Don’t Judge a Book

Logan

Coming to Orlando to chase my dream of going to culinary school is scary. My last shot is getting the gig as a private cook for a wealthy family. But when I see their son, I wonder if it's a good idea. Because he's beautiful. I hope I don't get lost in him. His attitude towards me will all but guarantee that.

Javier

I've never looked at a man the way I look at Logan. I can't keep my eyes off him and I hate him for it. He's making me question who I am and I already have enough to deal with. How do I tell my parents I don't want to follow in their footsteps? I don't have time to think of what Logan does to me. Even though thinking about him sets me alight.

Don't Judge a Book is a 61k word light enemies to lovers turned sweet romance with a chef that dreams big and an artist that dreams in sketches. Guarenteed HEA and no cliffhanger.

One sided enemies to lovers

Ahhh this was so sweet. Why when i discovered Roslyn Faulk did I not consume her entire catalog? Why did i not treat myself to more sweet, emotional, beautiful stories like this? I never knew I needed a gay/bi for you romance until I found this one and honestly it might be my favorite over bi/gay awakening. Like can you imagine your soul recognizing another person and not caring what gender or body it’s attached to? Just a deep knowing that this is your person? This was such a beautiful story and gave me the relationship and character development I was craving. It isn’t cowboy romance but it’s country boy lite and that just as good. This was beautiful written, amazingly paced, and both Javier and Logan are book boos.

DNF at 47% - decent writing and storytelling, but it does need some proofreading. I didn’t like the animosity for the first 1/3 of the book. It felt really forced and the way they end up getting s*xual was kind of icky. It totally rubbed me the wrong way. I think I would’ve enjoyed the book if the guys had started building a friendship right away because that part was sweet, but by the time they got to that point I didn’t care enough to want to keep reading. This book was a flop for me, but I’ll give another of this author’s books a try.

Logan takes a job as a cook for a family--and then he meets Javier, the son of his employers. He's immediately attracted but he gets the instant cold shoulder from Javier. And then he finds out that Javier's coldness is a smokescreen because Logan makes him so hot.

So this was my first try by this author and I am definitely going back for more. M/M Black romance is something I am always looking for, and this was a great opening book to this author. Logan and Javier's angst was written well, and Javier's struggle humanized him--it kept you from hating him, despite how mean he was to Logan. And when he finally admitted his feelings, the way they fell into their lust and passion was everything. They were fogging up my glasses, lol. I love that they had such great family support and that they both learned how to pursue their passions. I love chef romances, so this one made me giddy. And the two of them were so cute getting to know each other. I like that Javier wasn't sure what wanting Logan meant, but he knew it was the only thing that mattered. He was ready to be with him and outside with it. Logan was so confident and dominant, he made me swoon a little. Great book.

instantly locked in!!

A great story, believable with the perfect balance of each character to support the pacing of the book. The details express what it like to be in love in a way that you can almost feel through the words on the page.
Simply put a true fairytale
