of Camden, Maine where his brother’s best friend and business partner, the body image-conscious, water phobic, nautical engineer Natalie Sprite forces him to examine both his feelings and his future.

A wonderful friends to lovers romance that will tug at your heartstrings with page turn. Natalie and Hudson have known each other for many years and Natalie has always had a secret crush on him. Now he is back after spending 20 years in the military and joining her at the company she owns with his brother. The secret crush she had on him doesn’t mean anything when they are constantly bumping heads with each other every step of the way in business. Watching them navigate through the demons they both have, working together and finally finding their HEA was breathtaking to witness. Can't wait to see what he has coming up next.

This was a one-sitting book for me, because once I got started reading there was no way I was going to be able to put it down. My heart absolutely broke for Hudson and everything he was dealing with. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t badly want to smack some sense into his fool head for the way he was handling his issues and hurting Natalie in the process. I loved watching these characters grow, and their happy ever after ending is probably the sweetest thing I’ve read since the last Parker title on my bookshelf.

A Weston Parker hit it out of the park!! The story of Hudson, Natalie (best friend to Hux), Hux and Teresa (brother and sister of Hudson) starts as Hudson retires from the military which he joined out of High School. Difficulties abound as he acknowledges PTSD is a real thing for him. On and off again relationships with Natalie are affected by the work he has to do on his own at the beginning but Natalie has loved Hudson since she was 13. He helps her face her fears and she helps him also. They finally get their sweet HEA but the twists and turns are intriguing. Well done!

After serving twenty years and retiring from military; her business partner’s older brother is finally home to stay! Small close knit family and beachside community. He’s dealing with PTSD; she is a boat designer with fear of being in water. The struggles and fears are realistic. The strength of both to deal with struggles and try help one another means Kleenex are necessary! The helping one another through struggles draws the romantic connection.

Hudson is back in his hometown after leaving the military. He's struggling to acclimate as so many ex-military do. His brother and sister welcome him back with open arms, as does Natalie, his brother's best friend and business partner. There is a spark between Natalie and Hudson, but can they make it work? Will his demons prevent him from finding HEA? Will her fears of the water hold her back (her father drowned when she was a kid)? Lots of drama in this story as these two bring out the best in each other. An enjoyable military read.

Natalie and Huxley are business partners. She designs and builds the sailboats and he sells them. Teresa and Hux Re brother and sister and she runs the family bar since their parents passed. Their oldest brother (Hudson) is coming home from the Navy after 20 years, Natalie has always secretly had a crush on him.
That is the background in a small nutshell
Now the story goes forward. I think this may be Weston's best book yet. I loved reading this book, once I started I didn't want to put it down.

Hudson is acclimating back to life after being in the military and suffering PTSD. He has joined the business that Natalie and Huxley are operating. She has secretly had a crush but now they bump heads in the business! Seeing what he is experiencing from his time in the military has Natalie wanting to help him. Natalie has fears of her own that she needs to get a handle on. Can these two help each other overcome their fears and will it lead them to a lifetime of happiness? This story had me in their corner to finding happiness! I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

This is a brilliant emotional read.
Hudson is back in his home town after 20 years as a Seal but will he be able to settle back into civilian life.
Natalie can't believe that her business partners big brother is back in town, especially as she has had a crush on him since school but will he see her as anything more.
They are great together but when his PTSD makes him second guess a relationship will she let him go.
This is a very emotional read at times but also full of love with a brilliant ending.

ALL FOR YOU A Military Man Romance Novel #5 by Weston Parker
This is a best friend's older brother's romance and more. It is also a very enjoyable story that continues in Weston's Military Man Romance series. Natalie and Huxley own a boat sales company that uses her custom designs. Hudson is Huxley's old brother whom Natalie had a long time crush on, and now he is home after retiring after a 20 year career in the Navy as a Captain and a seal. He also has PTSD. This is a very well written solid story with great characters, lots of chemistry, some angst and drama. This is 5 stars.

I loved the heart of this story. These are two people that have known each other for a very long time, Natalie's best friend is Hudson's brother, and that bit of an old crush comes through. PTSD is a part of the story and I liked how this was handled, dealing with those things and moving forward with it. The characters have a great connection, good back and forth, and I loved the journey. This is another great read from this author.

What a book !!!

This is the very emotional and gripping story of 2 very strong people that suffer and have to deal with PTSD.
This book is a very well written, unputdownable page turning tear jerker book with unforgettable characters, who had to go through real life misunderstandings and messy feelings.

I do recommend you keep a box of kleenex close to you while reading this book ;)

Getting to know how soldiers in the military try to deal with coming back to civilian life intrigues me. The bravery these men have are unbelievable. We often hear about veterans and their struggles but I was happy to read a story about their fight to to come through on the other side. Natalie is the perfect mate for Hudson and it was a beautiful story of patience and understanding.

The support system they both had was amazing and I only wish all vets could be so lucky.

I loved this book! Wes has hit a home run with this book! I loved Natalie and Hudson and I loved the storyline with its unusual setting. I cheered for this couple. Hudson suffers from an PTSD, after 20 years as a Seal. Natalie has loved Hudson since she was a young girl. Hudson’s brother, Hux, is her best friend and business partner. This is a really great read. Don’t miss it.

Absolutely loved this story. It brings to the forefront how devastating and debilitating PTSD can be. Also how prevalent it is amongst soldiers returning from active duty. The battle remains in the memory and nightmares are never ending. While Hudson deals with PTSD, Natalie deals with her own debilitating fear of water as she runs her business designing sailboats. Certainly home this series continues with the rest of Hudson’s family and workers (Gus)

This riveting story is driven by it’s intriguing characters, a captivating plot, and underlying romance that kept me turning the pages until the very end. Huxley and Natalie are best friends and business partners. For Natalie, her life is about to drastically change as her longtime crush, Hudson, has moved back home. Hudson is an ex-navy seal, and Huxley's brother. This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Such a beautifully romantic romance. I love the way Hudson blatantly flirts with Natalie and Natalie positively loves it. They both have fears that they need to hurdle and they agree to help each other. Hudson has a sneaky way of getting Natalie to attack her fears and keeping her from being fearful. They give each other strength. What a wonderful romance. It will positively grab your heart and won’t let go. Excellent.

This book is part of the Military Man Romance Series. Hudson and Natalie's story is beautiful, and emotional. Hudson, a former Navy SEAL, is handsome, and very protective. Natalie, a boat designer, is beautiful, smart, and supportive. They are both suffering from a traumatic past. Their story is filled with angst, and drama. I liked Hudson's brother. This is a great best friend's brother romance. Looking forward for more in the series.
