I love this series. For me it is a unique RH and I can only compare this series with the NOT RH Gamer Girls Series by Audryn Hadley and Kitty Cox. I like nerdy tech girls, who are really strong and flawed. Maybe because I like sciences.

I also appreciated that the series was not drawn out. Two books were perfect for this story. Any more books would just prolonged the story unnecessarily. I was a little sad that Marcos played such a big role in the lifes of Henley and the Savages, but he had so little page time. I liked the twist at the end, where we get to know why the four are attacked. I did not like Henley's Ex.

I really hope that Stella Brie will write some other series like that. I enjoyed the series and I am sad to leave this world. I will come back and and characters and a summery at some point in the future. I recommended the first book to the #cakeeaters, hope they will pick up the book!

I think I lied in my review of the first book. Having an interesting storyline isn’t enough, I need some romance 😂 I’m 20% in and this feels so platonic, which is surprising because there are 3 guys. 3 GUYS.

It’s also dragging a bit, this is very different to the first book.

Me and this book are taking a break and our future together is very unclear.

Saying that I will probably restart it in a couple of days. There are so many unanswered questions that I may have to skim through it … or I’m going to look for spoilers in other reviews 👏👏

I wanted to like it more than I did🥲

Lacked the same spark that book one had. The plot dragged in this one. There wasn’t that same cute banter between the MCs either.

Good conclusion to the first book.
I took a star off from the first books 5⭐️ because of the ending.

This one picks up shortly after the cliffhanger of Savage Traitor, where Henley's been We leave off book 1 with a gun going off and we find out how that all turns out rather quickly in book 2.

There is a lot of progression in them figuring out just what is going on/who is targeting them and I feel like it should have been more obvious given the information we were given, but the way it was given... I was honestly stumped until right before we find out who's doing what.

There's also a lot of progression with Henley and her relationships w/ Thiago, Mateo, and Grayson.
I like that it wasn't an instantaneous thing when she met them in book 1. It took a while for them to even be in the same room together, and, once they are it still takes a minute for them to acknowledge interest. I liked that they actually developed a relationship.
Also, Thiago is still my favorite. Mateo a close second... I guess Grayson is alright? Didn't really care much for him, but not because of anything he did or didn't do... he was just meh to me.

Anyways, the ending. We had all this lead up with everything going on with SEI, Henley's stalker, the deaths, all the dramas. The ending, to me, was just kind of anticlimactic.

That's just my opinion though.
I guess I just expected... more.
But it's cool. I'm only slightly perturbed.

Despite that, it was still a good read. A great read. I really liked this series? duologoy? Whatever it is... I liked it a lot.

It got even better. I absolutely didn't expect the plot twists especially the identity of the stalker. I loved the development of the relationships. The back and forth was a bit irritating. Mateo is my favourite but by the end, I loved them all equally. Opening up to each other was amazing and well-written. It was so much fun reading about the characters from Lethal Vengeance as well knowing what was gonna happen with them.

anticlimactic

I expected a big fight against the stalker that had her hiding out for ten years. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very gripping or climactic. This book was bogged down by all the technological explanations and financial explanations. I was disappointed.

Giving this 3 stars because I didn't hate it and I didn't think it was bad, but I didn't love it. It was just okay.

I felt like the characters were a little shallow and the developing relationships and romance didn't have much depth either. It made it difficult to connect to the characters (especially the Savages) and care for them. We also have a lot of secondary characters that I feel like we don't get any satisfying ties with; like Cruz.

The climax with the stalker was so underwhelming after all of the buildup we had over the series, that it just didn't hit as satisfying. The ending also felt super rushed.

This book looks to be the end of the story, so I don't really have much else to say because I feel like we're just not getting a close to the story in the way that we needed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this duology and finished it in just 2.5 days. I loved the plot and the clever moments Henley had during her espionage in the beginning. I also felt the way details are revealed paced well and kept me intrigued.

I will say that I felt the relationships were a little sidelined due to everything happening with the crimes and tech situations. But I was so interested by everything happening that I looked past that. Once the couples were together, they had more moments to deepen the relationships which helped.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend these.

“The Savages” book one -Savage Traitor and book two Savage Ruin. Of course book one ends on a cliff hanger. Lucky for you both books are published and you’re green lighted to rush from one right into the next.

Why I recommend? It’s not very often you find a heroine who is both vulnerable and kick ass. There is no doubt that Henley has some hacker skills to die for. I’m confident you’ll be rooting for her as well when she finally able to overcome the pain from her past.

Not sure how I feel about this one. The entire story dragged so much and there was alot of unnecessary conversations, explanations, and other things I ended up skimming a good amount. The ending with the enemies were so cheesy and unrealistic. Everything was just tied up nicely in s bow and worked out. I didn't really feel the spark of their relationship or their love. Sad to say I didnt really enjoy it.

The second book doesn't get better than the first, I would even say a little more boring. It is a mish mash of villains and situations, but they didn't make the story more exciting.
There is more spice, but the relationships still feel flat and with no chemistry.

Please note that this review is for the completed duet, not the individual books.

I didn't think Stella Brie could get any better after I read the first three books in the Killian Blade series, but this time, I am thrilled to be wrong. The Savages Duet proves to be a master class on weaving romance, intrigue, action, and spice into a story that kept me enthralled to the very end.

This story reads like a mafia thriller. It has all the danger from car chases to kidnappings to the ultimate justice for those who were wronged. But the best part is that it ISN'T a mafia romance. While not entirely innocent, the heroes are business men who are not remotely related to organized crime. It is brilliant because there is no map telling you what to expect, and I love, absolutely adore, a book or series that surprises me.

Henley, the heroine, will tug at your heartstrings from the very beginning with her solitary, lonely existence. It is so immensely gratifying to see her grow into a confident woman who owns her life and takes on the world. Each of her guys has his own issues to overcome, and the way the all four characters bolster and support each other is such a delight.

Even with all of the wonderful things I want to say about this duet, I feel it is essential to ask that you please don't skip the Author's Note at the beginning of the book. It includes some very important potential triggers due to the abuse, stalking, and violence experienced by the characters throughout the story. Mental health is important, so please read responsibly.

Great conclusion

This 2 book series was fantastic. The first book is non-stop suspenseful action and getting to know the Santos men and Hensley.

Book 2 picks up a couple days after the cliffhanger and let’s the reader catch their breath a little bit. In this book the suspense shifts into a lower gear while the relationships between Hensley and the men begins to boil. Once the steam starts, hold on and have a fan handy because the connection between Hensley and Matteo, Thiago and Grayson is scorching hot.

I loved how Hensley adapts to living out in the world and interacting physically with people, almost entirely men, but no longer virtually. She grows as a character over these two books and I absolutely LOVE her. The balance between steamy sexy times and figuring out who is out to get the Santos men, Hensley and the new tech is deftly handled. The sizzling attraction and developing relationships have some stumbling blocks that trip up the characters, but nothing the is exceptionally angsty - enough to have a reader gulp or gasp, but not so much you want to toss your kindle across the room.

I’m excited to read the spin-off book, Lethal Vengeance, about Zane, Cruz and Raider. These guys were so supportive, caring and generally awesome with Hensley I can’t wait to see more of them.

I am definitely a fan of Stella Brie and her writing style!

This was a 4.5 star read that I rounded up. I really wish this story could go on!

I love strong real FMC. So much of the time main female characters are written to be bad a$$es when they really aren't. Henley has trauma but she has used it to make herself strong and independent. I love that she doesn't really need Matteo, Grayson and Thiago but she fits them into her life because she wants to. She didn't change for them and she didn't suddenly become a damsel in distress because she found herself with 3 strong men. I wish more FMC were like her.

I really wish we'd gotten to know the guys better. I mean, I'd be happy to find myself in compromising positions with them but I'm not sure I really "know" them. I appreciate that they treated Henley like an equal. They trusted her. They never tried the "we're the men, we'll take care of it" crap.

I expected most of the ending but there were still a couple surprises.

I really hope Stella Brie continues to write outside what seems to be the most popular tropes. I love that Henley was a hacker. I love that I haven't read 50 other books that just had different character names. And I can't wait to read Zane's story!!

Fantastic

So, obviously book one was great too or I wouldn’t have read this one. This author is new to me. I didn’t think I would enjoy her other books but if the FMCs are like this one I’m sure I will. Henley has emotions that you feel with her but, to my mind they focus on the important stuff like her stalker, life changes, catching the bad guys in the only way she can. I love that we don’t get sucked into relationship drama. Is there romance? Yes. Did these books move me? Definitely. Was there girl drama/crying over whether the guys wanted her? Nope! 💗. Don’t get me wrong, she wanted things to work out but there was absolutely no sniveling on her end, she was accepting of their decisions. I’m not sure that I’m explaining this right. I very much enjoyed these men, though with other author’s usual writing style I most definitely wouldn’t have enjoyed Greyson. I did in these books though. There’s so much going on in addition to romance…action, mystery, vengeance, and death (be aware in case it is a no go for you). Give these books a try, I hate that they’re over.

So happy this was only a two book series. So many times they get dragged out.
Things move quickly and get wrapped up. I really appreciate that. Some may not like the end of the stalker but to me it seemed very realistic.

I reread book 1 prior to this to remember what happened (I wish authors would put a couple pages of review at the beginning that I could read or skip) and it was as good as the first time I read it.

This book seems a bit heavier on the RH, which is to be expected. I suppose the only thing I am a bit ambivalent about is her relationship with Grayson and Thiago. Mostly Thiago. I don't quite buy his joining the RH. Mateo seems like her perfect match. Grayson has issues that make him look for a sharing situation. I just don't feel the reasoning behind Thiago. But....it's ok the books are good enough I can let that go.

I highly recommend this series.

I really enjoyed book 1 and in my head even compared it to Blake Black's work, which I love. This book though just didn't have that spark that book 1 had. The fun banter, gone & the story seemed to drag. I get this was a slow burn duet but, for me, it was more like a no burn. There are 3 MMCs & up to this point in the duet we get: 1) Thiago & Henley shared two very simple brief unromantic kisses both instigated by her. 2) Grayson: a strange angry peak by him at her underwear at the masked charity gala w/ a side of OW drama plus some weird thing about his need to rub sunscreen on her. 3) Mateo: the most action w/ a few kisses, caresses & one fingering in the ocean. That's it, I don't feel the chemistry between ANY of the MMCs & Henley. I felt there was more chemistry between Zane, Sterling, Cruz & Henley.

I loved these books. We pick up right where we left off in Savage Traitor. This book dives more into our guys feelings for Henely and how they each are growing together and in their relationships. Henely is coming into her own even more and she is making the life choices she always felt she couldn't while hiding as a ghost. We see her bloom into even more of a bada** who will do everything to protect those she loves and get her life back.

This book had twists where I thought I knew who the baddies were and boom - Stella Brie does it again and makes you go - oh wait.

Loved where this ended and how our main characters become even more of a family. I hope to see more of these characters. They were great to read.

If you enjoy new tech, fin-tech (NFTs), and other innovations that could make the world a better place (Can we get a real life SEI and CJ Tech?) this is for you.

I call this slow burn. Good amount of spice, but the story is around our characters and what they need to do make their life all they want.

I has to reread book one to get all the names and plot twist fresh again, but oh my, does book 2 pick up the pace. It's both action packed as well as turning up the steam. Ill never call it a spicy book, but the relationships feel real and that's more important for me. I hoped to see more of Zane's team but it becomes quickly clear that their attention is elsewhere (spin off book??). A shame because you can never have too many men. That being said, there are enough plotlines that need resolving in this book and the author does not disappoint. Thieves who don't shy away from killing, a stalker growing more obsessed and deadly, the mafia cleaning up the trash - all are involved to make their lives more difficult.

Savage Ruin by Stella Brie is the second and final book in The Savages Series. This book picks up right where book one left off. Henley has been found and is recovering at the hospital. In the first book there was action right from the start. This one was at a slower pace - a lot more online searching and trying to figure out who the stalker is. Thiage, Grayson, and Mateo all work well together to figure out
who Henley's stalker is. Great story. Hope Mitch is ok! Happy everything worked out and Henley got her men. Saude!
No cheating. No bullying. Some TW to watch out for.

I am a huge fan of The Killian Blade series so when I noticed a new series by the same author I got excited. Though I am not a big lover of contemporary RH, I do love brilliant FMCs especially of the hacker variety. This duet did not disappoint. I was sucked into the plot immediately. The perfect pacing kept me engaged and the super intelligent FMC made it a fun read. The guys were great but honestly the plot was more integral to my enjoyment of this story than the romance. I highly recommend this duet. I will be eagerly waiting for this author's next series!!

Better than book 1, and it was actually refreshing to see how the relationships between Henley and the Santos men worked out. They were organic and didn’t feel contrived (it reminded me of how the why choose aspect of the book Give Me Peace went - which also had a stalker aspect, come to think of it). The pace was just as relentless as book 1, and the thriller aspect was maintained as well. Lots of deceptions (and how the villains all came together was a tad too convenient, but it made for a good story).

Great follow up!

This book was explosive from start to finish. The intensity, action, twists and turns, and steaminess increased but the pacing was still well done, that the plot never felt rushed or left the reader missing crucial information. I loved seeing the relationship between the main harem evolve. We learn more about each of them and I felt like they all truly complemented each other well. This book was definitely an enjoyable conclusion to the storyline. I hope we learn more about certain secondary characters.

intriguing and addictive

I loved Henley and her men. The technology aspects of this were really interesting and I was unable to put the books down.

I have loved all of Stella Brie’s books and picked this series up without even looking at the summary because she wrote it. I was not disappointed. Cannot wait for her next books and will probably do a reread of her other two series.

This duet was really good. I liked the whole idea behind it. The technology, business, all it, it was really cool and intriguing.

I did expect more from this book though. For more action and excitement. Even the ending was kind of underwhelming.

I feel like Mateo disappeared a bit in this book and Thiago and Greyson were more the focus.

Overall it was a really interesting ready and I enjoyed it.

Duet Review

I loved the first book. The pace was amazing and the fmc awesome.

The second book wasn’t as great. Too focused on relationships and the fmc fierceness really took a step back in my opinion.

Oh she had her moments but was more emotional. Also the pacing was slower. I kept getting bored and doing mundane things like cleaning which not something I usually do when reading.

Wow…this book is a fantastic read. It kicks off right where book one finished but in this book we get more of the characters together. What I enjoyed is that Henley’s relationship moved at all different levels with Mateo, Greyson and Thiago. Greyson and Henley’s being the slowest and most difficult due to their disturbing pasts. We also get a lot from the supporting characters in this book…but I really wanted more about Cruz, I felt he was rushed out of the book a little. However, I can see a book in the future with Cruz, Zane, Stirling and Raider (well I hope so anyway!). This book has pure moments of gold..I loved the idea behind the technology and the good that they do to help but then I thought some moments could have been fleshed out more, but overall this book is epic. It was impossible to put down and I was drawn into the characters as they came alive through the pages. I have to admit Thiago is my favourite but all three bring something unique to Henley and I really felt the story had a lot of depth but I would also love to see a little follow up story of these characters are s few years later. This is definitely a series I will happily read again, it is full of drama, mystery, steam, danger and twists and turns, all things I love in a book.

Most stories take up three books and then I don’t have the patience to read the last one because I have to stay in the same ‘world’ for too long. This story ends in this second book and it was great. Less incomprehensible tech talk and more closeness to the guys made it better then then the first book.
