Addison Michael writes riveting, character-driven thrillers heavy in suspense with a focus on the intriguing motivations that make a person a murderer.
Addison grew up in a home where rules were not meant to be broken. As such, she was the "goodest" of the “goody two shoes” around. At 16 years-old, she survived a deadly head-on car collision. With a twinge of survivor's guilt, she developed a morbid fascination with who lives and who dies and why.
Being the oldest of six siblings forced Addison to lead by example. Her golden reputation solidified well into her thirties. But every good girl needs to have an outlet. Behind every smile and sweet comment, there is a dark side waiting to emerge. Addison Michael found the outlet for her dark side writing thrillers. She has an uncanny ability to step outside herself and create believable characters who navigate unbelievable circumstances involving murder, mystery, secrets, and suspense.
If you like page turning, adrenaline pumping scenes with a little spice and some Law and Order…this is perfect!
Actions have consequences and a fatal car crash sets off a chain reaction. For Paige and Stephen, their world has been shattered. During the tragedy and chaos, huge life changes come for both. Relentless to find answers; Paige finds herself in a bit of a mess. But together they discover the truth and how one persons actions caused a domino effect of consequences.
This is my favorite book in this series. Paige and Steven are still looking for Anna. Thier lives are all about to change in many ways. Nothing will ever be the same for them when all is said and done. Great ending to this series.
Audiobook: This was my first experience with Addison Michael's work, and it was fascinating. Reeling from her daughter's mysterious disappearance, Paige's mind fractured. This book related Paige's journey in her recovery, and her search for her daughter. The story had some surprising twists. I admired that the author introduced some unusual mental fugues. Although I could follow the story without having read the first three books in the series, I do think that I didn't feel the emotional connection that I might have if I had read them. Mira Williams' narration was great, and her performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
This is a wonderful addition to this thrilling series! Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Such a thrilling read that I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
We finally get the conclusion of this tragic saga of Paige's life. The previous book ended with Anna being taken by Carley. Paige and Steven work tirelessly to find Anna hoping she is safe. There are many twists and turns with everything working out in the end. Mira Williams does a great job with the narration.

I couldn't put this book down. I loved it!! Great follow up to the other 3 books in the series. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. It kept me entertained.
