My parents showered me with love my entire life.My father guarded my heart with his life and because of his protection I was able to enjoy life to the fullest. That’s until I met Tristian. He changed my life forever. I lost myself chasing after love and the boy who I believed would be my husband someday. I consumed myself with what Tristian wanted instead of what I desired and eventually that decision ended our relationship. From boy to man. I met my blessing in disguise, Givoni. A Haitian thug from Miami. He was everything I didn’t want in a man, but his love fixed my broken heart. That’s until, he broke it again… Now I’m DAMAGED goods… There’s no way in hell I can ever be a good girl, again.
This book started with a bang from the beginning. It’s showed the character of Tristan from jump street to me. I knew Tristan was a no good person but for the life of me Naira loved him. After all they been through why would she want him back but they say love is blind. Also a women scorned is the worst women in the world. The ending I didn’t expect that at all. Baby that was like BOOM in your face. I will end my review right now because I would tell the whole book. Just know it was a good read. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this book I was greatly honored.
The book was good but I had to take away one star because Naira irked my soul. She acted like an entitled brat, but is supposed to be grown. Like how you hollering I'm grown but need your parents to fund you life and cosmetic surgery. Than SAY you want to get over the man who hurt you but move closer to him.....but I'm not going to disclose anymore information for those who have not read the book. I will take a mental break from her and then come back and read part 2.
Talk about a plot twist. First off the book started slow for me. I stopped and started a few times before I said just stick with it. But once I focused I begun to enjoy it. Naira upset me almost the entire beginning of the book. Her love for Tristan was toxic and I couldn’t understand how with a dad Like Jarlath had she fell so far off. I enjoyed G’s character. But Surgy and Irinia also made me mad. You contract someone to do something but every few days you are trying to kill them. How are they supposed to accomplish what you asked for? Anyway, I knew the Target had to be Jarlath or Wolf and I was correct. I won’t tell yall which of the two lol. Starting Book 2. Hopefully it’s just as good.
I'll start with being happy that I wasn't able to predict the ending. As it got closer, I did wonder about one of the character's involved in the ending events, but didn't predict it happening the way it did, so that's a good thing.
Initially, I was expecting another story chronicling a toxic relationship, but I suck with it and am glad that I did because that wasn't the case.
I will state that the grammatical errors took away from the content somewhat. However, they didn't throw the story of track.
A damaged woman is a dangerous woman until she begins to heal. Tristan almost broke Naira all the way down, but he didn’t thanks to G. He helped her with her much needed repair in order to move on from the toxicity. With money comes power and enemies. All the money in the world didn’t prepare us for what happened at the end. It was a total shocker, and it was unexpected
This is the first book I have read from this author. The beginning of the book started with drama and action that peaked my interest, but after that for awhile it seemed I was reading two different books in the same book. I think I know where the author was going with it, but seemed too long to get there. It was an okay read. Story has a lot of potential.
I could not understand Naira at all. I understand pampered princess thingy, but dang, this girl was ditzy... Allowing a man to beat you... No, not my kind of trip. Weak women just aren't for me; I cannot agree with this level of thinking. I hope Naira grows a pair in the next book.
This was a decent read. The different view point kind of confused me and I feel like it took a minute to gain traction. Once the book got interesting the story was over. I can’t wait to see how G and Naira get through this.
This was a great read and I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens next omgggg great book and thumbs up to the author. Now let me see how they get out of this situation....
Please tell me there's a book 2! Good read. Didn't understand why Naira even wanted Tristan back, but I guess that's what love does.... I really wanted to keep reading. Definitely didn't expect that ending.... I absolutely recommend this book.
This book was a page turner. Omg!!! Jumping to the ending.... Why did Naira's father just up and decide to leave with them after dinner? Like he knew what was going on. I can't wait for part 2. Review from Quan Davis
Oh wow I don't think she is going to want to be with him after what he did to her father wow can't wait to see what will happen in the next book cause he talkin to her crazy
