Danielle Allen knows how to write a steamy fun time and that's exactly what this book was! From the moment Hassan met the heroine, their chemistry was explosive. I loved how they had such a connection, but then Hassan realized she was actually off limits. Their time together was so fun and I liked how Hassan was trying to be a good friend while also trying to still get what he wanted. The heroine was fun and I appreciated how adamant she was that she got to choose who she wanted to be with, not the men in her life. If you want a romance with lots of heat and a bit of a forbidden aspect, definitely pick this book up!

The Chemistry Was Real

The chemistry between Hassan & Tiana was real….you could feel their energy from the time the two of them met at the bar. I hated the division in the brotherhood and the fact that something had to happen for cooler heads to prevail. But, whatever it takes to make the brotherhood rekindle. Although, Hassan & Tiana’s relationship was actually growing strong throughout it all. They were each other’s comfort and support.

What Hassan Wants was surprisingly a good read for me. I liked the beginning. I was clutching my eyes because I didn’t see that coming. It was clear that Chef saw something in Hassan that she wanted. A woman who knows what she wanted- I respect it. I honestly wished Hassan or Chef had told Vic that they had met earlier in the night but then what would the storyline be, lol. So I totally understand why that conversation did not happen. I loved the chemistry between Hassan and Chef- it was sweet and they were sexually in sync. I liked the flow of the story. I am glad Vic came to his senses, he was in love by himself. This was a good read.

Bae before boys

The best thing about this was Hassan. Everything he said and did triggers a. He may have fumbled in beginning but my guy made it for it big time. We love a mmc who can walk it like he talk it.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️

Tropes: strangers to lovers, hookup

TW/CW: 18+, car accident, fighting

Representation: black romance, plus size representation, black female chef

Thoughts: so I’ll be honest Hassan was pissing me TF off durning this book. We rarely see a book where the man has to make a choice between two important people in his life. And if we do he normally takes the easier route. So my irritation was the fact that this man was so logical that he didn’t just make a rash decision. And I feel like we don’t see that enough when it comes to men in these books! And for that he’s a king! Also his love for tiana and his car for her was so beautiful to read. And her love for him was so beautiful! I really liked these two together and I loved how tiana pushed this man to make a decision cuz she wasn’t about to wait around for him! Ugh this book was so good and taught me a great lesson. And yes these two was nasty in the best way 😂

Hasaan😍

This book was so sensual. Hasaan and Tiana had chemistry that was palpable. Their instant attraction and connection was literally the stuff of romance novels.
I had a hard time coming to grips with the mis steps Hasaan took in regards to his friendship with Vic. But he really is a good decent stand up man that just got in over his head. Vic was Team Too Much just about the entire book but I still really enjoyed his character.
Overall, this was a great book. I really enjoyed it.

< Hassan can get it!

Tiana... I liked her boldness and 'I go for what I want persona.' From the start of this story, I knew she would add spice and fun to her character portrayal. She nailed it... Hassan was sweet, not wanting to rock the boat. He was new to the city and had only a handful of friends. Little did he know, a feisty friend would capsize the boat. For some reason, Hassan's friend Vic irked me with all the talking. He never listened. And his friend Chef was caught in the middle of Vic's imagination. Overall, I adored this story.

always hits

just like any other book i read by this author, i finished this in one sitting and i was IN LOVE. it was interesting to see how this was going to play out between hassan picking between his friend and the woman he automatically clicked with.

tiana was a real one and i loved her strength and how she handled things. she was really like “make a decision, step up or step back because you’re holding up the queue.” as she should. vic was too much foreal & at some points hassan had me like COME ON.

but he came through. i love danielle and in true danielle fashion she brought the HEAT with this one. especially that bathroom stall scene in the beginning😮‍💨 she never misses

Imagine meeting the woman of your dreams. The chemistry is thick, communication flows, the sex is amazing, but you find out that she is off limits. Bummer right? Danielle Allen shook things up by giving us a MMC who has to choose between his friend and love interest and baby, my emotions were everywhere. Hassan stressed me out, but I can admit I admire the way he patiently made his decision. He gets points for logic and the way he cherished Tiana. The man really has it bad. The real MVP in this book is Tiana. I love her daring and determined personality. The way she demands that Hassan put up or step away had me saying “Yes, Sis!”. She wasn’t trying to wait around looking goofy. I felt this book had a perfect mixture of romance, angst, sex and secondary characters that kept me intrigued and entertained. Speaking of secondary characters, Vic got on my damn nerves and unfortunately, he didn’t get a chance to redeem himself in MY eyes. My only drawback of this book is not getting a conversation between Tiana and Vic. I do respect that she allowed Hassan to handle his shit like a man, however, I still felt that she should’ve had a “where these feelings come from?” conversation with Vic. Overall, Danielle Allen did her thing and I highly recommend it.

Hassan can have whatever he want!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It’s so damn entertaining and so damn sexy . Hassan and Tiana love story posses a roadblock , as far as Hassan is concerned, but the way they feel about each other won’t let that roadblock keep them away from each other. Captivating, funny, and well written, What Hassan Santa will not leave you feeling that the story lacked anything but maybe a few more pages!

I loved the instant vibe and attraction Tiana and Hassan experienced when they met. Hassan and Vic was on my nerves. I can't believe Hassan really felt like he was in a delimma. I enjoyed the development of Tiana and Hassan and the drama with Vic. Nice read.

Great story.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved the instant connection between Hassan and Tiana. The chemistry was super steamy. I’m glad they didn’t let Vic’s unrequited crush on Tiana keep them apart.

This was such a cute read. Ms. Allen definitely made me go through a lot of emotions while reading this “😊🥹🥵😐🫠🤨🫣🥲😊😊😊” 😂😂 could care less for Victor but Hassan & Tiana were so adorable - glad Hassan didn’t let his friend get in the way of his happy ever after but he should have told him sooner to avoid the drama. But all in all I really really enjoyed this book & highly recommended it if you need something sweet, spicy 🌶, a bit nerve wrecking, but ultimately cute quick read

TW: Car accident

This book wasn't what I expected. Now, I'm not sure what I did expect but it wasn't that LOL.

I loved that this book was entirely from Hassan's POV. Something I've always wanted when reading Ms. Allen's books because they are usually solely through the FMC POV and I'm left wondering how the man actually felt internally.

Well, with this book there was no guessing. I liked being inside Hassan's head. He was SO SPRUNG off of Tiana from the beginning lol it was so cute. Their banter, chemistry and relationship was cute. There was not a lot they had to overcome internally as a couple. They just liked each other and wanted to ~dance~ every time they laid eyes on each other lol

The only thorn in my side was Vic. I truly didn't understand why Hassan tried so hard to be a good friend to him when Vic was just...meh. Lol like I get the bro code but in this case, nah. Both Tiana and Hassan were wayyyy too nice when it came to Vic, but I guess to each their own lol.

If you want to read about a curvy beauty with an afro getting loved on, spoiled and shown off by her man, this is your book <3

I just want to use this space to complain about Vick's dumb childish selfish behind bc how the H was Tiana the love of his life and he never made his feelings known, never made a move, was silly about the approach and HAD A WOMAN IN HIS BED THAT WAS ALL ABOUT HIM?? Got the nerve to be mad cause somebody had what he wanted.

I CANNOT. I can't with these fictional men! 😂

He FOR SURE didn't deserve any of the grace afforded to him by Tiana OR Hassan. Bruh was definitely a brat.

I used this whole space to talk about a minor character because he made me mad, messin the game up for Hassan and Tiana. Good thing love conquers all or whatever and both of them were mature enough to choose love over Vick's temper tantrum.

Danielle already know she can write her tail off and now y'all know it too!

This is my first Danielle Allen read. I follow her on social and have seen reviews for her books. So this is simply an unpopular opinion, but I found this to be boring🫤.

I’m certain some of that comes from having just read a REALLY REALLY good story that captured my attention from page 1. Whereas, the writing here was good, the storyline could’ve been resolved in the first few chapters. So everything that followed was meh for me… I think the characters lost their shine to me- with the handling of Vic.

I understood Hassan feeling a little off initially, but the fumble he made and kept making was unattractive.

Either way I’m looking forward to reading more of her work.

So 2 stars for the storyline. 3 stars because the story telling was good. I just didn’t love the story. Make sense?

This is exactly what I needed from Ms. Allen after "Business Casual." Although Hassan and Tiana were a bit reckless in their initial meeting, I loved the way the rest of their relationship progressed. Hassan was such a gentleman and it was really sweet the way he remembered Tiana's favorite things. By her reactions, however, I felt like there was some back story as to why these things surprised her. But when a man knows what he wants, he'll do anything to get it and keep it.

Although Vic was dead wrong coming for Hassan, I understand that he felt like Hassan broke the bro code. Still, he couldn't have been all that surprised - Chef clearly didn't pay him any mind in the six years they knew each other, so it should have been telling that she and Hassan clicked as fast as they did.

This was a fast, sweet (but still a little spicy) story. Although Hassan's name is in the title, I almost expected to get Tiana's perspective as well. But I think it actually worked well with just Hassan's point of view.

I'm not sure if this is the first time Danielle Allen has written a whole book from the male's POV but I really enjoyed this novella.

It was the right amount of sexy, funny and she definitely brought the drama. Everytime I read a book of hers the MC becomes my book boyfriend lol Hassan is a fine black brother who randomly meets Tiana a fine sexy sista and that first encounter was 🥵 only to find out she was friends with his only friend in the new city he moved to and let's just say shit got very real after that.

Tiana was feisty and was a woman who knew what she wanted that was definitely Hassan. The attraction, chemistry and overall vibe between these two was everything. I am glad that the drama that ensued never affected their relationship. Yes it affected other relationships but theirs remain solid and that was a good look to me.

If you want a nice spicy read with humour and some drama then this is your book.

Get out your head boo

Okay I have so many things to say about this book but let's get off track for a minute. Pause on Hassan and Tiana and let's talk about how Vic was a ..... a.. n..... Yeah IYKYK. I got so mad at the childishness of his actions but Tariq was the realist of them all. Green and Tommy too because they used common sense.

Now on to how I wanted to pop him upside the head because he took the bro code too far. Man, NEVER and I mean NEVER short change yourself or your happiness for anyone. Kudos to Tiana because she held nothing back and was raw in her delivery on all accounts.

The banter with Tariq was golden because I laughed so hard. However nothing beats the laugh on the way home from brunch with the girls.

Hassan and Tiana

This story took you through some things. I started with the instant chemistry between Tiana and Hassan, before he knew how Vic felt about her. I believe that honesty from the beginning of a situation will cause less drama down road. So, I believe Hassan should have said something soon as Vic arrived late at the restaurant that day. Secondly, I feel like Vic should have been upfront with Tiana about his feelings from the jump. I glad that it work out for friendship between Vic and Hassan because they were like brothers for real. I love Hassan and Tiana relationship.

Hassan!!

Another great read from Ms.Allen. The way the book started set the tone for the chemistry between Hassan and Tiana which was epic! Tiana knew exactly what she wanted and was unafraid to let it be known. Hassan was apprehensive because of his friendship with Vic but his situation with Tiana occurred before he knew Vic had a thing for her that was not at all reciprocated. He was like a brother and that was it, that's ALL. Once Hassan decided to go for what he wanted I was ALL IN. Vic made me want to choose violence, but his bad for assuming that he had something more with Chef. Overall, this book was a solid 4.25⭐ and 3.5🌶

Hassan x Tiana

Now this book was on some grown GROWN type of time. I loved the chemistry between Hassan & Tiana. Tiana saw Hassan and she wanted him BADDDDDD. I loved how she stood on who she was & gave no freaks about what anyone had to say. I was really upset about how Hassan was going to lose out on his happiness due to his friend, but when everything played out I was disappointed in Vic. All in all, it was deff Hassan fault because he shouldn't have opened his mouth. Instead he let his friend try to make him play match maker. I really thought that he wouldn't show his ass, but he did ! & I was boggled how he turned on Hassan but still tried to be cool with Tiana, like sir READ THE ROOM. Not you thought Tiana was going to leave her man, for a friend 🤔 I did find the Helen of Troy jokes hilarious AF.

I would love an update on Hassan & Tiana ❤️❤️❤️

What Hassan Wants

I loved this book from beginning to end. The chemistry and connection between Hassan and Tiana was felt from the beginning. They were so cute together and had a connection as friends and not just as lovers. From their initial interaction they had each other even when trying to fight the feeling. I enjoyed the sub characters as well and the jokes among them. I’m glad that Vic came to his senses and saw what was right in front of him. I can’t wait to see what comes next from this author.

Grown, and Oh So Sexy

This novel is for the ladies who read while drinking wine and listening to RNB music (Playlist Included)! A positive adaptation of black love with minor outside drama sprinkled in. The author is really great at conveying the characters emotions. Upon their initial and subsequent interactions. Inviting the reader to stroll down memory lane themselves. Recalling those same butterflies and feelings of a new courtship! A nice change from the usual books that I read. Impressive❤️ Plus I love the name “Hassan”

Chocolate Covered Forbidden Fruit

The universe needs to give Hassan whatever he wants because he’s been such a good boy. I love the way he catered to Tiana. He was so loving and attentive. Then he turned into an absolute beast as needed in the sexiest way possible. He made this such an enjoyable read for me. Their instant chemistry was perfect. Tiana was so sure of herself. It was great to see her be so firm about what she wanted. She was such a lovable leading lady. Danielle Allen is such an amazing author. I can’t get enough of her work!

ok then…

Well this book did what it was suppose to do for me. Was a good read! Minimal drama and for once there was no other woman drama. I understood Hassan’s concerns regarding Vic finding out. However, I didn’t really see why Vic was so mad. He was stagnant. If he really wanted Tiana what was he waiting on? He was still sleeping with Laila and not really prioritizing Tiana. How you have a sexy ass man like Hassan and a woman like Tiana and you push her off on him multiple times? What did he think would happen?
