How do you get away from a monster when you live with him? It started when I was thirteen. He's tormented me and monitored my every move for the last decade. After the obsessed psychopath attacks me, I ran. Landing in New Orleans with my entire savings depleted, I take a job working for a motorcycle club, turning an old hotel into their new clubhouse.
Gambit
The Voodoo Kings raised me. I spent a decade serving my country. The last four years, with the new chapter I started, I’m living the biker’s dream with money to burn pussy in every direction and good whiskey to drink. That is until Stormy St. James blows into my life, changing It forever.
When the power of storms and voodoo collide, will Gambit prevail?
Candi Fox, co-host of the wildly popular radio show Candi and Company with over a million listeners began her venture in the paranormal at the tender age of two, when she witnessed her first apparition. From that moment on the paranormal seemed to follow her. No matter where she moved, the house she lived in the house next door, or the house down the street always seemed to be haunted. Candi lives with her husband and furry children in Tulsa. She is passionate about the occult, saving and rehabilitating horses, horseback riding, magic, all things mystical and has her Reiki Mastery.
Sigh I had high hopes id found a new biker author, my fav trope.
Sadly it was another sad fail.
Where do I start?
Insta love, like within hours Virgin 24 yr fmc but has w masters degrees? How the fuck do you do that or is education in usa different? In uk 3 yrs for a BA hons degree, another full yr for a masters min, sometimes two. That 4 yrs per degree, A levels at 18, so that would take you to 22 for your 1st degree, then she gets a 2nd one in 2 years? Do degrees only take 2 yrs in usa?
On top of that our superwoman also worked for kal the hotel chain manager. When did she have time for that?
In top of that she is a super author and writes successful novels! :)
On top of that she's a Julia child's level super cook
On top of that she's an interior designer
On top of that other than a couple of club bunnies everyone loves her incl all the brothers ALL men infact
On top of that she's tall, perfect body, face, hair
The author hadn't mentioned it but are we sure she doesn't speak a half dozen languages too
Get my drift? Utterly ridiculous fmc
Now for gambit- the male equivalent of fmc
Its all too perfect too sugar coated its like a romantic fantasy of a 17 yr old school girl its so corny n cliche
This is supposed to be a biker book instead its mills n boon romance on steroids with not a single ounce of realism.
Loved the story, it was a very good MC story from page one till the end. It is a love at first sight for both of the lead characters Gambit and Stormy with a little drama thrown in. Loved all the characters. I hope you do a story about Papa and Ney. Maybe a story about Nola too. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because I don't know who Ms. Fox's proofreader is, but they did not do a very good job. There was a lot of typos & misspelled words. Also, her timeline for Stormy's birth year is off. Ms. Fox has Stormy's age at 24 and born in 1987. It should be 1998, if the story is set in 2022 (because there is mention of songs from 2019 & 2020) Stormy would be 35 not 24. But I do think if you love MC stories you will enjoy this one.
This is a new to me author and she's quite talented. This book is very descriptive, easy to fall into and engulfs you completely. Beau "Gambit" Landry is the President of the Voodoo Kings MC, New Orleans Chapter. He's wild and free and he loves it that way until he meets Stormy St. James, the new girl in town Gambit hired to get their new club all set up. The chemistry between these two is over the top HOT from the beginning and things take off at lightning speed for them. Unfortunately demons don't stay away for very long and they come to the bayou in search of Stormy. Her step father is the governor of Indiana and his son is the devil incarnate. But he's met his match when it comes to Gambit protecting his Queen. All bets are off and there's no holds barred,
Ok first, the book was very hard to read what with all of the misspelled words and words that did not belong in the sentence or words that belonged there, but was typed in that same spot twice. It was like the writer was in a hurry to write this book to get it published and just didn't take the time to re read the book to search for any kind of mistakes. Second, the story line was perfect, if and when you could get past all of the mistakes. It was a really good book, just makes we wonder what the rest of the series will be like. But i'm going to forge ahead and finish out this series, lol. I really hope Candi Fox does better in the following books and i can't believe that her editor let the book go through like it was written. Again it really is a great story line and plot
Stormy and gambit love story instant love alpha Male enjoying the single life prez of the club getting the new club house done hires stormy to get it finish. Stormy is running from her past where she was abuse by her step brother the past catches up and needs gambit and the kings help can he do this so they can have their happily ever after
I enjoyed this book and only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because of the errors throughout the book for example kept saying turd instead of third most of the book is done in character point of view in the 1st person but then random sections it would be 3rd person it needs a good edit and correction made but I will now read book 2 as I did enjoy what the author wrote as is a good enjoyable read
4.5 stars A story that grabs your interest from start to finish. Gambit and Stormy fall for one another. They've got a connection and it's evident they're drawn to each other. I loved how it all happened for these two. It's an enthralling read. I couldn't get enough of this book. I really liked the dynamics, the touch of suspense, and the interactions amongst the characters.
Love at first sight does exist for Gambit and Stormy. I loved how protective, caring and not afraid to show his emotions when it came to her. I loved that she got the family she was was so desperately missing after the losses she suffered. I can't wait to see who falls next and to see more of these two.
Loved the characters. They were believable and relatable. Loved the story line as well. Sometimes there was a bit of a disconnect, jumping from one occasion to the next. Left me a bit confused. But overall it was a great book. It held my interest, which is hard to do. Some action, lots of drama and sexy scenes and a HEA guaranteed.
Gambit's Queen is going to keep you turning pages as you get charmed by Stormy and what she brings to the surface in Gambit, as well as the rest of The Voodoo Kings. The plot of book 1 is full of action and a bit of suspense. I enjoyed it, and I think you will too.
Loved the story , loved the characters & couldn't put the book down but the spelling mistakes & the characters names getting mixed up drive me nuts.If you can ignore the mistakes it's a book that leaves you wanting more
I'm impressed! I loved the story😍 This is a new author to me and I couldn't decide which book to read of hers and I'm so glad I chose Gambit's Queen! I look forward to reading more from this author😘
It has some typos, but it's a wonderful story. The characters are deep the storyline is full it's got enough twists and turns to keep you engaged it leaves you with a smile and wanting more Candi Fox did an excellent job on her storyline. Give this series some love
I loved this, it's an insta love story with plenty of action, Gambit and his Queen Stormy. I couldn't put it down and I can't wait for more Voodoo Kings.
My first read by this author.hi enjoyed both the story and characters. I loved the setting of this book. It taking place in New Orleans gave a really fun and cool feel.
What a fantastic read this is! New author for me, lots of details. These bikers are all yummies. Gambit and Stormy love a first sight. I highly recommend this.
This is story that grabs your interest from start to finish. Gambit and Stormy have a connection that draws them to each other that keeps getting stronger everyday. This book has all the drama, suspense, chaos that blends in well with the story.
