Reading has always been a passion of mine. I always wanted to become an author but it was a "someday" sort of goal. In 2017, I decided to make my dream a reality and began my first book. While I enjoy nearly all fiction, historical novels particularly fascinate me.

My family and I live in Southern Utah, USA. I grew up on horseback and treasured any time I could spend riding through the red sands and sagebrush. My husband Randon and I have four children - including a set of twins. Nothing makes me happier than being a wife and mother.... but reading is a very close second!

WHAT, THEREFORE, GOD JOINED TOGETHER; LET NO MAN PUT ASUNDER

While the story is one of the Runaway Brides of the West, it will read as a stand-alone. These books are clean historical westerns. The story takes place in September 1870 when mail-order bride Verity Dalloway travels to Silver City, Idaho, to marry Thurman White. The trip was to be by stagecoach—but a life and death mishap will alter what happens.

The story will have several people boarding a stagecoach, including Verity and Roscoe Hicksome. Both of them are traveling to Silver City. During a dangerous section of the trip, they will fall under a deadly attack where Verity and Roscoe are the only survivors. It is a challenging ordeal of staying hidden, safe, and traveling forward.

I enjoyed this story and how Roscoe and Verity must work together to survive. While he has hunting and survival skills, she will have to learn many tasks to assist. One thing about it, Roscoe does what he can to protect and get Verity safely to her destination. While it won’t be something he learns until nearly there, he has fallen for her and hopes she will change her mind about marrying a stranger.

“I guess what I mean to say is, I’ve fallen for you, Miss Dalloway. I’ve fallen hard. Being your protector, companion, and friend has been so pleasant I find myself wishing to be those things for the rest of my life.”

The story is a clean historical tale with plenty of angst, danger, and survival skills to preserve along the way. I loved the faith in God that both Verity and Roscoe have—and that faith will help see them through danger and trials and make the best decisions. Sometimes, God has placed the answer in front of you, and you miss seeing it—but eventually, you realize the answer to your prayers has been there, keeping you safe, being your friend, and your future.

“Every prayer, every plea for faith, strength—love, even—had been answered in the form of a single person: God had led her to Roscoe Hicksome. It was not her place to ‘put asunder' what God had joined together. Rather, it was her greatest privilege to accept it.”

“You knew all along, Lord, you were just waiting for me to figure it out.”

Verity

What a great book. I loved it! This is Verity and Roscoe's story. A sweet, heartwarming western adventure romance. I loved the good nature and kindness of both Verity and Roscoe. And I love a book with an adventure to be had. Verity had left Louisville, Kentucky to become a mail order bride and at the age of 27, thought it was her last chance. On the stagecoach to Silver City, Idaho she meets an cowboy named Roscoe, who is also going to Silver City. When the stagecoach is robbed, and Verity and Roscoe are being pursued, they head for Silver City on their own. As they encounter numerous hardships on their journey, they become closer every day. Roscoe is everything that Verity has ever dreamed of. Kind, caring, attentive and Verity has to keep reminding herself that she has a husband waiting for her and prays that God guides her to a happy life and a decent husband. After hooking up with a wagon train and catching a stagecoach for the last leg of the trip, they finally make it to Silver City. Upon meeting her intended husband, Roscoe leaves for his brother's house and then heads home. They will never have their happily ever after, or will they? You really need to read this book to find out how their story ends. It's a great book and I think you will love it. I highly recommend this book or any book by author Krystal M Anderson.

This is a sweet and heartwarming story that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. This is Verity and Roscoe's story, and the character development is outstanding. Verity is on her way west traveling to Silver City, Idaho to become a MOB to Thurman White and while traveling via stagecoach she meets Roscoe who is also a passenger on the stage and traveling to Silver City. The stagecoach is violently robbed and Verity and Roscoe are the only remaining survivors. They band together and travel towards Silver City enduring hardships along the way. As feelings begin to develop between them, Verity vows to remain faithful to her promise to Mr. White. Upon finally arriving in Silver City, Roscoe leaves Verity with Mr. White and heads home. Will Verity marry Mr. White? Will Verity and Roscoe have a HEA? Be sure and read this great story to find out; I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

One of the passengers on the stagecoach was a handsome young man, Roscoe Hicksome. Their stage was attacked by bandits and all were murdered but got Verity and Roscoe. They pick their way through forest, flat lands, hills and find a small wagon train. They are taken as far as the Owyhee mountains and make their way to Silver Springs to meet her intended. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after.

Verity’s decision

Very enjoyable story! Except, for the life of me, I could not imagine her deciding to marry Thurman. She knew what kind of man he was. I was completely flabbergasted by her actions.

Thankfully, she woke up and realized the man who loved and cared for her was Ros 💞
He was an awesome hero!

Verity's escape

Verity and Roscoe meet on a stage and barely escape with their lives. Keeping ahead of the outlaws seeking to eliminate any witnesses makes for an exciting story.

Should Verity stay true to her word and marry Thurman White even though she has fallen in love with Roscoe during all their travels and trials together? Will Roscoe actually speak up? Verity manages well during trying circumstances. I really enjoyed this book.
