Aliens on Earth #9

The Christmas Alien

Rate this book
Being fired the day after I sign my divorce papers, I am so lacking the Christmas spirit.

My best guy friend has always been Santa for our town every year, and he begs me to be his Mrs. Claus.

Why not? Only this Santa isn’t overweight. I’ve never noticed just how hot he is, and the few stolen kisses to appease the kids turn into high heat when we’re all alone.

Not even learning he’s an alien might be enough to damper my renewed Christmas spirit.

Christmas alien

I don’t believe that there has been and editor and a proofreader (two if the author is to be believed) because there are more than a few errors that happen to “slip through.” Chapter one is polished. Two only has two errors. But after? I’m assuming people stopped reading or submitting to her email for the chance to win a gift card. I know I’m not going to take the time to send multiple emails… most of the errors are misspelled words (ids instead of kids) or the incorrect word used weather instead of whether). Every chapter, from three on, has four or more of these errors, to the point of annoyance, distraction, and questioning the whole 92 books. Yes, they’re short so quick to write but either she is writing them too fast, and her editor is just taking her money without doing their job, or AI is involved and the editor and proofreader is just a coverup. Will I read more from this author? No, not with the example this story gives me of their ability.

Fun bit of fluff, but nothing too extraordinary

This alien novella was fine. It was enjoyable enough, but not really special. I will say it barely counted as an Alien romance since the MMC keeps his true species from the FMC for almost the entire book and we barely see him in his alien form. There also are a fair amount of spelling and grammatical errors.
THE Christmas Alien is an ok. Quick read ( less than an hour).
