Soldiers may win wars, but assassins topple kingdoms.
War is on the horizon, and soldiers are bearing down on Vohra. Queen Joslyn means to take back the city, but her reach has far exceeded her grasp, and if she thinks I’m just going to sit back and let her dismantle everything I’ve built, she’ll be sorely disappointed. Joslyn has no idea whom she’s picked a fight with. But I aim to fix that. Though getting to a queen is no easy feat, and I’m going to need to call in some favors if I hope to infiltrate her city, let alone the palace. There are favors to call in and debts to collect. A lot needs to be done before heading to Joslyn. Good thing everyone needs a talented assassin.
Nothing much to add, another good addition to the series
I was a bit put back about the harem aspect that started to pop into this book, and really the parts where two women are sleeping next to him with just their undies was cheap and pointless. BUT, the story continues in a good pattern and we get our first glimpse of the end goal which sounds cool.
All in all a good read, just wish there were no harem parts.
A forced transition that little resembles the character from book one. That is the character I enjoyed reading about. This is just a generic entry in a series that already petered out.
Read my way through all four books, and it left me potentially wanting more. Hence it leaves me disappointed that there isn’t more or maybe I am wrong can only hope.
Great story, fantastic development, it's the kind of story that makes you wish you'd have thought of it first. Hopefully we'll get to see much more of this universe and characters!
I think this is the best story I've read this year. So lovely to read a book written in English not American. I'm now going to read the other novels by Grayson to catch up on his unique universe. Keep up the great stories.
