Good series to read until the last book

Misspellings through but mostly in the last book in the series. Grammatical erroyrs in several place. The plot in the last book was not in congruence with the previous books. The same character was killed off twice in two different manners. The last book appears to be rushed into publication and not well thoughtout.

The storyline could have been good if he A.) paid for an editor and proofreader. By that I'm not talking about simple spelling or punctuation mistakes, it's so much more than that. Let's just say, wtf?
B.) The books are not finished and from what I can tell there are no plans to finish them.
In this last set of books you don't hear anything about Lyric, his dragon, Sibyle etc... You are brought into the world of another dragon blood and her dragon and the friends and allies she has made along the way. Both sets of books occasionally feel like the author was trying to rush to the end except in these last books there is no end.
At this point and time I would not recommend this author and his books. However, if you still want to read them they are easy reads, meaning they should be marketed to 5th through 7th or 8th grade youth. There is some language but it's not excessive or extremely vulgar. There is a bit of romance but it's not explicit.

I enjoyed the detail and growth of many characters although some of it was very slow and unbelievable. A lot of padding could be cut out to make the story more cohesive and sharper. And, as others have stated, this desperately needs to be edited. The grammar, misspelling, name changes and character changes made this very difficult to read. One of the potential major players, who was mentioned and feared all the way through, didn't appear until virtually the end. One of the final chapters was obviously just quick notes to be padded out and this wasn't done. The worst bit was the end, because it wasn't. I worked my way through over 23,000 pages just to find that the saga had NOT been finished. I was disappointed and annoyed. I won't be reading any other works by this author, I've wasted enough time on him.

Typing errors aside, do not call a complete boxset complete when you leave the reader hanging with a story wide open and no ending to anything. You did the same thing with the Stoneblood Series and this is beyond CRUEL. How could you do that to your readers? I am beyond angry. Right in the middle of the story in both series you just stop. What is that, what could be your reasoning behind that decision? Unless you like a series that has no end and leaves you hanging don't even start this series or Stone Blood as each series leaves you really mad that nothing was finished. These series are anything but complete. :(

Great dialogue.

The box set in the whole is great...
The annoying thing about it is, there are words added or missing in the conversations!
ie :- he brought his sword down , he either put he brought sword down or he brought will his sword down.
It can be very confusing especially when words are missing.
The conversational dialogue is amazing, easy to follow as long as words are not added or missing.
The premise of the story is well written and thought out.
I would have liked to give it 5 🌟

Choppy editing

Lyrics Curse was pretty good. Kept me interested through the whole book. Siseras Gift was one of the worst editing jobs I'd ever seen. The choppy sentences and gaps, missing words, bad spacing between breaks in the story. All managed to keep throwing me out of the story, trying to figure out what was being said. Actually closed the book on Sisera. No joy in the reading.

The story is good - if incomplete. The editing is horrendous! There are too many places made awkward by poor editing. If you get past that though, the characters are interesting. The story is good. The world is a bit confusing without any maps but it is still distinctive on its own. I say incomplete because these stories overlap but leave the tale unfinished. I'd enjoy reading more to find the end of the story.

Robyn Wideman left me hanging!!

I don't know if there are sequels planned or not, but when I read an epic as exciting as this was, I expect full closure.

That didn't happen here, so a work thst could have been rated 5,onky gets 3 from me.

It doesn't matter how great the characters are, how tense the plot, or how good the language.

If you finish reading the saga and still have unanswered questions and unresolved issues, the result is a frustrated and disappointed reader.

Not a complete boxes set!!

The story itself is good, however the grammar is bad. The are lots of missing word of misspellings. BUT the worst is that this is not a complete boxes set, so leaves you 6 books in with no conclusion, you are nowhere near the end of the story, very disappointing to say the least!!!!!

Disappointed and confused

I gave this series 3 stars based on the first four books. The storyline and characters were interesting and well developed. However, the series seemed to be written by someone completely different by book four. Poor editing, choppy battle scenes, and even incorrect name usage was confusing and annoying. The shifting of vantage points only added to the confusion of the storytelling. The title of Complete Box set is misleading. There is nothing complete about this set. The fractured storyline ends with characters introduced for no reason and the Epilogue just amplified that the story isn't complete. Edit the final book and rename the set. It would definitely make a difference for future books in the series.

The story is OK but Wideman is in dire need of a proof reader/editor. The fundamental errors in grammar, typos including mistaken use of words, character name errors are jarring. There are also missing words and extra words, sometimes they are so bad that you have to reread to work out what is meant.
There are noun to verb case errors and the classic to/too and they’re/ their mistakes through out.
Some are quite funny - contraception instead of contraption but the overall impression is of books churned out at speed with very little care.
In addition the timeline gets choppy and the final book in the set is not a finale.
The whole set could have been so much better.

The story is sort of Interesting, but I have to take a break from the sheer illiteracy of it. I made it to 25%. This writer clearly has no clue about punctuation.
The whole book is rife with comma splices and run-on sentences, as well as a constant changing of tenses within the same sentences. I try to excuse at least some of the issues as typos, but that is what an editor is for. Obviously, there was not one.
Robyn, if you actually read these, do yourself a favor: read a book called, " Eats, Shoots and Leaves." You can get it from Amazon for eight bucks. Study verb tenses and proper use of quotation marks as well.
As an English-turned-Education major, I found this a tortuous read.

Good Story Line - BUT

Robyn please get hold of a big stick and go see whoever proofread the books so far - then beat them severely.
There are so many grammatical errors in the text I lost count as well as losing the plot. The hero’s name is Kai not KIA. A warrior rushing into battle “Weald’s his axe” not “Yield’s his axe”. Words are inexplicably inserted into the text to render the meaning very confused. Words also disappear with the same result.
There are so many more examples I lost count. It has taken me almost two weeks of normal reading to get this far where normally it would take me 4 days. I hope the rest of the books in the collection have been edited correctly.

The story was very interesting and kept me reading. But the grammar started getting terrible and at times became very difficult to read with missing words, poor spelling and terrible punctuation. The story line would stop and start again at a different junction.
It was like no editor reviewed this saga, especially the last couple of books. I read the whole collection and it just abruptly ends with no indication that Wideman is going to continue it.
Although the storyline was compelling it was very amateurish. I would be interested, possibly, to see the story continue if the writing improves. But unless my research is wrong, I could not find any indication there are plans to finish it.

Good read but the ending leaves you hanging

I liked the books but this says it's supposed to be the complete boxset but the ending is a cliffhanger! What happens to Kai, Isabella, Sisera & Raven. Does the Dragon war start? Too many questions hanging on the ending. As far as the read goes, the proof readers missed many words that were out of place or had the wrong name who was talking. I hope the writer can write another book or 2 letting us know how the story ends. I was looking forward to see how the writer was going to tie things up but it just leaves you hanging. Please continue this series with an ending.

incomplete and out of sync

To list this as a complete series is not right. Two sets of three books which run parallel in their timeline. Also don’t kill off a main character in the last book of first set then resurrect them just after in another set. The grammar and spelling mistakes makes me think there was no proof read done before these were published, and even listing a character as “secondname” in the first chapter then later by their real name, tells me that the editor didn’t do anything more than a cursory glance at these books.

These are fun

But one issue bothers me. I don't like the emphasis on portraying women as useless and below value. You call them it. Their only value is in bed and even then they are only to be used historically this is incorrect. Women in history were valued at a higher level. They in truth were highly valued hunters and warriors in truth. What you are doing is teaching your young readers to think only men have value. Misogynistic mind set women are stupid are only good for sex. Have some respect and quit trying to propagate the next generation of unhappy assholes.

Almost a Good Book

What started out as an interesting and entertaining series quickly became a confusing read. Characters' names were getting confused and changed willy-nilly throughout. Grammar, punctuation, spelling, possession and plurality ran unchecked and it's obvious that proof reading is a thing of the past. It felt as if several authors were at work here. The ending left much to be desired. Very disappointing.

A bit of this a bit of that

I really enjoyed reading these books. That was until I came to an end that wasn't an end. There were so many unanswered questions. Around the characters' development. Also, it seemed to have an end in the first book but was left with lots of loss ends with the other books that paralleled the first book? With lots of unanswered questions. I finished reading them, feeling incredibly baffled and frustrated. Unable to tie it all together.

Good story, really bad writing.

I really enjoyed the story in these books, but there were so many mistakes in it that it was a struggle to get through at times. Spelling, grammar, punctuation, and missing words throughout the series. I really hope that this was a case of a poor digital transfer as opposed to the writing ability of the author but, as this is the first I've read of this authors work, I can't say for sure.

Fun stories but poor edit

I really enjoyed the world the author created and the complex characters. When I got to Isabella's books I was surprised by the incredible numbers of grammar errors, incorrect word usage, missing words as well as extra words. The editing was terrible .Sometimes one page had 3 errors. Very distracting for the reader. I gave 5 stars for the imagination of the books but would give a 0 for the editing. Please do a copy edit.

Magical World

This story keeps you on your toes. It has dragons, mages, mystical creatures and a princess with dragon scales. The story has well developed characters and a great story follows them. I can't wait to see the new power from Kai Woods and the golden girl with her dragon.

Dragonflies Saga

Well this was an interesting series. First a very annoying but is all the typos, missing words and lack of proof reading. The story line was very interesting and underdevelopment was good. Lack of cohesiveness was troubling at times and many parsley me dangling! I have it five stars because the story keep me reading until the end.

Dragonblood

It's a great storyline, can't wait for the next installment, having said that I really think you should get a new proof reader as there were many mistakes in spelling and word order. Luckily I'm very detail oriented and was able to keep reading despite the mistakes. I really can't wait to see what happens next to each of the stories characters.

ok

I was so confused. There are people/dragons that very clearly died during Lyrics part of the book that were alive in Isabella’s part of the book. Didn’t make any sense. I personally was over Tareks journey in this book. It went on forever. I’ll keep reading and hopefully get more information

A good start

Well, the first few books of thos series was promising. The story about Lyric was well told. The second set? Needed a lot of work. It was a good story, but really left off with no conclusion at all. Grammatical errors I can over look, but one chapter read like an online ro session.

Would be more than happy to read the rest of this if it is ever written.

Good story irritating faults

It seems to be a trend in the editing of books recently, that words are left out or in the wrong order but worse still in this saga a friend is seen dead on the battle field then 2 pages later he is alive. With attention to these important details, I would have given 5 stars

Good first time fantasy tale, especially for young adults.

I had to take marks off for the really poor editing & grammar. There are mistakes on literally every page! Missing or misspelled words, names mixed up etc.
The story becomes more interesting & involved once you start the "sagas".

Fantastic series, but needs proof reading

Loved the characters and the exciting plot. It is a complex, rich story I loved.
The last book seems to be an unedited, early version with so many wrong words and sentences that seem to not make sense. It needs to be looked at and corrected.
