Firstly, I'm pleased that the author's approach has helped them to turn their life around. Sounds like they are really adding to others lives in a positive manner. However, I'm afraid that the author's very extreme and toxic relationship with alcohol, which acts as a gateway to other unhealthy lifestyle choices, is something that I did not relate to at all. This, together with an almost evangelical zeal for not drinking, means that I got a lot less out of the book than I had hoped. If the book works for you, then that's great.

My 3 thoughts:

-I related to how the book talks about living in a world that is so obsessed with alcohol (we’re conditioned to readily accept it in our lives)

-A lot of the content I’ve heard before, but there were some new things I hadn’t (and I enjoyed the chapters and easy flow of reading)

-Author Sean Alexander did a great job making it an uncomplicated read, but I did feel he could’ve added a bit more of his own story in it

It’s a quick read and good for anyone who is thinking they might have a problematic relationship with alcohol. I would recommend different books if you’re a real alcoholic or just going to a meeting.
