I became the monster I had to in order to survive…. My history isn’t filled with love and sunshine. I grew up with a family that did the opposite of what they should have and I had to fight to survive. When the time came to battle my demons, I burned them to the ground until there was nothing left to fight. Now that I’m free, I have to feed the monster they forced me to become, and there’s only one way to do that. My name is Briar, and I’m your worst nightmare. If you’re slotted for death, you’ll never see me coming and I promise you, it won’t be quick. You can pray all you want, but no one can save you from me. Run, if it will make you feel better. My monster will still find you…. *A standalone Dark Romance MFM. If you have any triggers, be extremely mindful of the warnings at the beginning of the book. They’re there for a reason and not to be taken lightly.*
A thousand times way more better than the first book in the Revenge Diaries Series(tbh the two can't even compare since this masterpiece is in a complete different league)
I loved Devon,Dylan and Brie. These three were simply amazing. They literally became one of my most favourite couples. These three were a badass ,kick-ass group and I loved reading each and every one of theirs pov.
The sex scenes were orgasmic and I had to use my toys while reading the book. Honestly, these authors have made my expectations skyrocket and now each and every time I indulge in naughty times, I suggest my partners to stop seeing and start reading more for them to improve their pleasuring skills🤭😋
The torture scenes were all super cool but the blender case just took the spotlight. Not only was it unique but I don't know why,but it's a well deserved and satisfying punishment for such vile offenders.
This book was a masterpiece and I am going to keep reading it time and again just to satiate my dark needs😏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The plot intrigued me as I know from the first book that Cassie doesn't shy away from dark subject matters and the revenge storyline carried out against her father and his friends. However, it felt rushed in places afterwards, making it a vendetta to take out other monsters that abuse others and I were all for it, but it didn't flow for me.
Dylan and Devon, Twins found a scared 8-year-old girl and when their life changed forever. I loved the protectiveness and how they took care of her. Throughout the book, the love bombing is aggressive between them and her site, like on every other page. I know a girl needs to reassure, especially with her past but too much. I love you baby and you're my everything is nice to hear but not all the time. Also, the dialogue felt like teenage speak and I think the only sensible one was Dylan who seemed to be the one who handled everything so they went off on a killing spree.
I glazed over the spice because it was the same every time they got it on and it was constant and also the twin thing. I'm not mad at it but how comfortable you need to be with yours and your brother's cocks in the same space was another Tuesday for them.
I'm sorry I wanted to like this as the first book for me slayed like I felt all the emotions Carly felt in the story. Briar, it's just glimpses I couldn't connect with her. It takes a strong creative woman to think of all those torture scenes, but it felt empty to me.
I read the blurb for the third book looks good so I can't wait for that but yes this was not for me.

Cassie does it against ays me every time I read one of her books. She's brings to life all elements of human nature from sweet loving moments to the darkness and depravity which plagues our world.
Briar, oh my dear sweet girl, my heart breaks for the abuse she endured. I love how she was able to harness her pain and seek her revenge but also use it as a tool to help save others from the life she has lived.
Devon and Dylan, they are everything their broken girl needed from the moment they stumbled across her. They are opposites in almost every way but together they are her perfect balance and Dyls sweeteness counters Devons harsher nature.
The love these three have is utter perfection, their devotion to each other could heal almost anything. I love how the boys support her every day of her life, in every way she needs it.
This book is dark, emotional and blood thirsty but it is a truly brilliant read.
I think this started out strong. The story of her abuse is written so well and her two best friends witnessing her pain and being so young that none of them know what to do but wait...the revenge was perfectly done and the character development and relationship was building nicely.. Then she's and they're adults and it just doesn't hold my attention from there on. To many avenging others scenarios lose their flavor because the rest of the book is just that and sex. I will read more of her books because she's a great writer.... I read very twisted dark terror, captive and kidnapping romances so if you haven't this is a good book to start off with. So, the first part 5 stars but when she's grown 4 stars....Still a book worth reading...
So, I read a bunch of books over the holidays and leading up to the holidays while I was sick for 18 days, and I have to say, none of them were stand out enough to hop on here and review them fresh in mind. So now that I've conquered too many books to count, I'm trying to double back and review the ones I remember or at least give them a rating.
With that in mind...I did read this book however it didn't leave any lasting impressions and I was too sick to write notes down. So this review is only to explain why it's getting a 3 star rating and not my typical, full blown, detailed review. Sorry to my followers for slacking, but again it wasn't a stand out.
Don’t ignore the warnings about possible triggers..
This book is dark. It’ll make you feel like your emotions are on a roller coaster ride. Sadness, despair, anger, sick, vengeful, and finally a bit of happiness from all the revenge happening. Briar, Dylan, and Devon have a freakin beautiful relationship. Is it different from most? Yes. Who cares. They were meant to be, complete soul mates. Though this book is full of darkness, their love story shines through it and burns hot. Loving this series.
Dylan and Devon saw and felt love at the first sight of Briar! Briar may have been bred into a unaliver but she put her skills to good use and rescued the ones who couldn’t rescue themselves! Chefs kiss!!!!! I loved everything about this book! The guys made sure that she had an outlet so she wouldn’t lose her mind! I love that for her! Especially with them making sure she had an education to help others as well! This was a really messed up story but it was wrapped up beautifully!
Another great revenge story from Cassie Hargrove! Briar is a brilliant, strong character who has gone through so much, but still protects others. The story starts with her past, meeting Devon and Dylan and then moves to the present. The writing was so good that I cried for Briar and the pain she was going through. There is also a great but horrible, present day twist!
Briar hasn’t had a good life even when she meets Devon and Dylan she still keeps everything a secret from them. When the day comes she’s had enough they all plot her revenge and that revenge is sweet. Loved how Devon and Dylan protected Briar from the start giving her space until she felt secure enough to bring them into the horrors she had been submitted to by her father and his friends.
Dylan and Devon fell head over heels in love with Briar at first sight! Briar was bred to be a unicorn, but instead she used her mad skills to rescue those in distress! Chefs kiss!!!!! I was totally obsessed with this book! The guys made sure Briar didn't lose her marbles by giving her plenty of outlets! I love that they had her back! And can we talk about how they made sure she got an education to help others? Genius! This story was messed up, but the ending was pure perfection!
I'm not sure if this needs the TW labels or to just be listed as every CSA/SA survivors fantasy come true. I'm so in love with the idea of Briar finding two protectors so early on and that she had some type of sanctuary to escape to. This series has won a place dear to my heart.
This is one of my favorite books from Cassie to date. Briar and the boys are amazing. It’s awesome to see how they grow and develop through the book. And who doesn’t love a little vigilante Justice. Definitely a must read.
It took me awhile to get through this book, but it so worth it. I’m so glad Brie got the closure she so desperately needed and become the dark angel that you sometimes don’t even realize you need in this world
There is romance but it’s an already there(from the past part) relationship. The main revenge was also in the past. It was a good story and I always get satisfaction from reading about murders where the ‘victims’ deserve it.
I so love the dark karma that bites people in the ass with a little help from a special team. I enjoyed the storyline and I’m glad in the end it all Working out. Good writer
I absolutely adored this book. This book should go down in the dark masterpiece hall of fame somewhere. Check trigger warnings before you dive in. *Chef's kiss*
