I was lucky enough to read an ARC copy and OH. MY. GOODNESS. If you thought book one was amazing and had you on your toes? JUST WAIT. The beginning of the book captivates you right away but it just gets better and better and you won’t be able to put it down. It has everything you want… magic, budding romance, deceit, ACTION. AHH it’s so good. Beware of simping ahead! GO READ 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

This book was even better than the first! I just keep wanting more and more of this series! We don't miss anything that happens since this one picks up right after book one and I loved that! This one is just as face passed as book with a little more romance. Again Amara and Avery are a dynamic duo for twins. Polar opposites but what one lacks the other succeeds making them the perfection combo for battle when their hands are connected!

This book had me sad happy and at certain parts very angry but I wont reveal those moments cause their major spoilers. I love that fact that I just keep wanting more of this book and I can't wait to see what happens next after the cliffhanger we had!!

I am so lucky to have the opportunity to be an ARC reader for book 2 in the Twingenuity series.
The Heir of Magic and Moonlight kept me on my toes the entire time!

Suspect everyone, and trust no one LOL.
Amara and Avery continue to learn more about themselves than they ever thought possible as they try to piece together the mystery of what is happening at the castle.

This was such a fun read. It is action-packed and has just the right amount of sweet moments for you to fall in love with.

and the CLIFF HANGER!!!!!!

This was such a good book!! I really had a hard time doing anything besides reading it. I loved every page. There was action, suspense, romance, sarcasm, and tears…oh the tears. The character growth for some of the characters was awesome! I did not see the ending coming at all! I loved it and everyone should read this series! Can not wait for book 3

I’m not ready to talk about Ben. 😭😭😭

Couldn’t put it down!!!

I loved this book from start to finish. Listening to the audiobook made it so easy for me and the narrator did a great job. I was hooked from the beginning and was left wondering what happens next by the end of the book. Couldn’t recommend enough!!! Can’t wait to start the third book in the series.

"I believe there is a mole within the castle. Whoever it is must be working with the Shadow Lord and may even be using the same kind of magical gifts you possess."

The Heir of Magic and Moonlight is the second instalment in the YA Fantasy series, Twingenuity that follows twin sisters (and royalty) Amara and Avery as they are faced with a much larger threat than they've ever knew, both from within and outside the kingdom of Soluna.

This book does provide a nice recap of the story before you dive in which I really appreciated as the story leaps onwards as see as you start the prologue. Similar to the previous book, I found I really enjoyed Avery's story. She felt relatable and her stream of consciousness as she's dealing with all these outside forces was a pleasure to read. She grapples with quite a bit in this book and it definitely builds her characters. Also, her and Xander...I just need them to become official. They are SO CLOSE! You can just see the thread dangling and I just grin gleefully whenever they are together.

He came up behind me and slowly glided his fingers down my arms...he raised our arms, holding the sword out in front me of. Xander moved even closer, pressing his chest against my back...
"Is this what you wanted?" His head lowered as he whispered in my ear.
"Maybe," I breathed.
"Well, it's not very practical."

Now Amara is a character I still struggle to connect with. She reminds me a little of Zale from Across the Scattered Sea in terms of her set up. I realize now a lot of her set up in the previous book led to a very crucial point in this book but I didn't really connect with it. I also find Amara's sound just a little too similar in colloquialism and thoughts as Avery which is incongruent with her backstory.

In terms of story and plot, there's a lot more going on this book that kept the pace going pretty well. I was easily able to consume this in a single evening. There's prophecies, demonic powers, and special abilities flourishing in this one that shows there is so much more at play. I love the balance of action and plot and the variety we get with the story as we enter both a fantasy world and the real world. There are some pretty big twists in the book and the cliffhanger is painful!

Overall, I found this book to be an enjoyable read with some excellent characters, action, budding powers, a sweet romance blossoming, and some amazing twists to keep you on your toes. I am definitely interested to see what happens next...and I demand more Avery and Xander!

This novel was an absolute treat to read from beginning to end and I would highly recommend it for the young and young at heart alike. The first installment ended on quite a cliff hanger and the second one jumps right back in where it left off. The detailed visual descriptions help the reader really become transported to this fantasy world and without giving too much away there is a plot in the thick of it that is so well done, we're left questioning what is actually reality vs illusion until it unravels in the most disconcerting way. The fantasy elements were so intriguing and kept me eagerly reading through to see what would happen next. The characters and their relationships with one another were so well developed, it made it easy to forget they were fictional, you felt like you really connected with them. There was an natural ease and cohesive flow that allowed me to submerse myself completely into the kingdom of Soluna and because the book ends on another cliff hanger, I will be impatiently waiting for the 3rd installment to see where life goes next for the twins Amara and Avery and all of their friends.

Okay so the beginning of this was killer 😅 I was so confused and I LOVED it! It all came together though and then it was a fast, bumpy ride throughout. I loved the multiple POV bc I love Xander and hearing more of his side was awesome. The ending had me sweating though 🥴 I’m super curious about book 3 and where the magic will take us!

•enemies to lovers
•friend’s betrayal

I enjoyed this book a lot. I personally found the first book to be a little slow and I couldn’t really get into it. This one has a lot more going on towards the plot. There were still parts that felt like filler and didn’t add anything. Overall I think this book changed my mind about the series and got me invested in the series

The 2nd book is amazing 👏🏻 😍
I was very blessed to have reviewed a ARC copy of this book.
There is a plot twist at the end that I was not ready for and the cliffhanger too! This story is so good and very well written. I also liked that we got to read Avery, Amara, and Xander POV's as I was nervous about it at first. The chapters are very easy to ready still and I continue to enjoy this series very much. And wait to see what happens next 👀

I absolutely loved this book. It's fast-paced, action packed and kept you turning the pages to find out what happened next. I stayed up to an ungodly hour finishing it because I couldn't put it down. I would definitely recommend The Heir of Magic and Moonlight, and Book 1 in the series, A Kingdom of Sun and Shadow, to anyone looking for a fun, addictive new read.
