Sometimes a girl just needs a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates and a phone-controlled toy to brighten up her lonely Friday night.
Except if you’re Lorelei Johnson then it doesn’t happen without incident.
The toy breaks and gets stuck somewhere… it shouldn’t, and she spills wine on her phone causing it to malfunction so she can’t turn it off either.
Desperate, she seeks help from her tech-savvy long-time childhood friend who happens to live next door.
Except he’s not home and instead Lorelei walks in on three superhot but very scary men, ransacking her friend's house, looking for what she has no idea, all while she is being zapped awkwardly into the stratosphere at random intervals.

Dnf at 40ish percent. This could've been a great book. Because heroine has a toy stuck in her vagaina and one of the guys has to take it out. That's gold for me.. BUT the heroine is a super klutz in every chapter even when I skimmed.. it was annoying like come on who has so much bad luck??!? On top of that the men.. I love my men broody and alpha but these men where just stone.. they had no personality nothing at all I felt no chemistry between any of the men with the h which is sad
This book was an excellent read. It was fast paced and started with a scene that had me rolling on the floor laughing, and cringing in sympathy. The characters were as amazing as always and I loved the storyline. I was a little disappointed that it didn’t hold as much heat as I have come to expect from this author, and my favorite scenes were kind of glossed over, but I still enjoyed it and can’t wait to read the next installment.
Wow, this short story was funny, fast pace, and hot and steamy.... these three strong and sexy men were on a mission to find their missing money, instead they found the one woman they will love and cherish together. Sure she may be a klutz at times but they will forever catch her. Finding love where you never expect, but taking that chance on love will never be a regret.
Okay hands down this was the funniest book I think Ms. Kent has written yet. Just the idea of asking strangers to remove a sex toy had me laughing but add to that uncontrollable orgasms and I was dying. I also loved the revenge dig at the end as I'm sure we all would love to do this to someone from high school. Of course this now has given me fear of ever using toys for sexy time although it might be a good way to meet my neighbors 😅
I've really enjoyed a lot of Chloe Kent's books, and if the events had been handled in a different manner, they would have been fine.
But, consent is a huge issue for me and for many readers. And even if the main characters are big bad mafia guys, I have a problem with anyone laying hands on another without an understanding of consent.
Spankings are normally a good thing, even some of the other "punishments" in this book...but not until boundaries have been established and the sub has the ability to safeword out. Before that, it's just a form of abuse. It doesn't matter if it ends up turning them on eventually. If they force something into a woman without permission, it is a form of rape.
I continued the series to see if maybe it was just the mafia guys, but, no. The lumberjacks in book 2 and now the CEO billionaires in book 3 also are taking without the heroine's consent, and I just cannot continue reading.
I realize there was a warning for sensitive readers to skip, but I am not a sensitive reader. These scenes would not be an issue if they weren't staged without consent.
If forced spankings and forced anal probing do not bother you, then go ahead and read this series, but otherwise, look for books where the recipient gives the green light first and her doms check in and give proper aftercare.
Lorelei is a klutz. She trips over air, walks into walls, and breaks things, never intending to. When she goes to her best friend's house next door one night looking for help, she comes across three really scary and really hot men who want her friend. Thinking her life is over, the last thing she thinks of is an HEA.
Chloe Kent writes some really fun why choose books, and this is one of her best. Her Heroes are rough around the edges, no matter how tailored the suit, and this heroine is as hapless as they come. Luckily, her guys are there to catch her before she falls. With some great spicy scenes, this five star read is well worth the one click.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
When Loreleigh goes for help from her best friend Morgan, she is surprised to find three gorgeous, if dangerous looking, men. They were looking for something and thought she knew about it. She tried convincing them that she had no idea what they were talking about and she refuses to tell them where they can find her friend. The entire book will give you chills,in more ways than one, make you laugh out loud. Great characters and storyline. Realistic and entertaining at the same time. Definitely worth the five stars and I look forward to more from Chloe Kent.
Firstly, you need to approach this book in the spirit in which it is written. It's a short story, featuring virgin, mafia, why choose themes. Accept that. Don't think that this is going to be literature for the ages. If you accept that then you will be very pleased with this story. Given the length of the book, there's not much scope for great character depth, but all of the characters are enjoyable. The situation, while unbelievable, is fun. However, what clinched this story for me is Lorelei. She's so much fun and fantastic in this book. If for no other reason, read this story for Lorelei, and your own inner klutz.
"Three Scary Mafia Men and a Klutzy Girl" by Chloe Kent is an intriguing and steamy romance novel that brings together unexpected characters in a captivating storyline. Kent's writing style is engaging, and the tension between the characters is palpable, delivering a narrative filled with desire and passion. The unique premise of a klutzy girl with three mafia men adds an exciting twist to the story. While the book offers an entertaining and passionate read, a bit more depth in character development and plot complexity could have made it a perfect 5-star read. Nonetheless, it's an alluring choice for those who appreciate romance with a touch of suspense and danger.
This book was funny, I empathized with the klutzy woman and the wrong place at the wrong time was an oh no moment! I love a good short story and this one made me laugh and smile. Yes, it was scary at times too. "Her orgasm vibrated through every cell in her body, electrifying every strand of hair she owned." "His scent and the heat emanating from his body screamed power and danger." "They looked like really busy men with zero patience for drama theatrics and that was what her situation was in a nutshell."
I loved the character of Lorelei. The first couple of scenes with her mishap were hysterical. Things went down from there. None of the male characters were ever fleshed out. I felt I knew more about their housekeeper and goddaughter knew about them. The sex scenes were pretty rushed and really realistic. If the talent that wrote the female characters managed to merge more with the male characters this would be a great read. As it is it's a quick light hearted romance without any real depth.
She may be a klutz, but apparently is also more beautiful than she suspects. 3 Mafia men kidnap her after a very humiliating wrong place, wrong time crashes her world. Cute story. A little light on the sex scenes than what you would expect, and kind of slow-paced until the night of the reunion, and wham menage sex and professions of love and a marriage proposal. The ending was just too anti-climatic and so short I felt cheated. You mayvenjoy it.
This was a beautiful love story with a great HEA. It was also a very funny story, especially at the beginning. I could totally identify with Lorelei because I'm also known for stumbling over air. However, I wish the story was a bit longer. It was a little less hot than the last Chloe Kent books I've read, but that didn't detract from the book itself.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was such a great book. You felt connected to the female character. Her innocence was spot on. The way her mind went in different directions about different situations was heartfelt. You really felt like you were apart of the journey. Now those men ..... Wow they were smoking hot. They were all Alpha and very protected of her . They might have been made men but their heart was only for her. I totally recommend this book.
This short story started out with the klutz of a century. Whatever could go wrong did. What started out so funny changed quickly when Lorelei stumbled into a situation she couldn’t get out of. Very entertaining. Loved it
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
That really hit the spot today. This is a short contemporary sort of insta love story, with a perfect amount of spice and storytelling. The characters are likable and over the top. I laughed and really enjoyed this lighthearted mafia story. Definitely give this one a read, it’s a great little pallet cleanser between dark books or a long series. 4⭐️ 3🌶
Lorelei is hilarious with all the trouble she gets into. I love how Ian, Drake, and Justin change through the book taking care of Lorelei. I highly recommend this book if you like high heat, hot mafia men and a klutzy girl.
I’m in shock with this whole story and how many emotional events happened that brought the characters together. There’s so much drama and excitement in every single moment of this experience. I can’t wait for more
How could anyone not fall in love with Lorelei!? She’s so sweet and innocent and loyal. It’s obvious she’s been mentally beaten down. For three dominant men, she is like catnip. What a great story. It’s very steamy, short and sweet!
Lorelei was hilarious… Klutzy accountant Lorelei Johnson was looking for help from her friend when she found three scary mafia men instead. Justin, Ian and Drake took her as collateral but how can they ever let their innocent little captive go…
I’m not really into Mafia books, but this one I liked -probably because of the Klutz..😉 Strange, yet funny… 🤣🤣🤣 ”She already envisioned the coroner's report. The deceased had a toy stuck in her woohaw” 🍷📱 🍷📱
This premise sounded just ridiculous enough to be entertaining but since the story was inconsistent, at best, it didn’t pan out. Every element had potential if it had been fleshed out instead of just being a trope or cliche to get to the next scene.
Quick fast pace book. Nothing more embarrassing then being a klutz but even worse when u have to be rescued by three men looking for ur bff who has gone mia.
This book is fast paced and starts out with a major Vibe. We have an extremely klutzy female who finds herself beholden to three mafia men. I had many great laughs thanks to this book.
Short and sweet. Fun book but was too short. Towards the end of the book the writing felt rushed as the author has so much story left but few pages to fit it in.
