Fearless Enough is a spin-off novel from New York Times bestselling author Kelly Elliott’s Meet Me in Montana series. Readers will head back to Hamilton, Montana, for a family reunion like no other!
Blayze Shaw could sum up his life in one word, fulfilling. He grew up in the shadow of his famous father, Brock Shaw, a multi-year PBR champion, but chose not to follow in his dad's footsteps. Instead, choosing to work on the family’s cattle ranch in Hamilton, Montana. Everything in his life was exactly how he wanted it, and he was the happiest he'd ever been.
When a woman from his past resurfaces and is given the task of diving deep into his world for the answers he isn’t willing to share, Blayze’s perfect world is thrown into a tailspin. He wants to dislike her, but the more time they spend together bickering back and forth, the harder it is to fight his feelings.
Georgiana Crenshaw is chasing a career as a sports reporter and has something to prove to the top dogs at the network where she works. She hasn’t made it this far simply because of who her father is. Georgiana has succeeded solely due to hard work and determination. She dives in when given a chance to show she has what it takes to get the promotion she desperately wants. Told it will be the interview of a lifetime, Georgiana shows up at the airport with a go-get-'em attitude. Only when her father tells her who she'll be interviewing does she have a moment of doubt.
But honestly, how hard could it be to interview an arrogant, self-centered, obnoxious, too handsome for his own good flirt, who gave Georgiana her first kiss behind the barn on his father's ranch?

Blayze Shaw is the son of a career PBE champion. He chose not to pursue that path for reasons he's not sharing. Instead, he's content to run his family's ranch.
Georgiana "Georgie" Crenshaw hasn't been to the Shaw ranch since she was 16. Now she's back to interview the Shaw family for a sports magazine, even though her heart is in fashion, having written for Vogue.
Georgie is basically the one that got away. Things happened, feelings were hurt, and she left and never came back. Their history is complicated, but the heat is undeniable. No matter how much they try to fight it.
The charters are likable, and their journey is very believable. Nothing far fetched here, and their honesty is admirable. Blayze is very swoon-worthy, and Georgia is someone you can't help but want to be besties with.
"What was it about Blayze in full-on cowboy mode that made my heart swoon and my head go fuzzy? It reminded me of the younger boy I fell for."
What You'll Find: -- Smalltown Romance -- Next Generation Spinoff -- Second Chance -- Dual POV
When they were teens Blayze and Georgiana were caught fooling around. Things were said. And from there everything changed. Years later they're brought back together. But can they move beyond what happened in the past?
I'm going to keep this review short, because I unfortunately have mixed feelings. There were so many great moments. The author is a great story teller, and I really enjoyed her Meet Me In Montana series. Especially Never Enough, where we meet Blayze. So I was excited going into this... but I just didn't feel it like I hoped. And by 'it' I mean their connection. I didn't love how their story unfolded. It felt a bit young. Perhaps this is purely a 'wrong time' scenario... *Hi, it's me. I'm the problem. It's me*... But I do think it sets the series up quite well and I look forward to the rest of the stories!
*I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Kelly Elliott's become one of my favourite writers. Every single time I read her books, I love them more and more.
This one in particular is a small-town second chance love story. Blayze and Georgiana had a little fling years ago. They were young and Georgie's behaviour resulted in Blayze hurting her with his actions. This time around she is back for writing an article about Blayze and his family. Well you can guess that after that everything is going quite fast. Sadly none of them is trusting the other. At one point Georgie is starting to fall in love with him again, but he is still the one that's afraid.
The passion, the sparks, the heat is really strong between them and at one point they let go and lose themselves in each other.
Still, this is a romance book, and the two MC's are ending up together. I still think that Blayze should have crawled a bit more than that. It wasn't really enough and Georgiana deserved it.
***I received an advanced reader copy of this book from Grey's Promotion and this is my voluntary review.***
Sometimes I’m reading - or listening as the case may be - to a book and one word will repeat in my head throughout the book. This time, the word was contrived.
Warning…minor spoilers ahead.
If there’s a secret one character keeps from the other, you KNOW it’s gonna bite them in the butt at some point. And when it does, you KNOW the offended party is gonna get angry, lash out and say hurtful things, and a third-act breakup is going to ensue. I knew all this from about three chapters in.
Then we have the repetition of all the women who want the hero, and all the scenes run down the exact same way, as if the author needed to add more pages to the book but couldn’t come up with anything new so she just nailed down the point that every woman in the hero’s home town wants him.
Even with all that, the book was riding a solid three stars for me until the very end when the hero acts like an ass, admits to himself he behaved like as ass, but then the heroine is the one who decides she needs to “fight for” the hero. Aw, hell naw.
I’m not sure this author is for me. I’m going to give her one more try, but I suspect I won’t find the next book in this series to be any more to my liking.
(Read the Meet Me In Montana series by this author first before starting this series to fully enjoy all these characters. Start with "Never Enough" book one in the series)
He is a former bull rider that now lives a busy, but quiet life managing his father's ranch. She is a writer trying to get her foot in the door with fashion as well as sports. They used to spend time together as teens until one day they got caught behind the barn. Hurtful things were said that led to unfortunate choices. Now a decade later they see each other again and the attraction is still there.
Blayze Shaw grew up on his father's ranch with his incredible family. For a while in his early twenties Blayze even followed his father's footsteps by competing in bull riding. For personal reasons, Blayze decided to step away from it all of that to take his place in managing his father's ranch. At age 27, he loves his life and his family. A girl, now a woman, from his past is visiting with the task of writing an article about his father and uncles. Seeing her again has him putting up walls he had already spent years building, especially since she was the reason he started building them in the first place.
Georgiana Crenshaw fled the Shaw ranch at age sixteen vowing never to visit again. But her latest writing assignment has her returning to Montana and the memories she made there almost a decade ago. When she sees her former friend and first kiss, Blayze, she can't help but remember everything that happened between them. Somehow she ends up being picked up from the hotel by Blayze, but the only place available for her to stay is in his gorgeous custom built home. After the shocking reunion, Georgiana is even more upset to learn why she was chosen to write this article. Blayze wants nothing to do with her or her assignment and she doesn't really blame him once she learns why.
During Georgiana's visit, Blayze finds himself wanting to be around her. He carries regret over their past but slowly acknowledges she is the only girl he has ever wanted. His reluctance with other women throwing themselves at him, and his disgust of being used by a previous fiancee, all make sense that he was waiting for her. Georgiana finds herself falling in love with Montana all over again and Blayze is a huge part of that. As they fight to move past their secrets and regrets, the two realize they need each other.
Dual POV, second chance romance, forced proximity, open door romance.
Blayze, the precocious little boy from the previous series, is all grown up! He turned into a pretty amazing guy who loves his life and his huge family. It's fun to read all the new characters with the old ones in this time jump series. I am so thankful this story didn't read like a Young Adult story. Blayze is very much a responsible adult and mature character. While some details of this story are pretty insane with teenage poor decision making and Blayze being a victim of manipulative enemies, it was fun reading these two falling for each other. The 3rd act breakup was a little dramatic but the court will allow it. Great HEA. Epilogue is a set up for the next book in the series.
We are returning to Montana, Shaw Ranch, and the Shaw family, second generation this time. Blayze has grown up, but still the sweet-talking flirt I remember. He is older, has some baggage now, and in charge of the ranch.
Georgiana spent time in her youth at Shaw Ranch but is a journalist now. She is charged with writing a “where are they now” about Blayze’s father and uncles. Can time heal the wounds? As details unfold about what happened in their past, will a new relationship form? Trust is fragile, and his ex is determined. Will they get a second chance?
Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
As soon as I read Never Enough, I started hoping that Blayze - the cute little, scene-stealing son of Brock Shaw, the MMC - would get his own book someday! Well, sometimes wishes come true, friends! Fearless Enough is the first book of a next-gen series spun off from the Meet Me in Montana series. If you haven’t read it - do it! It’s one of my favorite small-town series! What’s better than small-town romance? Small town, second chance romance! Blayze and Georgie have some history from when they were teenagers in high school. When she comes to the ranch as a reporter to interview the family for a magazine article, lines start to get a little blurred. Blayze and Georgie have great chemistry that begins immediately. They both clearly still have feelings for the other but they also both have some baggage now and the walls are slow to come down. What to expect: 🐎 Shaw family cameos! ✍🏻 Small town, second chance 🐎 An independent, sassy FMC ✍🏻 Swoony cowboy moments 🐎 🔥🔥🔥/5 And that epilogue! 😮 I can’t wait for Morgan’s story! Thank you to the author and Greys Promo for an eARC of this book! All opinions are my own.
This small town second chance love story gave me all the feels. Blayze and Georgiana’s journey was complicated and riddled with secrets and misunderstandings, but I loved their dedication to family and doing the right thing. Timing is everything and I enjoyed watching them fight their fate. A great start to this new series.
I will scream it from the rooftops if you’ve never read a Kelly Elliott book - it SHOULD ALWAYS BE AN AUTOMATIC YES!!!!! I feel honoured to be given the chance to read before release date and nothing is better than this book during an ice storm with minimal power. I devoured it. Second chance Romance are one of my favourites, books based in Montana, number 1, back to the Shaw family, hello, sign me up. Kelly takes us back to the second generation of bull riders and I loved it- and then that epilogue? Give me Morgan’s story now!!!!!!! You will not be disappointed with Fearless Enough- you will want more. Excellent story and a HEA that leaves you happy! Start this series now!
Fearless Enough is the perfect story of second chances and all the LOVE! This is a spin off from Meet Me in Montana series!
Blayze and Georgie are the sweetest and I loved their story so much. I know Blayze would be amazing since his father's book. He was too cute then and now he is a man... You will swoon and adore him as much as ever in this book. Georgie is so sweet and I love her! She is the perfect match for Blayze.. They have great chemistry and some steamy moments that will make you blush.
I am so excited about this new series and I can't wait to see what happens next with the second generation!
'Fearless Enough feels like coming home to your favourite comfort read/series. We're back in a Blayze of glory!' - The British Bibliophile
Thank you to Kelly Elliott for sending me an ebook Advanced Readers Copy of this book for me to read and leave an honest review, as part of being on her ARC team.
Yeehaw! Folks, we're back in Montana with Ms Kelly Elliott at the wheel. Welcome back to a follow-up series to one that not only became a favourite for myself personally, but to dozens of Kelly's readers as well. The original series, Meet Me in Montana gave us all we know and love about our cowboy-creating Kelly and then some. If you've read that series, you'll know exactly what I'm on about. It garnered so much interest from readers, it became an unputdownable four-book series that was truly one of the most beloved that she's ever created, that was also one of the hardest to say goodbye to.
Little did we know back then...it wouldn't be goodbye at all. Hello Love in Montana series!
Fearless Enough is the first novel in the sequel/follow-up series to Meet Me in Montana ,continuing on similarly to ‘ All They Wanted’ from Kelly's 'Wanted' series, with the next generation of heart-stopping cowboys and their fierce, sharp-tongued and tough-as-all-get-out girls. I, for one, leapt up and waved my non-existent cowboy hat in the air the day Kelly announced that this sequel series would be happening, and with none other than Blayze Shaw--Brock Shaw & Lincoln Shaw's son (nee Pratt)--up in the saddle. What a lucky saddle!
Believe me when I tell you all this... I'm someone who does their best in keeping things spoiler-free when it comes to writing my reviews, because I'm not about ruining something for someone who hasn't read the book yet. This book came awfully close to me spilling all the good stuff to y'all because, folks, there's plenty of goings on within these pages that is testing my resilience to tell you all about it. I'd never cross that line no matter how good the book, but damn Kelly, you've got me here wishing I could scream it to the world about just how much I love this book and the story within.
What I can and will do, is go through the blurb with y'all. Starting with this:
'Blayze Shaw could sum up his life in one word, fulfilling. He grew up in the shadow of his famous father, Brock Shaw, a multi-year PBR champion, but chose not to follow in his dad's footsteps. Instead, choosing to work on the family’s cattle ranch in Hamilton, Montana. Everything in his life was exactly how he wanted it, and he was the happiest he'd ever been.'
Brock Shaw quickly became one of my favourite men that Kelly has ever created. Imagine then how his offspring, Blayze, would be if he was anything like his father? Little Blayze was a charmer & heart-breaker in the making--both to the fictional ladies within the pages & the non-fictional ones reading about him--, who would either follow a path already made for him walked by his own father, or create one of his own. In this case, it's the latter. Will what happens on the ranch, stay on the ranch? There's only one way to find out.
'When a woman from his past resurfaces and is given the task of diving deep into his world for the answers he isn’t willing to share, Blayze’s perfect world is thrown into a tailspin. He wants to dislike her, but the more time they spend together bickering back and forth, the harder it is to fight his feelings.'
Yes, yes, yes for the 'second chance' romance trope! Kelly writes stories with this trope in them SO well, I just knew I was going to love this story & however she was going to spin the second chance angle with Blayze & his girl. After all, his father & Lincoln's trope was 'Strangers-to-Lovers', so it's a refreshingly different take right off the bat. Plus, we all know that our book men WILL fail to fight against their feelings, as it's only a matter of time and the fall is always SO sweet & satisfying!
'Georgiana Crenshaw is chasing a career as a sports reporter and has something to prove to the top dogs at the network where she works. Only when her father tells her who she'll be interviewing does she have a moment of doubt.'
Here she is, ladies & gentlemen, Blayze's leading lady & second-chance. Georgiana Crenshaw. When I first read the blurb and noted her job, I immediately thought back to one of Kelly's previous books. Namely, The Playbook & Aubrey Cain. This could be a coincidence that the two's scenarios & jobs are similar, but it could also be a nod to that past book. Either way, Kelly crafted a truly unique character in Georgiana. You'll find that out for yourself when you get to meet her. She's as much Blayze's equal as she is the other half of him, and that's what I love most about her. Even in the most unlikely and unexpected of circumstances (hello forced proximity trope, lovely to have you here too!), there's a silver lining to be had & she'll take the reins with both hands to get it.
'But honestly, how hard could it be to interview an arrogant, self-centered, obnoxious, too handsome for his own good flirt, who gave Georgiana her first kiss behind the barn on his father's ranch?'
As time has gone on, it seems like it's changed some of what we knew about little Blayze Shaw. The boy has become the man, and with it all the pitfalls and lessons with it. Georgiana will soon learn just how difficult Blayze can be on the way to obtaining her goal and soul mission for being back in Montana--the last place she wanted to be--. As for the kiss behind the barn? Well, history does have a habit of repeating itself so...will that happen for these two who despite their rocky beginning end up sharing the same saddle? I know the answer to that, now it's your turn to find out.
Although we're only on book one I can tell y'all right from the start as was the case with the Meet Me in Montana series, this is going to be one to watch and re-read till you know it off by heart before you've even picked it up, yet you want to go back time and time again to relieve the magic.
Congratulations Kelly, you've just got yourself a top read of 2023! Five stars!
"Lindsay destroyed my trust. Georgie has the power to destroy my heart and soul."
"Being Fearless simply means taking chances..."
The fear of being hurt emotionally is often scarier than any imaginable physical pain. In book 1 of the Love In Montana series, Fearless Enough by renowned romance author Kelly Elliott, both Blayze and Georgiana are scared they won't recover if it doesn't work out for them in this small town second chance romance.
When Blayze and Georgiana were teenagers they almost lost their virginity to each other until they were found behind the barn by their fathers. Humiliated Georgiana lashed out at Blayze saying she was glad she didn't make the worst mistake of her life by giving herself to him. Blayze embarrassed and hurt loses his virginity to Lindsay who has very nefarious reasons for being with the handsome, charming young Blayze.
Ten years later Georgiana is a journalist assigned to interview Blayze's family about their famous bull riding and breeding ranch. The chemistry between them is filled with much tension, unresolved anger, and a decade of life without each other that being together seems insurmountable. Then there are the secrets...so many secrets.
The writer paints a vivid picture of the beautiful ranch. She creates real characters who stay with you. Blayze's family is loving, large and loud. Then there's the slow burn steam between these two imperfect perfect people. When the steam's at its hottest these two make fire. Blayze is named appropriately because he burns Georgiana in all the right places!
This love story is a great start to a new romance series. Book 2, Cherished Enough is already out. It's Morgan, Blayze's sister, and Ryan, Blayze's best friend's story. I already have it because when it comes to steamy romance I just can't get enough of it.
I received a free copy of this book from #bedsidereading for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.
I don't even care that I'm reading these books out of order . While they are technically standalones, you will get more satisfaction out of these books if read in order. Blayze and Georgiana are so hot together! I say this with all the books Kelly writes, but I just love this couple, and this world she has created. I want to go out west and visit these fictional towns and meet these characters!!
Seeing who Blayze turned out to be while also getting glimpses of Brock, Ty, and the rest of the crew was so entertaining. I loved seeing what everyone was up to in the present, but also getting a glimpse of Blayze as a teenager growing up on the ranch.
The second chance romance between Blayze and Georgie was everything I had hoped it would be - passionate and smokin’ hot. These two were meant to be and I had heart eyes watching them fall in love all over again.
Kelly could write anything and I would devour it but give me a setting in Montana, a family I already love and toss in a little Christmas……and I’ll give you 10 stars!!!! Beautifully written as always and who doesn’t love a HEA??? Then to end it with that epilogue???? Such a tease Kelly!!!!
I love this family and glad the family story is continuing with the kids. Blayze was a delight as a child so I am glad to read his story and how he finally gets the girl! Highly recommend this whole series.
Aw, this was a sweet cowboy romance. I wasn’t aware it was a second generation story, but it didn’t impact my read at all.
Blayze and Georgie were each other’s firsts in a lot of ways. But when an embarrassing encounter with their dads happened, Georgie freaked on Blayze and didn’t see him again. Now they’re adults and she is going back to write an article on their family. Naturally her and B get pushed together often, and they have to work through some of their issues.
The chemistry between them is still very present, and the more time they spent together, the more they wanted one another. They quickly rekindled their old spark, and were a couple. However things get tricky when B’s ex gets involved. It reminds him of one of the worst times in his life and how she took advantage of him.
These insecurities cause a few problems in GB and ultimately they go their separate ways. Finding their way back again is difficult as always, but distance makes the heart grow fonder. And they realize that.
I truly loved this book. It was not super spicy, just a sweet cowboy Romance. Honestly can’t go wrong with a rancher.
I am ridiculously excited to be heading back to Hamilton MT with the Shaw Family and to kick it all off with Blayze.
Blayze and Georgie’s story is a second chance love story on Steroids. Blayze is still the flirt he was as a child but he’s issuing it now to hide his pain. Georgie is back after 10 years but she’s there for a job - not to fall head over heels for the boy who broke her heart again.
Loved this book so much. I can’t wait for book two - June can’t come fast enough.

A sigh-worthy second chance romance that kicked off the Love in Montana series with a whole lot of heart and heat, Fearless Enough reintroduced us to Kelly Elliott’s beloved Shaw family so we can follow the next generation, all grown up and looking for their HEA.
Fearless Enough brings us back to Hamilton, Montana, the rustic setting for Kelly Elliott’s Meet Me in Montana series. But this time we get up close and personal with the original casts’ children–who have grown up strong as well as proud of their family history and the love they’ve all witnessed at home. This first book focused on fan favorite Blayze. He was such a charmer and flirt when we met him as a kid that I clearly remember thinking, ‘Oh…he SO needs his own story in the future.’ Read More

Fearless Enough is book 1 in the Love in Montana series by Kelly Elliott and is the second generation of the Shaw family in Meet in Montana series.
Up first is Blayze Shaw and Georgiana Crenshaw’s story. We delve into the past history of these two to her showing up years later at the ranch to write about the family of bull riders except the editors want an expose’ on Blayze and his secrets for not following in his family’s PBR footsteps.
Can she and Blaze put their past behind and move on to their HEA…only time will tell…secrets, expose’, opening your heart, trust issues, friendship, sizzling sparks and so much more. Can’t wait for more books in this series!
I can't tell you how excited I was to learn that the fabulous Kelly Elliott was returning to Montana and one of my favourite cowboy series.
For a spin-off featuring the next generation and what better place to start than Blayze. Who, for me, was the undisputed star of Meet Me in Montana's Never Enough.
But now he's all grown up and about to come face to face with his past and first love Georgie. Who as a young girl was a regular fixture on the ranch. That is until their fathers caught them getting hot and heavy behind the barn when they were sixteen. And Georgie declared it was the biggest mistake of her life. Which left Blayze licking his wounds and sleeping with another girl to get his own back.
Now ten years later the pair are reunited and get a second chance at love.
But Blayze has walls and trust issues and Georgie still feels she's not and never will be enough for the gorgeous, flirty, blue-eyed cowboy she's always loved.
Yet, time spent together on the ranch and with the Shaw family has Georgie realising her and Blayze are perfect for each other. She just needs Blayze to trust her with his heart, family and the ranch he adores.
And with lots of new faces, as well as old. Sexy cowboys and sexy times. Fearless Enough is a fantastic read. That I genuinely couldn't put down and it's also made me want to re-read the original Meet Me In Montana Series again.
I would happily recommend this story and the Meet Me in Montana series to all.
My thanks to Kelly Elliott and Greys Promotions for the opportunity to read an early copy of Fearless Enough. 😊
I am so freaking excited for this series and was so excited it started with Blayze. He was a hoot of a child and I couldn’t wait to see him as an adult. And Ms. Elliott didn’t disappoint! I can’t wait for more!
Ouch. Blayze and Georgiana have a lot to work through here. An almost-was, a lot of stupid wounded teenage pride, a could-be today, and a secret that one is trying to tell while the other has one they’re trying to hide. The real question becomes whether or not they can put aside the bitterness over old hurts and perceptions to find forever together.
I won’t lie. Blayze made me angry a few times. I definitely like that he isn’t quite what he appears to be, but his insistence on punishing Georgie for his own dumb moves irked me. But then he finds he can’t stay away. He can’t forget her. And honestly, he doesn’t want to. So he convinces Georgie to give him a real shot this time. But when something comes out that he has every right to be upset over, it’s like they’re teenagers again and his wounded pride soars up to take over. And wounded pride is stubborn. Luckily, maturity is also stubborn, so Blayze getting his head and heart around what’s truly happening is refreshing, as is his ability to actually mean it when he says he’s sorry.
As for Georgie, she’s easy to like and even easier to understand. She’s doing the right thing, even if no one wants to hear or believe it. And she isn’t one to let her emotions run the show….too often. It helps that she’s got such and incredible ally in Morgan. And even Blayze’s mom and the rest of his family. They almost seem too happy to watch him squirm, and I love them for it! After all, is it really family if you don’t make a brother or son suffer just a tad once in a while?
This has the promise of becoming an excellent series and I can’t wait for Morgan’s story. It’s clearly going to be a doozy!
