I am sure all humanity and even animals all over the world would wish to live in a better world- a world free of violence, wars, hatred, robberies, killings, racism. This was the intent of the Founder of How to Write for Success and President of CIESART, Trinidad and Tobago, Mrs. Brenda Mohammed, when she decided to formulate the Anthology, “Creating a Better World.’ This Anthology consists of interesting, thought provoking poems on Peace, Love and Humanity- exactly what we need to create a better world. The poems were written by a group of distinguished international poets and poetesses. Everyone agrees that we need a more peaceful world in which to live- a world free of warfare and filled with love. And in the words of Brenda Mohammed: ‘Crime, abuse, environmental pollution Lack of love for our brothers and sisters Selfishness, anger, jealousy, greed Will continue to produce bad seed.’ “Creating a Better World” is a book for everyone to read and not only read- but to put into daily practice. The dedication to a famous Trinidadian Author, the wonderful Preface by Lily Baylon and the impressive Foreword by Dr. Vandita Dhani are all something to be read and admired. Ms. Angie Ramsaroop did some great editing of poems and articles. Change begins with each one of us and we all need to change and guide the younger ones from a life of crime. Peace must be attained by all. “Our young and vulnerable, their innocence raw and exposed Yet, they desire discipline and structure.” How true are these words of Annette Tarpley! Please make an effort to access a copy of this book which will encourage and entice you not only to have a peaceful, loving life, but to create a better world for all. It is definitely a book worth reading and ingesting.
This book is a masterpiece. Not only for its excellent poetry and dedication to a master poet. But it also represents a group of today’s poets and writers of the future…fBk Fibby Bob Kinney
