What would you do with a scrooge?

An absolutely delightful fun rom-com full of swoony Christmas spirit. Sarah Ready is a must read author and this book doesn't disappoint.

Natalie, a person who loves Christmas so much she is a professional Christmas decorator meets a real life scrooge, Gabe, during a Christmas decorating event gone bad. She makes it her life's mission to convert this sexy, smoldering grump. She resorts to extreme measures which include kidnapping, handcuffs and smothering Christmas cheer.

I loved this grumpy sunshine story so much. If you love some Christmas magic, this is a must read.

This is my second book by this author. This is a modern day retelling of the classic story of Scrooge.

I really enjoyed this story. There are some hearty laugh out loud moments.

Gabe Cavanaugh is a big shot NY Real Estate developer. The CEO of his family’s business. He hates, outright loathes Christmas. Why you ask? The reason is teased here and there, not fully revealed until much later, and not at all what I was expecting.
He is a grumpy, grouchy, typical alpha male who winds up trussed like a turkey and tossed into a precarious position. Loved it!

Natalie Fiorre would fit right in in Whoville. An entrepreneur, who owns an interior design business specializing in holiday themes. Her favorite, Christmas. She learns of an upcoming project Gabe is working on that will impact her life and many others. So, she decides to take matters into her own hands, by helping Gabe rediscover the beauty and meaning of Christmas. Good luck!

4.25 stars

I’m deducting points for a couple of plot points that don’t make sense. And the cliffhanger in the bonus epilogue regarding another character. Not fair.
Plenty of sexual tension and build up, the smexy times are lower on the steamy scale.

"Because when you kiss me, it feels like Christmas morning."

Can Christmas wishes really come true? In Romeo, New York, the soul mate capital, perhaps they can. At the advice of Miss Erma, Natalie Fiorre "scrooges" Gabe Cavanaugh, tying him up in Christmas lights, tossing him in the trunk of her car and driving from NYC to her family cabin to infuse his life with a dose of Christmas spirit. What ensues between a woman who loves everything about Christmas and a man who absolutely loathes it is an amusing series of misadventures in discovering the true meaning of Christmas.

Grab a cup of hot cocoa and suspend disbelief because this book is a fun and unique holiday tale written only as Sarah Ready can. With events almost impossibly crazy and morally questionable at times, this was such a beautiful, heartwarming journey towards finding a holiday HEA in a winter wonderland. Including some underlying deep emotional issues, this is a story about embracing everything life has to offer and opening yourself up to a world of possibility filled with love and happiness. And even if you never believed in soul mates, you just might start now.

After a slow start warming to my cold, dark heart, this book turned into everything I never knew I wanted it to be. Beautifully atmospheric and filled with the festive splendor of the holidays, the author's love for Christmas clearly shines through. I loved the dynamics within Natalie's family, especially with her grandma, as well as Natalie's open and caring heart as she tried to break through Gabe's intolerance for Christmas. The steamy scenes perfectly complemented the holiday cheer, burning with a fiery intensity through the snow and ice. The third act breakup added just a hint of angst and it made me long for Natalie and Gabe to find their way back into each other's arms, where they truly belonged.

I always say that an ending has the power to make or break a book and this one was truly spectacular in all of its Christmas glory. Even though I would have liked to see a little more about the deeper issues involved in this story, the ending brought tears to my eyes with a surprising connection and a very special Christmas gift and was the perfect way to wrap up an otherwise wild adventure.

"The magic is always there, sometimes we just forget how to see it."

4 Star review of Scrooging Christmas by Sarah Ready
Tis the season or is it? Natalie Fiorre is a professional holiday decorator (a job I would love) and when she comes up against the scroogeist scrooge ever in Gabe Cavanaugh, she may have well met her match.
From the moment they met the sparks flew and not in a good way. Gabe hates Christmas with a passion and when he arrives at his company to find it overflowing with decorations he loses his temper.
Can Natalie help Gabe find the magic of Christmas or will he go through with his threat to evict her and her friends. However tying him up with Christmas lights and kidnapping him and taking him to her family’s cabin, might not be the way to convince him.

This was a fun, entertaining read that got me in the mood for the holidays.

Better than any hallmark movie!!!

Christmas spirit, christmas love and a good dose of dislike to love + opposites attract + forced proximity with a grumpy billionaire who hates all things christmasy and a decorater who loves every single thing about the festival, where to keep her neighbours safe, she kidnaps him and forces some christmas experiences.

If this doesn't sound like a perfect romcom then you need help. Maybe? Just kidding...or am I?

Oh, my stars, our favorite psychic matchmaker Miss Erma is back in fine form, just in time for Christmas. When Natalie Fiore inadvertently takes a call from Miss Erma before Natalie's holiday visit to her parents' home, she takes advantage of some miscommunication and a serendipitous opportunity. It results in Natalie snatching NYC's biggest Scrooge from Manhattan's icy streets and spiriting him away to a place in rural New York touted as the Love Capital, otherwise known as Romeo, NY.

Each romance in this series has been wildly entertaining, but this one is the twinkling star atop the Christmas tree. Our heroine, Natalie, is a little unbelievable and a lot hilarious, all of it wrapped in a warm, wonderful, Christmassy heart. And our Scroogy hero, Gabe, bless his heart. He has his reasons for hating the Christmas, and darn if Natalie doesn’t hold the key to a little holiday magic that restores his Christmas spirit.

I laughed my way through this story, often shaking my head incredulously. But beneath all the hilarity and holiday spirit is a sweet, touching story, and watching it play out filled my heart with cheer. Grab your favorite cozy blanket and warm beverage and let this charming, heartwarming romance fill your heart with all things Christmas. You'll fall in love with these characters and adore every minute of this enchanting holiday reading escape!

Steam Level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (4.5- multiple moderately descriptive sex scenes)
Trigger Warning: kidnapping, brief mentions of a missing child

Natalie Fiorre loves everything Christmas and is so excited when she's hired to transform a depressing real estate office for the holidays. Unfortunately, the boss- Gabe Cavanaugh- hates Christmas and everything having to do with it. When Natalie learns that he's about to tear down an apartment building and serve eviction notices right before the holidays, she decides he needs a good dose of Christmas cheer. This leads her to drag him to her family cabin in Romeo, NY and force him to participate in Christmas activities. Despite her illegal and outlandish methods, Gabe can't deny the attraction he has for Natalie and her ability to thaw his cold heart. Could this be the year when this Scrooge finally believes in Christmas again?

What a fun and steamy holiday read from Sarah Ready! I enjoyed seeing Miss Erma make another soulmate connection just in time for Christmas, as Natalie and Gabe's story took me back to Romeo, NY. Now, I'll admit this story might not be for everyone since it involves insta-love and a bit of a wild premise, but I certainly enjoyed it. If you can suspend disbelief, then I think you'll come to enjoy how Natalie and Gabe fall in love. And there's plenty of Christmas cheer for those looking for something to read during the holidays! This book had a bit of an enemies to lovers vibe in my opinion, since Gabe kind of hated Natalie while also wanting to kiss her face off 😉🔥 If you like the tension in those kinds of situations, then this will definitely not disappoint! I also have a feeling that we'll be getting more installments in this series based on a few characters introduced in this story. I'm definitely looking forward to it!

This was such a fun loving Christmas story. I picked it up and didn't want to put it down. I'm not crazy gaga over Christmas but Natalie's love for it makes me wanna be that Christmas loving fool. The meet not so cute between Natalie and Gabe was just the stepping stone into their crazy love story. Gabe despises Christmas. It's sad actually but once you learn his story you understand why and it's make your heart ache. I love how it all comes full circle. I love how Gabe not only falls in love with Natalie but also Christmas again. There's honestly not much that I didn't love. The Christmas cheer, the grumpy scrooge, the crazy antics, Miss Erma, and everything in between. After reading, though, I now want Lee's story. That is one I am VERY curious about. All these soul mate stories are fun and they just seem to get better and better.

This is my new favorite Christmas story ever. What a fun, sweet, and fantastic tale of kidnapping, Scrooging and finding the love of Christmas.

I can relate to Natalie because I love Christmas - decorating, the season and all the wonderful food. Natalie takes it to the next level spreading holiday cheer wherever she goes. She is a delightful character they you can’t help but fall in love with.

Gabe, oh Gabe…I know there’s a heart in there somewhere. Lol. He is a grumpy, anti-Christmas, workaholic who is still holding onto events from his past. His transformation during the book is magical.

I love Sarah’s writing and how she puts her characters into these uncomfortable, angsty, fantastic and hilarious situations.

The initial meeting with Natalie’s family is one of my favorite scenes along with then hike through the snow scene! :)

Highly recommend to get you in the holiday spirit!

Gabe is a successful businessman who is focused on his career and feels that Christmas as well as all the goodwill that goes along with it could disappear, and he wouldn’t miss it. He is less than impressed to find his office all decked out to celebrate the holiday and isn’t shy about letting Natalie know.

Natalie has created a successful business by decorating homes and businesses for the holidays but Christmas is definitely her favorite. She decides that she will be the one to show him the wonder of the Christmas season even if her methods are unorthodox. Let the fun begin!

Humor, heat and heart as Natalie is a force of nature when it comes to convincing Gabe that there is so much more to life than the way he has been living it and we soon realize that when it comes to Gabe we don’t really know him at all.

“I just got dumped for a cat.” 🍪🐈

“I’ve been kidnapped by a Christmas cuckoo, a festive fanatic, a Noel nutcase.“

“Now who’s on the naughty list?” This scene had me cracking up, it reminded me of that movie “The Wrong Missy.” 🤣😂🤣

So far, this is my fav Christmas / holiday read of the year.

I like pretty much anything Sarah Ready writes and this book was no different. The Soulmates in Romeo series is so much fun. My other fav book in the series is Married by Sunday.

The story is over the top christmasy with lots of chemistry between Natalie and Gabe. The spicy scenes were filled with passion and left juuuuust enough to the imagination without skimping on the important stuff (if ya know what I mean😉😜).

I absolutely recommend that you check this series out. The books in this series are quick reads and they are filled with endearing characters that you’re sure to love.

If the Farrelly Brothers made a Christmas romantic comedy it would be this story. Scrooging Christmas is full of wacky moments, but it then fills the heart with a lot of Christmas magic.

Gabe Cavanaugh is lacking Christmas spirit. Although that is putting it mildly. He is a bit of a scrooge and Natalie Fiorre is determined to make sure by Christmas that she fixes it.

Okay, there is a lot more to it than that. Natalie shows up to his place of business, after making it look like the North Pole, which is the last thing Gabe wants at Christmas, he is such a scrooge, anyway....after he wants it taken down...well, there is a date gone wrong where Natalie's date would rather spend Christmas with his cat, a mistaken taxi ride, and suddenly she's kidnapping Scrooge. Don't worry...Christmas is fun, magical and Scrooge may still get visits from a few ghosts.

This was such a cute and fun read! The perfect holiday read that feels like a Hallmark movie and puts you in the Christmas spirit! Miss Christmas, Natalie, tries to show Mr. Scrooge, Gabe, the meaning of Christmas after she ties him up with Christmas lights, puts him in her trunk and drives him to her family cabin. This book had me laughing all the way through and kept me wanting to see what Natalie was going to do next. This was a quick read that I was able to finish in one setting. If you are looking for a lighthearted read with lots of laughter then this book is for you!

OMG. I loved this book! It was everything I could want in a Christmas romcom. There were so many funny moments, I literally laughed out loud a few times. The story had the perfect Christmasy vibe and was so heartfelt! It also had the exact right amount of spice.

I usually don’t like the instantly falling in love trope in romance but the story was so magical I didn’t even mind it 🤣

I only wish I had a friend who was as enthusiastic about Christmas as the FMC Natalie is. We could all use a little extra of that Christmas cheer!

Natalie is like a real life elf bringing Christmas cheer to anyone and everyone. Usually for a price. Because even Santa's helper needs some money to live on.

Meet Gabe he has zero Christmas cheer In fact he loathes the holiday. So what will it take maybe a divine intervention?

Well fear not because this hilarious duo is here to get us all ready for some holiday decorating inside and out.

So give Give me a candy cane drink because this book gives all the cozy holiday feels!... I just love everything Sarah Ready writes . She has a way with words , she makes me laugh and cry with her stories . Scrooging Christmas is book 7 of the Soul mates in Romeo Series and might be my favourite so far . I just loved both Natalie and Gabe . She is like Christmas Spirit and he is Scrooge the Christmas Hater . After a misunderstanding he ends up in her car and after how he behave towards her she kidnaps him and takes him to her hometown New York Romeo so he will enjoy the magic of Christmas . While he is trying to find a way to go back home he truly enjoying his time with her . For him it was love at first sight but he had to hold back . I loved how the present for her soulmate is piece of Gabe's past .

Cute, festive fun
5 stars

I love Sarah Ready’s Soul Mates in Romeo series. This is the seventh book in that series and they never fail to tickle my funny bone. Like other later books in the series, this one starts off with two brand new characters - at least I can’t recall them anyway! Either way, this book is definitely a standalone with its very own HEA.

We start off with a guy, kidnapped and bound and being driven far away from the city. Good grief - is Sarah Ready going dark? Thankfully, no, but it did give me pause. But we’re right back and into our story, to explain how this happened and meet our characters - a bright and bubbly Christmas-a-holic, Natalie, and Gabe Cavanaugh - a card-carrying, unapologetic Scrooge. Let the (reindeer) games begin!

Natalie adores Christmas and she’s 100% committed to it. She’s bubbly, fun and a complete hoot. She’s not too over-the-top that she comes across as a cookie-cutter character - although so long as it was a Christmas cookie, she’d probably be okay with that. She’s a sweetie, and I liked her. But…I admit that at times I had to work hard to be completely on board with her. Maybe I’ve gone grumpy in my old age but kidnapping hot men is not okay, kids!

Gabe is the poster child for a grump who is perfect for reformation by a Christmas sunshine type. He hates Christmas, is all-business all the time, and he’s got a broken soul that just needs a big ol’ hug. He’s obviously the ‘Scrooge’ in this story but he honestly never comes across as too bah-humbuggy and he’s easily reformed.

Gabe and Natalie are opposites, enemies, kidnapper and kidnapee - and obviously this works well in establishing chemistry between our pair. As well as this, you have the wonderfulness that is Gabe’s instant attraction to Natalie. He’s adorably smitten and that, in a grumpy hero, is my new favourite thing ever. My heart melted like a snowflake in the sun. But there’s also a delicious heat between the pair with lots of kissing and some delicious sex scenes.

This is a fairly simple tale that takes place over a short span of time - but it still feels authentic… or as authentic as you can expect. If I had one concern (apart from the kidnapping!) it was that Gabe turned into the perfect hero over the span of the book… and there was never the expected hesitancy about his new-found outlook on life. It was pretty much smooth sailing for our couple once they realised they had the hots for each other - well, other than the jail - but definitely smooth sailing in their feelings and commitment to each other. I could have done with a little push-and-pull or even some angst before the happy ever after.

There’s a small bit about Gabe’s brother which is never actually resolved - which did irk me some - but I’m supposing he’ll appear in a future book so I’ll have to be okay with that.

At the end of the book, I had pretty much decided it was worthy of 4 stars. A cute, fun and at times daft book with a heavy helping of gingerbread infused Christmas-ness. But as it left me with a smile on my face, I realised it’s actually the perfect story to snuggle up to in the cold, winter months before Christmas. It’s a light and funny tale that’s guaranteed to give you a shot of love and Christmas - what more could you ask for? So at that, it got bumped to 5 stars.

Scrooging Christmas by Sarah Ready is a fantastic rom-com based on A Christmas Carol.
This is another Soul Mates in Romeo story but can be read as a standalone. A hilarious tale that will certainly get you in the Christmas spirit as one event after another slowly changes both their lives forever.

Instead of Scrooge we have Gabe Cavanaugh. He runs the family real estate company and detests Christmas. After an incident at work, he finds himself in the trunk of a car tied up in Christmas lights. He is confused how he got there and wonders what his abductor wants with him. He is shocked when he discovers the identity of his kidnapper. Is she the Christmas angel or a devil in disguise, what ever she is, he knows she is trouble and plans to escape.

Natalie Fiorre embodies everything that is Christmas. She left Romeo six years ago and came to New York to fulfil her dreams of passing on her love of Christmas. She is now the owner of Holiday Spirit, an interior design company and decorates places ready for the holidays. She believes a little Christmas spirit can cure anything and loves everything associated with Christmas. Her first meeting with Gabe doesn’t go well and when she finds out some disturbing news, she is determined to show him the error of his ways.

Natalie didn’t mean to kidnap Gabe and take him to her family’s cabin but the opportunity arose
and she could’t turn down the chance to make him experience the true magic of Christmas. To her she was ‘scrooging’ him. There is a strong attraction between them and the chemistry builds as Natalie makes him take part in some of her family’s holiday traditions to persuade him to change his mind. How she goes about it is questionable because she never thinks through things, so everything she ends up doing is very funny. Natalie’s family bring more Christmas cheer and I loved how Miss Erma comes good again with her soul mate advice.

Gabe fights against all her efforts to make him fall back in love with Christmas but as she works her magic he feels his resolve fading. He’s been closed off for years and she’s been like a whirlwind, turning his life around. We find out the reasons behind Gabe hating this time of year and why he’s a cold, hard hearted man. The unexpected connection between the couple is a great twist and it was lovely how something from the past holds more meaning than either would ever know. I smiled nearly all the way through this book. It might not be Christmas yet but this sweet story certainly brings all the feels and excitement of that time of the year.

"The magic is always there, sometimes we just forget how to see it."

Natalie loves Christmas, there is nothing about this time of year that the professional decorator doesn’t love. Be it the gingerbread men, the strings of blinking lights or the abundance of tinsel, its safe to say that there is nothing that could spoil this season for Natalie. That is until Scroogie grinch Gabe rolls into town threatening to evict Natalie and her neighbours on Christmas Day! Not being one to take things lying down Natalie does the only thing that she can think of to get Gabe to change his mind… kidnapping him! With two days to inject the festive cheer into Gabe and help convince him to retract the eviction notice, what could possibly go wrong, especially when you are in Romeo the soulmate capital?

..

I just loved this book to bits! This was the perfect fast festive cute read all while being set in my favourite little town of Romeo! I have been just loving Ready’s previous books and it think I can safely say this has been my all time favourite. I just loved getting to see Miss Erma back in action, handing out another soulmate prediction.

..

Natalie was such a cute leading lady, I loved her passion for Christmas and that she was so determined to protect her friends and neighbours. It was pretty hard to find something not to love about this lady. As for our Scroogie hero well he took a bit of time to warm up to. But once we got to know Gabe and why he was so anti Christmas, it was hard not to warm to the guy. I really liked getting to see his character grow and really transform as the story progressed.

..

"Because when you kiss me, it feels like Christmas morning."

The thing that I like the most about this book was that it highlighted the fact that you have to open yourself up to new possibilities and that happiness can come from anywhere. This was a pretty light, angst free book with a major feel good factor. If you are looking for a cute enemies to lovers romance with a healthy dose of Christmas cheer and a heart warming ending then Scrooging Christmas is the book for you!

Real live Christmas Fairy takes on a Real Estate Mogul - determined to bring this Scrooge some Christmas Cheer!

Natalie may no longer live in Romeo but she still holds true to the legend of Miss Erma and she holds a psecial present just awaiting her soul mate's arrival. But a last-minute Christmas Decor job leads to her meeting the real live Grinch! Then dumped by her useless boyfriend she makes the best/worst decision of her life when fate puts Gabe in her car.

Gabe haes Christmas with a passion. Tragedy haunts him and now his entire workforce feels his wrath at what should be a happy time. A dustup with his otherwise perfect woman leaves him all kinds of tangled. Her fatal flaw? She embodies everything Noel!

Between tying him up in Christmas lights, tossing him in the boot and driving them to her family's cabin - Natalie is all in to convince the Grinch that he can't evict families (and her) from their building at Christmas.

The plans and lengths that Natalie will go to to get Gabe to change his mind go from unplanned to downright crazy! An impulsive person to say the least the hilarity just gets cranked higher when her family turns up and crashes her Christmas indoctrination!

Natalie's family, especially her gran, is an absolute scream and everything you'd want in a family. They are clearly tight knit and their family traditions may be whacky but they work for them. The chemistry burns fast and bright for these two and the romance is instant and intense! The backstory to Gabe's grumpiness will leave you in tears and I really hope we get to see more of that in further books.

I dare you to read this and not get into the holiday spirit - even if you're like me and hate the mention of THAT word until at least the end of November!

Holiday Spirit Activate!!

🎄❤️🕯This book had me in stitches and ready to start decorating my house at Buddy the Elf level.

Natalie emanates sunshine and loves Christmas to her core. She is determined to share the holiday spirit wherever she goes! She is hired to decorate a corporate office for Christmas, or so she thinks. In walks Gabe Cavanaugh, the owner of the real estate firm, to see that the North Pole basically exploded in his workplace. He is not happy to put it mildly. Rather, he is rude, he is blunt, and he makes it perfectly clear that he does not like Christmas. He wants everything gone. Posthaste.

Natalie happens to overhear that Gabe is going to evict her neighbors on Christmas and well-she’s not having it. This is where the adventure and hilarity begins. There’s a scene at the beginning that had complete “Christmas Vacation” vibes where cousin Eddie kidnaps Clark’s boss.🤣 There’s also a bit of a mystery as to why Gabe doesn’t love Christmas. We do get that answer towards the end of the book, but I did want to have a bit more information. I can only assume that story will be in an upcoming book. I hope so, as I wanted to know more.

If you love the grumpy-sunshine and forced proximity tropes you will adore this one. If you are ready for a fun holiday romance that will keep you laughing and have you pulling out those decorating boxes, then treat yourself to this book. It definitely gifted me with a heavy dose of Christmas spirit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4.5/5 stars

I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

The latest installment of the Soul Mates in Romeo series is a fun, cozy, and delightful story of two opposites that definitely attract, and is a reminder that you’re never too old and it’s never too late to experience some Christmas magic.

Natalie Fiorre loves everything about Christmas. As a professional holiday decorator, it’s literally her job to spread cheer for her clients. Gabe Cavanaugh, on the other hand, hates everything about Christmas. No decorations, no presents, no cheer. When circumstances throw Natalie and Gabe together, Natalie is determined to change Gabe’s mind about the holidays, while Gabe can’t wait to get back to his usual routine.

The shenanigans these two get into had me laughing out loud while I was reading. These opposites bump heads a lot, but as they get to know each other more, the tension goes down, the walls break down a little more, and they find that they’re more compatible than they think. I loved seeing Gabe open up more to Natalie and seeing Natalie’s openness rub off on Gabe little by little. By the time they come to terms on how they feel about each other, it’s nothing short of a holiday miracle.

Now, this wouldn’t be a Sarah Ready novel without something pulling at your heartstrings. When Gabe finally reveals why he hates Christmas so much, my heart couldn’t help but go out to the little boy who had something so tragic happen to him. Because of this, I think readers will really enjoy the ending (and the bonus epilogue from Sarah’s website!) which will remind us all to never forget the power of a wish, and of course, the power of a little holiday magic.

SCROOGING CHRISTMAS is out now and it’s the perfect feel-good story to get ready for all the holiday reads coming up this year. Our friends from Romeo are waiting with open arms! A big thank you to the author and Social Butterfly PR for the advance review copy.

Natalie loves everything about Christmas. Gabe hates everything about Christmas and is the typical holiday Scrooge. But when Natalie and Gabe first meet, sparks fly.

When Gabe threatens to evict Natalie and all the other tenants from her apartment building, she knows she has to do something about it. So, she decides to take Gabe to Romeo, the soul-mate capital of the world, to show him some Christmas magic, and hopefully change his mind about evicting everyone.

Scrooging Christmas is a grumpy sunshine Christmas romance that is full of festive fun.  The dry, witty sense of humor of Gabe will have you laughing the entire book. His grumpy attitude and comebacks are hilarious. I'm glad I read this one at home because I probably would've gotten some weird stares had I read this one in public from all the LOLing I did. Natalie is the epitome of all things Christmas. She radiates happiness and Christmas everywhere she goes. Gabe and Natalie were the perfect couple. Their personalities clash, yet mesh so well. This book was over way too soon. I never wanted it to end. This was the first book I've read by Sarah Ready and I absolutely love her writing style. I'm definitely going to read the other books in the Soul Mates in Romeo Series because this one was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite Christmas rom-com of the year.

Scrooging Christmas
Sarah Ready

Rating 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

Review

How far would you go to save the homes of many and one man's Grinchy heart? I say we kidnap the man and that's what our MC Natalie Fiorre does! She is an interior decorator who abso-freakin-loutely adores Christmas and she knows no place other than her hometown to make Mr.Scrooge fall in love with Christmas. Gabe Cavanaugh is a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas but what happens when Christmas literally explodes inside his office!? He turns to the twinkle light wearing Christmas fairy like Interior decorator and explodes! But when Natalie learns of the Scrooge's plans for Christmas she takes opportunity by the horns and ties it up with Christmas lights and hauls Mr.Scrooge to her hometown!

Woah what a fun filled Christmas Scrooge must've had definitely more adventurous than anyone else I know that's for sure! Wrapped in the love of Christmas cheer and all twinkle lights and fugly sweaters is the book Scrooging Christmas by Sarah Ready! A well written masterpiece, with a little naughty trigger with the kidnapping but filled with fun and all things small town Romero has to offer. The plot is interesting from the first till the last page, the characters are well written and the cover is just perfect!! 🎄

Perfect Zany Rom-Com to Start the Holiday Season!

This is a crazy, zany rom-com revamp of "Scrooged" where Natalie "accidentally" kidnaps Gabe who really hates Christmas and plans to evict a whole apartment building on Christmas Day (including Natalie) so he can develop the property and takes him to her family's remote cabin. Naturally she discovers this while being fired from her job as a holiday decorator for his office as he orders her to "undecorate" the office ASAP! There are sparks galore while they detest each other and their banter is laugh out loud. While the story is crazy and zany it is well written and keeps the reader engaged - I could not put it down. Her family is also wonderful and welcoming when they arrive early and unexpectedly to the cabin and you just can't help but wait and hope for Gabe to be "de-scrooged" and to want their HEA. And because this is Romeo there is Miss Erma and all of her "Romeo" magic. This book is part of a series, but can definitely be read as a standalone. It is the perfect curl on the couch beginning to the holiday season read-Enjoy it with a cup of cocoa !

I read an advanced copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Scrooging Christmas is Sarah Ready’s latest romance in the Soul Mates in Romeo series, but it can be read as a stand-alone.

Professional holiday decorator Natalie Fiorre loves Christmas. She believes there isn’t anything in the world that a dash of Christmas Spirit can’t fix—until she meets Scrooge Gabe Cavanaugh. Gabe’s ex-fiancee hires Natalie to decorate Gabe’s office out of spite, and he has a come-apart when he sees it. Then Natalie learns that Gabe plans to evict Natalie and her neighbors on Christmas Day so he can do something else with their NYC building.

Natalie has two days to stop the evictions and help Gabe discover the magic of Christmas. She takes him home with her to Romeo, New York, hoping that being in the the soul-mate capital will change his attitude. There are cameo appearances from characters from previous Romeo books that add to the adventures and hijinks.

Scrooging Christmas is a very funny romance. The reader can’t help but root for Natalie as she deals with Gabe. It’s a very enjoyable romance with a grumpy/sunshine trope. This is the Christmas romance that I have personally liked best this year.

I received an advance review copy (ARC) from Sarah Ready and Social Butterfly PR for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

What do you get when you take Scrooge and Buddy the Elf (from the movie Elf, obviously), handcuffed together at a cabin in the middle of the woods? Only the most hilarious Christmas romance ever.

Going in I just wasn’t prepared for the level of crazy Natalie has for Christmas. She kidnaps this hunky Scrooge on a mission to convince him to love Christmas and instead maybe she’s falling in love with him. Gabe is out to hide his traumatic and just pretend he hates Christmas for no reason. So when Natalie’s family shows up to the cabin early, will Gabe continue to try and escape back to the city or will the Christmas spirit finally warm his heart?

Sarah Ready is a master at the hilarious banter between her mains (honestly Natalie’s grandma is also amazing and I need to bake gingerbread cookies with her too), the *spice*, and of course a fast and hard romance with a happy ending. Another stand-alone within the series, you don’t want to miss the rest of these books. No, seriously- you have plenty of time to read all the others before getting to this one for some holiday cheer so do that.

Thank you to @sarahreadyauthor and @socialbutterfly_pr for my gifted copy and including me on this tour!
