Dark romance and Paranormal/ Urban fantasy Author.
Emmaleigh Loader is a stay at home mum of two and a wife, who lives in the UK. She adores her family and loves living on the seafront. Her favourite things are storms, the sea and anything witchy! She finds Winter beautiful and enjoys the beauty of the sun...Maybe a little! She loves anything dark and adores loving Alphas and strong women. She’s an avid reader and despite living with disabilities pushes herself to be someone who her family, husband and son’s are proud of. She’ll always face her struggles and adversities in the face with a big F you! Where will you find her? Under the duvet living her best life! Not because she’s showered in riches but because she finds joy and happiness in all that surrounds her, even when the dark days linger.
Trigger Warning- Dark themes and tragic stories. My work will always be on the darker side, with happily-devil-afters. Degrees of dark and tragic vary. Soft to hard. I have no middle ground. There are no boundaries. It's where the story takes me. No cheating, my Heroines would eat their Alphas and then there would be no story. Know your worth! We'll love you anyway. I write paranormal fairy tales and dark romance for the dark hearted. Queen's in black kicking ass and King's on their knees, worshiping their women. So my question, will you take immortality by the hand? XOX- Emmaleigh.
This is a Halloween novella written to accompany the other books in the King's Wolves MC series. In this one we find out that Maleia has been keeping a secret from the guys. That is until that secret shows up and causes mayhem for the MC. This was pretty creepy and I think the author did a great job on this one. We get to see all of the MC members and what they have to face one scary Halloween. I devoured it as I have all of this author's books. It was a short read but fantastic. I also love this cover so hard.
Nothing says “Happy Halloween” like this amazing novella. Emmaleigh keeps with the theme of the two previous books, Savage and Ouija, while pulling in characteristics of your favorite Halloween villains.
I have to say, Emmaleigh’s writing just keeps getting better. She has found that perfect balance of enough descriptors without being overly wordy. Also, I really enjoyed reading from the multiple perspectives. It gave a glimpse into the minds other supporting characters. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
So if you’re in the mood for a spooky, short story, grab a copy! You won’t be disappointed! It’s just enough to hold you over until the next one. I am SO ready for Stitch!!!
We get to see all the characters from the previous two books. I had to laugh at these big bad bikers when they squealed like a girl when they were scared.
What happens when people escape from the asylum? Read it and find out.
This novella was action packed! It is Halloween, and there are escaped inmates that want to play.
I loved how fast the plot moved and how it went through all of the members perspective. I also loved the plot twist with the triplets! The story flowed really well, and the live action horror movie feel of it was very interesting and unique. It was a perfect Halloween novella for the MC Wolves universe.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC of this novella. I was not obligated to review and these are my own opinions.
Who knew mayhem, murder and carnage could be so freaking funny!!!
This is a short story that takes place after Book 1 (Savage) and Book 2 (Ouija) that was a quick and fun read.
I adored this novellla and the glimpses into all the characters personalities. The banter and internal monologue had me literally laughing my ass off All while complete mayhem is taking place 😂
“Clowns. Fucking clowns. That IT clone is out there right now, lurking in the shadows. Just waiting until he can devour me whole. Not today, Penny. Not today.”
“God, don't do it. Don't turn around. Fuck it, I turned around. Full grown dudes pretending to be kids are not my jam. "Hell to the fuck nah, bruh. Don't be coming in here slashing that knife around, boy!”
90% of this book is a riot and I was SO here for it. What a FUN read! 🙌🏻
I anticipated the book would end up with Maleia having the babies and absolutely loved the way it ended. The tender moments with Stitch and his family was absolutely everythinggggg!! 🥰
Overall it was a great, fun, fast read and I’m still dying to get my hands on The next book “Stitch”!

This is a Halloween Novella in the Kings Wolves MC series by Emmaleigh Loader.
This was written in the same style as the first two books in this series.
Emmaleigh has written another Fantastic book!!! Loved it!
This Novella takes place on Halloween and each chapter was written from a different characters perspective. It was nice to catch up with each one of them.
I can't say too much as I don't want to give anything away. Other than go purchase the book. You won't be disappointed.
Stitchs' book comes out in December so this one will have to hold you over until then. If it doesn't then I would suggest you re-read the 3 books over again. Lol 😂
If you have triggers I'd suggest you look into what they are before you start the book.
Thank you for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Wow that escalated quickly and came out of nowhere. Having an entire homocidal and sadistic psychiatric ward escaping and you have to play a twisted hide, seek and kill game because it’s kill or be killed. This was super fun and fast read. It is very graphic, so if you’re not into that, skip it, however If you’re this far into the series, I’m pretty sure it will be ok. I loved all the characters POVs and getting to know them a lot better. I can’t wait for more of this crew.
Stars: 4.5 POV: multiple HEA?: yes Cheating: no Cliffhanger?: no TW: gore Tropes: MC, novella, Halloween
Can't say enough about these amazing books. I couldn't stop reading it grabbed me and didn't let go until it was over. Kings wolves Halloween is like no other. The crazies come out and play to get a run for their money from the coolest MC and their old ladies so watch out its gonna get messy. ❤❤❤❤
The King Wolves are ready to enjoy a crazy Halloween but never did they expect all the crazies to show up at their door. Maleia has been keeping secrets in the form her two crazy sisters. She is a triplet and her identical sisters have been in the nut house. They have escaped hoping to kill their sister and they brought other crazies with them. What they didn't expect was their sister to have back up in their own form of crazy. Bring on all the mayhem!!
So many romance novels will give you a nice Christmas novella to get another glimpse of the lives of the characters since the last book. But here, no, we get a Halloween novella. And let me tell you, that is so insanely perfect for this series, I can’t even begin to express it. We get POVs from multiple members of the King’s Wolves MC, and it’s absolutely fantastic. The dark, violent, and brutal aspects of this series are, as always, front and center, as the house is inundated by a group of insane asylum escapees. And boy are these some depraved and disturbed characters. As the King’s Wolves pick them off, one by one, we get a new perspective for each chapter, and in the end we get a really great surprise, and fantastic segue into the next book. I can’t wait for Stitch’s story! If you’ve enjoyed this series so far, you are going to love this novella!
I just love Emmaleigh! This one had me cracking up. I love that it was Halloween with some real psychos. But that ending had me all emotional and teary-eyed. So sweet.
OMG! This book is freaky and just when you clear one situation bam💥 your hit with some other oddity. I love how all the King's Wolves MC's plays a part in this Halloween special. 🎃💀
Wow! Take every crazy messed up Halloween movie you have ever seen add in a sprinkle of psychotic wolves mc and an odd secret that you’ve been wondering about and you have this book. Every member has their say in this book, it’s a brilliant Halloween read.
The crew has just found out Maleia is a triplet and that her sisters have just broken out of an asylum along with some friends who plan on having some maniacal fun.
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book, but it far exceeded anything I could have thought of. We have the crew taking on over fourteen insane people who want them dead. With each new person and new crew member, we get a new twisted scene where someone doesn't make it out. The author is incredibly inventive with their scenes and I absolutely loved every second of it. It's dark, twisted and gritty, and the author doesn't skimp on details.
This Halloween special gave me the shivers. To see each MC member go face to face with their own personal horror story.... yep it gave me the creeps in places.
The style and pace of this author is becoming a favourite of mine.
This Halloween novella was perfect. You get a glimpse from multiple members of the Kings Wolves MC. I’m this Halloween novella we find there are secrets that have been kept and then are about to be exposed. The book is full of violence and I’m here for it. The multiple POVs made me not want to put this book down and I devoured it.
StraightJacket is a Kings Wolves MC Halloween special that was a wild and fun ride. This story is also told from everyone's POV so that just makes this story even better. I can't wait read more.
So I was generous with my stars because I enjoyed the read all though not what I felt it should be. I have just recently discovered this series & this cover/title was actually what drew me to start the series. I was sure after reading the first two book (I’m a big fan now btw) that this wouldn’t disappoint, I wasn’t disappointed in the book but was let down that it was almost more like a B rated horror movie short clip, (also a fan of B horror movies so I don’t mean that as a dig) I just thought that with the mature nature of previous writing that the title straight jacket would actually be relevant to the story, some great bondage images come to mind… yep this is where the prudes judge the freaks… whatever you know what they say about opinions… anyway, good book, can’t wait to start Stitch (definitely my favorite character) I’m sure it’s gonna be amazing. Thanks for pouring the words out for us to enjoy 😁
This book is a halloween novella and holy cow does it pack a punch! It might be small in size but it is mighty in substance! Everyone gets a chapter in their own pov, there are some massively insane whack jobs that need dealing with that have a connection directly and indirectly to Maleia and it’s as if most major horror film killer makes an appearance. What can I say? I loved it just as I have every book in this series. My only complaint is because I love these twisted guys so much I wish it was longer. Just waiting to start reading Stitch so I can continue to get my fix!
What do you say to this crazy maniacal Halloween well let’s start with sisters really never saw that coming. Clowns, Chucky and many more popping up around corners freaking everyone out. But the Ol’Ladies are on the move and determined to stop all the whacked out escapees.
It was great meeting the Gang again. I'm in the middle of Toothpick's story. Had to pause and read 2.5 Straightjacket after Maleia spilled the beans in his story about this one. Now I've read it, time to get back to Toothpick. This one was a 3 🌟 read. Couldn't cross that threshold to 4 stars. Not necessarily a Reread. But...ehh, it was ok.
Do you want scary and dark Halloween story?! Then look no further. This is a short book with many different POV which really bring the MC working together and I absolutely enjoyed it. I do wish I was reading this during Halloween for that extra feel, but if you like horror then look no further.
Action, Halloween and, why not, some inmates ready to chase you? Ohhh, this one was so good. Since it is marked as book 2.5, for a better experience I recommend reading Savage and Ouija first. Trust me you’ll live that night through the pages! It’s an insanely great experience.
Short but punchy. Grotesque but loving. Psychotic but scarily sane this mid book will knick you off your feet. I gagged, laughed and cried. If that isn't genius, I don't know what is.
