Entertaining Holmes listening ✨🎎🎉

This kindle e-book novel came from my Kindle Unlimited account one of three books by the author.

I lived in New England so I am familiar with the area that the book is set.

Holmes and Watson are on vacation on Cape Cod Massachusetts. They are requested by LIzzie Borden to come to her home to help with her defense. More murders happen but nothing is proven.

I would recommend this novel and author to readers to mystery novels and fans of Sherlock Holmes. 2024

I really would have preferred to give this book a 1, but decided to round up from 1.5 since the author did quite a bit of research. Unfortunately, it had a ludicrous plot, and dragging Holmes and Watson into it made it even worse.

I have been to Fall River and have done much reading on that bloody day in August. Lizzie may have done that first crime, but she and Emma deserved better than what this author gave them.

Sherlock Holmes came across as a very selfish man (even more so than usual). His sermonizing about law and justice was just a tad hypocritical considering some of his other cases, and also I think he knew what would happen at the end. Considering how many died after his arrival, his track record leaves much to be desired.

I read lots of Holmes/Watson books, but this was one of the worst.

I just can't get through this. In my opinion, the author just doesn't understand Watson and Holmes.

This case involving Lizzie Borden was too long convoluted in parts and not at all my favorite of the S Holmes take-off books
