I finished "The Price of Passion" a few days ago and am still struggling to put into words how much I loved this book. I did not want to put it down once I started reading; the plot twists just kept on coming, and I couldn't wait for the next big secret to be revealed.

The chemistry between main characters Jessa Walton and Damian Fairchild was smoking hot, but I loved their emotional connection just as much. Jessa's efforts to care for Damian by making sure he ate and took time away from the office were incredibly sweet. The main problem was that Damian had enough emotional and family baggage to fill an entire luggage cart, which made him push Jessa away when she got too close. They each had more than their fair share of obstacles to overcome over the course of the story, but I was rooting for them the whole way.

One of the things I most loved about the first book of this series was the close relationship between Damian and his brothers Axel and Trace, so to see the way their relationship deteriorated in this book was really heartbreaking. I hope they can find a way back to each other in book #3! (And after the incredible ending of this book, I also hope we won't have to wait too long to find out what happens next...)

If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. I highly recommend "The Price of Passion" for all fans of angsty/emotional contemporary romance and can't wait to get my hands on the next book of the series.

Wow wow wow!! This book grips the reader and keeps you hurtling along an emotional rollercoaster. Jessa has to be one of my all time favourite heroines, sassy, funny, caring but with vulnerabilities hidden deep down. Damien has some problems, that man carries demons that need exorcising.
And can we just address how horrible Jessas’s family is, they are truly awful.

This is the second book in a series and I now am desperate for book 3.

Such an addictive amazing read, I loved every page

This is the second book in the Bad Boys of Wall Street.
The book carried on from where book 1 left off.
Jessa and Damien have known each other since school. Damien was a best friends with her brother.
Loved the gentleness that Damien puts across but he has a lot going on in his brain and needs alcohol to help him sleep. He is a work alcoholic.
Jessa is very sweet and all she wants to be is a fashion designer.
Loved this book and highly recommend this author, so start reading her books.

The Price of Passion is the second book in The Bad Boys of Wall Street series and tells the story of Jessa and Damian.

When I got my hands on The Price of Passion, I was so excited to start reading. I really enjoyed the novella, The Price of a Promise, and the first book, The Price of Revenge, so I was eagerly waiting for the next book to show up on my kindle. And I was so happy for the wait. The Price of Passion was such a well-written and addictive read, I finished this book in one day! I just really wanted to know what was going to happen to our main characters and how they were going to get their happy ending.

I secretly love a lot of Romance tropes, and one of them is Brother’s Best Friend. The Price of Passion is about Jessa and Damian, they’ve known each other since they were kids and they both had a crush on each other. They didn’t know that either of them had a crush on the other person so now they’re adults they finally can explore the feelings they had when they were younger. I really liked that they already knew each other, it made The Price of Passion more interesting. A lot happens between our main characters but they get their happily every after, as they deserve!

The Price of Passion was yet another amazing Romance story by Ember Leigh, and I didn’t expect anything else. Ember Leigh is a talented Romance author and I’ve enjoyed all of her books I’ve read so far. The Price of Passion was such a good read, and I loved reading about Jessa and Damian. I’m really looking forward to reading Trace’ story in The Price of Infamy!

If book one had events which pulled the brothers together, then book two has blown their relationship to pieces!
Jessa has known the brothers since they were all children and has been in love with Damian since then. When she moves to New York for a fashion design course and hits trouble, Damian hires her and they begin to get closer. Not everything will go smoothly though but there is a HEA at the end - and big news for one of the brothers. There are plenty of twists and turns in this book, the outcome of some are surprising and will have you ready for Trace’s story.
Really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down! Although it could be a standalone, to fully appreciate the background relationships and ongoing problems for the brothers I advise you to read The Price of Revenge first - and hope that like me, it leaves you eager for the next instalment.

This book is die for! It is the second book in the series and it keeps getting better and better! Damian gets a call from his buddy to help his sister out with a job. Well it turns out he’s had a thing for her for awhile. So when Jessa shows up she catches him in a compromising position!! She also has feelings for him but thinks he’s involved so steers clear. Can they keep their distance and if they don’t would it ever work out?
Ember Leigh has another hit on her hand!

Intense!! This is what I have to say about this book... and one hell of a cliffhanger to end on!! Wow!!

Ember Leigh did it again and I absolutely loved it. The love that started in high school... neither Damian nor Jessa knew how they felt about each other then and didn't expect anything happening as adults, but oh the passion whenever they are in the same room! Hot hot hot!

Love their dynamic! CANNOT WAIT OR TRACE!!

I read this book in Falling For My Boss Collection and love reading about Jessa & Damien about how they knew each other growing up and how they meet again now and how their relationship is developing what happens and love how it turns out. So when I went to buy it I found that I already have this in my library and also book 1 The Price Of Promise ( Axel s story ) now I just need the rest of the books in the series . I recommend this books and author.

Plot: Jessa wants to make it on her own as a fashion designer in New York, but things are tough. Her brother gets in touch with his high school best friend, Damian, who is now a successful businessman, and Damian hires Jessa as his assistant. The problem is that he always had a crush on her, despite her being his best friend's younger sister, and Jessa has been in love with Damien forever. They work together, though, and that makes things tense. Not only that, but they both have their baggage and sometimes just liking someone isn't enough. Damian will have to decide if he is willing to take a chance and be vulnerable and Jessa will have to decide how far she is willing to go to be part of something special.

Commentary: Oh dear, an emotionally unavailable millionaire who was hurt in a fairly nirmal way when he was younger and now can never ever have a relationship because.
I did want to know what happened with the investigation and I thought there should have been a little more groveling. It wasn't bad for what it was though.

Confusing

Too many moving parts, people, secrets unresolved and it ends on a cliff hanger.

Additionally, I really don’t like very explicit sex talk. I mean…eww. I think it’s demeaning. Guess I’m a prude.

I had a difficult time trying to pick this story back up to read on.

This book threw me in for some twists and turns. As soon as I started reading I couldn’t put it down.

Damien carries the weight of the world and his expectations on his shoulders.
Jessa took the chance to make her own life decisions and live in New York to get her fashion certificate to design plus-size fashion.

Damien does a favor for his old hometown/childhood friend and hires Jessa as his secretary. After 15 years both are not prepared for the emotions and chemistry to be as strong as it is. With secret crushes from their childhood, they try to draw the line at professionalism.

Damien soon realizes Jessa makes his days and life a little easier so his claim on her blurs the lines they created. The chemistry and connection between these two were amazing. I loved them together and the history they shared from their childhood.

I can’t wait to see what happens in book 3 after the cliffhanger that happened at the end of this book for Trace. I would strongly recommend reading The Price of Revenge (book 1) first since this series continues with the timeline from the previous book.

Ugh. I hate the drama. It’s so childish.

I hate Axel and his immaturity over Trace not telling them about Ian.
I hate Damien and his stupidity over believing he doesn’t deserve to be happy and the way he treated Jessa.
This story just doesn’t actually get better.

The SEC investigations aren’t over. There’s more skeletons coming out. First Ian, then a baby girl. What the? It’s all just very ridiculous and drawn out.

The story between Jessa and Damien wasn’t even worth having to read through all this mess. And Jessa’s family is so gross! How they can just want to use her and dump on her is ridiculous.
When Jessa first meets Damien again after all the years in between, he’s getting a BJ in his office. And her immediate thoughts are “I wish I was her.”🙄 and Damien pretty much treated her terribly and coldly but she was still all, I love him and good natured. There were times I wanted her to walk away or hang up but she just smiles and jokes and takes the abuse.

The story just isn’t enjoyable. Even Cora and Axel’s story hasn’t progressed. I’m not sure I even care to go through book 3.
Maybe I’ll skim it just to see what the end is.

I loved that the characters in this story were from Kentucky even though it takes place in New York. This book was a great "second chance" story where neither character knew how much the other really liked them in high school.
I really loved Jessa's sunshine - especially considering how much her biological family just straight up suck as human beings. This story was a great remind that although blood is literally thicker than water, it is not metaphorically. You don't owe a toxic family member anything. You deserve to have an inner circle who love and support you.
Damian is such a complex character who you both want to yell at but also just wrap up in a hug. I love how Jessa really sees him and gives him the space to be vulnerable and loved even when he tries to push her way or doesn't think he deserves it.
Of course this is riddled with angst - and I really expected a little more drama from her ex based on what we get in the beginning and TBH I would have loved to see him eviscerated by Damian. Overall - I enjoyed it!

Amazing!!
OMG! Wow! Jessa & Damien's story had me hooked from start to finish I couldn't read it fast enough desperate for the next page. They both had painful pasts but both tried to put a mask around everybody but Damien was scared to let anybody get close & kept trying to push the people who loved him away. Jessa was all smiles, bubbly, sassy, loving but her family constantly made her feel worthless & If I could of grabbed Tara out of the book I'd have given her a good slap. Both Jessa & Damien had secretly loved each other since they were children having both families grown up together but he was afraid to commit & she wanted the forever. This story had secrets, lies, deception, laughs, steam & quite a few tears & I even joined in with the tears so I'd recommend having the tissues when reading this book.
I can't wait for Trace's story.

I liked this book because the audiobook was different and the family dynamic of the fl was realistic. I did not like the ml as much after I finished the book because he was too wishy washy and didnt really ask for forgiveness hard enough.

Cons:
None of the plot points get resolved
Did Damien get convicted? Did her mom overdose?what happened to her brother? What happned to his other brother??
Slow burn and no communication
The ml starts sleeping with her then fires her when he realizes he has feelings for her.
ML is just overall annoying but he provides for her so thats nice even though he does not invest any time into her hobbies

TLDR
Plot holes, miscommunication, country accent, federal crimes and addictions. The first part of the book was too long for what the ending was but the characters were likable and the family dynamics were refreshing.

Jessa and Damian—they grew up together and had very different but tough childhoods; they were also secretly head over heels about each other but he was two years older and her brother’s best friend. He and his brothers moved to NYC and started a tech company which was very successful. She moved there several years later to get her fashion certificate. When she lost her job and her roommate moved out, she went to work for Damian’s company as his personal assistant. And the sparks that had grown dormant flamed again until they couldn’t ignore them any longer. Then the usual misunderstandings, not wanting to have any strings attached, separation, and reconciliation. The story apparently continues in the next book (not a fan of these kinds of books) but it appears that Jessa and Damian are headed for their HEA. A few editing issues but overall a compelling book.

Bad Comes With Good
Secret crush in high school on both sides rekindled after so many years. It’s hard for both to believe that it can become a reality. Damien doesn’t believe that he deserves to be happy and is afraid for the uncertain future that the Fairchild brothers are facing. But having Jessa around is giving him stability and happiness. But he still can’t believe it’s ok to live in the now and be with her. Until circumstances make her go back to Kentucky. It’s the push he needs.
A story full of family emotional manipulation against going for one’s dreams, it’s very relatable. And how far do you go in your feelings of betrayal? Who is really to blame? Difficult questions and different points of view. Captivating!

Listed to the audiobook on YouTube after finishing the book before this. Again, not my usual genre.

The narrating continues to be great.

The characters seemed much more developed and lovable than in the prior. The 4 stars has a lot to do with the characters and less so based on being a great literary work (which is part of my personal rating system).

This book picks up where the last leaves off, yet the books are written as standalones so it’s ok if you haven’t read the others. I never bothered with the first book. Interested in the book for the final brother though.

Cheese and crackers! The anxieties on 100! I'll be honest, the love story was great, but the crap storm surrounding the Fairchild brothers makes my heart race and doesn't allow me to sleep. The twist with Francis made me feel sad, but I kind of saw the writing on the wall. Uff. Can't wait to read Trace's story. I hope they have a favorable outcome with the SEC and that their brotherhood gets back on track.

This is the story of Damian and Jessa, each had/has a crush since high school. The Fairchild brothers are dealing with a Wall Street investigation and soon discover there is a new brother? Trace has a brother, Ian that Axel or Damian knew nothing about? There is tension because Trace knew and kept it from them. Damian had walls up but is fighting his attraction to Jessa.

Cute story of the grumpy office boss and peppy miss sunshine secretary. Fun twist that they grew up in the same hick town and both unknowingly secretly loved the other as kids. Definitely some really lonnnnnnggg and slow burn chapters where I wondered if it was more of a crockpot instead of instapot.
But the spicy is real.

I started listening to this book on YouTube. As I delved deeper, I couldn't help but to purchase and read since I wanted to have a complete experience. One I started reading, I could not put it down until I was done.
