The Captain: Point Loma

Rate this book
JUST A FEW YEARS EARLIER, Captain Jack Kelly was living his dream of owning and operating a charter sailboat out of Key West Florida. Then, tragedy struck and destroyed the life that he was building. He was left a broken man, trying to forget what happened, while struggling under the crushing weight of his own guilt.

NOW, he’s working as a day-charter captain in Point Loma, California, where he has built a life of routine that provides him with some degree of comfort. Suddenly, his world is turned upside down when an unwanted visitor from his past appears and dredges up everything that Jack has been trying to forget. While Jack sails under the warm sunshine in Southern California, he battles against the darkness that is haunting his mind, and a man that wants him dead.

Such a great person. I met Cam and he immediately tried to help me and offered me assistance with trying to get my Captains License. I could tell right from the start this is a man who gives to life instead of taking from it. I couldn’t stop reading this book once I got to the middle. Just finished and even if I didn’t meet him or know anything about him I would still have given this book 5 stars.

This book was a great read, I love a book with a real story that actually makes you feel like you are there with the characters. The details about sailing make this girl want to get out on an ocean and sail away into the sunset and of course I want Captain Jack to be at the helm!

amazing imagery!

What a great read. I know nothing about sailing, but this book just reaches out and grabs you. The author does a phenomenal job of explaining the sailing specifics and weaving them in to crest their own character. I’d certainly read more from this author!
