The Mintern Report
In 1935, a newly formed unit of the FBI is assigned to bust an illegal gambling operation in Detroit. Powerful gangsters are killed in the raid, changing the course of history.
Now, almost a century later, the events of that night will turn the small rural town of Dunville, Michigan, into a scene of theft, kidnapping, and murder.

The Midterm Report" by RD Coppens... great, easy read.
This book often times had me smiling and even laughing out loud. I just happen to live in Metro Detroit, so I could totally relate to the entire book, including many of the named characters.

Such a fun read! I felt like the characters were realistic and fun to get to know! The beginning of the book started off with a lot of description and build up, but by the second half of the book i felt like I was reading faster to try to solve the mystery!

Best book I’ve read in a while. I loved the historical back and forth and the characters were perfect! Jean Simmons was just hysterical. Great read—not a dull moment.

Mystery 1935 leads to mystery now.
Fast paced, well written. You won't want to put it down. One twist after another. If you like cop stories, this ones for you.

This book moves from step to a final shoot holding your interest every step of the way. No excess blood or violence but every page leads to a believable conclusion as friends help each other solve problems and erin the day.

Awesome
I loved all the Michigan cities, most of which I've visited. I could do with fewer f-bombs but overall very well written. I can't wait for the next book.

Couldn't get past the first 81 pages. I also couldn't get a feel of the characters. Seemed as though some information was missing why the main character was such a jerk and why there was such a hubbub about the coin from his point of view. It was find in someone else's property! I just couldn't get behind his angst.

I started to read the book because of the positive reviews, sadly I had to disagree.
- Rick seemed to behave towards his wife like it was his Mother
- Even though the situation was extremely dangerous the guys behaved like it was a game
Yet, the book is good if one needs to relax.
