Could you survive if you lost all that you loved twice? Toothpick
I had it all once.
Until I screwed it up.
I let my future slip through the crack in an effort to protect her.
Then spent the rest of my life searching for the woman who disappeared in the dead of night.
Years later, she shows up in my clubhouse seeking protection.
Not for us to slay her enemies - so she can slay them herself.
I’m drawn to her like a moth-to-a-flame.
But this isn’t the woman I once knew.
Darkness dwells in her heart, plunging us into the flames that will force us to rebuild in the ruins of what could have been.
Although now, she has a secret.
One that will destroy me.
Billie-Jo
I loved him once.
Before he broke me.
So I made him the villain of my story.
Imprisoned by my betrothed, there’s only one choice.
Escape life in hell, flee the man I detest and return to a town I’d left behind.
Used in ways a woman should never be familiar with and harboring more than enough secrets to fill a skull, I return home with the one I was protecting most and nothing is the same.
We both have to learn to navigate the lies of our past and attempt to bridge the rift we can’t seem to overcome.
The monsters will still hunt me. Even behind the protection of the ruthless Kings Wolves.
They won’t stop until I put an end to this.
Because if I don’t belong to the one I was forced to marry, I belong to no one…

Oh my goodness, this book is frikken amazing, and I can't get enough. This entire book was one hell of a ride from start to finish. This has fast become my favourite of the series!
This book is different from the rest as this one follows Toothpick (Kolt) and Rook (Billie), who dated while in high school instead of him finding her like the rest of his brothers did with their ol ladies.
Eleven years ago, she left for the safety of Kolt and the club, but she is nobody's fool. I don't want to spoil this for anyone because you need to experience this book for yourself.
I screamed and squeeled and got so mad at parts of this book, but in a good way. TK is a sassy little kid, and I love him so much, haha. He reminds me of someone 😉😉 I love all the struggles and love and happiness that is in this book, and I will for sure be re reading this book again.
The twists and turns in this book sent me for a loop, but oh my goodness, Emma knows how to write! I will 100% be patitioning for the next book to come out asap haha.
I was hesitant reading this because I hate second chance romances! After a reassuring convo with the author I decided to read Toothpicks story and I’m so glad I did!! Toothpick was a great H, stupid for what he did as a teenager, but totally loyal to his Rook🥰 He never stopped looking for her after he broke her heart. He did try to fix things but it was too late. Now 11 years later his Rook appears at their doorstep needing protection for her and her 11 year old son…she was forced into a marriage by her father and the crap she went through all those years broke my 💔 This girl may have suffered but she sure planned out her revenge and the twists were🫣 She is a total badass!! Toothpick and Rook have to learn to trust each other again, but it doesn’t take much because they are true soulmates. I did want to slap Toothpick a few times. T.K. may only be 11yr old but this kid could hold his own…no OW drama at all🙌🏻
First I have to say I wish the Author stayed with one name or maybe two at most for the Heroine. Ok So bullied no has several names... Billie-Jo, Billie, BJ, Rookie, Rooks, princess in mafia term, Little Devil. How many did she really need? That I fond excessive and confusing.
Anyway Toothpick and her were high school lovers, after 11 years, A lot of back stabbing, abuse, and lies they find their way back to each other.
I feel like every review I say the same thing. EMMALEIGH HAS DONE IT AGAIN. These books keep getting better and better.
I love TK, Billie-Jo, and Toothpick. These books aren’t like the others where the heroine is outright blood thirsty and cray cray (in a good way). Billie-Jo is a mastermind. Seeing her plan come together in a well thought out plot, is mind boggling.
I LOVED TK’s chapters. I wasn’t expecting to see his POV but I’m glad it was included. Seeing what he really thought and was dealing with made the story have that much more depth.

I don’t really know how I feel about this book. I wanted to love it. The twists and turns in the plot were good. I honestly think it was the characters that let me down here.
Let’s start with the heroine Billie… or one of her other thousand nicknames in this book. I loved her mastermind and the plan she rolled out. But at the same time too I just found her exhausting. So many lies and secrets. She was definitely a strong heroine to go through what she did but I found the reasoning for the split a little weak. He came to her minutes after sending the break up text (which I’ll get to shortly) and said he was wrong and she’s carrying on like a fool over it. I also don’t feel the situation she was forced given she was going to run away until she got that text.
The text. Okay WTF was he thinking. Seriously he’s all “you’re it for me, me and you forever” in one sentence then he’s a Wolf no longer a prospect and it’s a “sorry mate but we’re done” type situation? Like what? THEN a minute later he’s like “what have I done”… whiplash much?
Toothpick as a character I found a little annoying in the earlier books but outside of his inability to make a freaking decision about her and the kid had me pulling hair out. Way too wishy washy for someone who is supposed to be all man and a possessive alpha hole. Doesn’t add up.
The kid. Okay this kid needs some discipline. He was borderline bratty most of the book. I get what the author way trying to do all tongue in cheek he’s just like his parents a little psycho, but for me it missed the mark and he just came across as a little shit.
And the ending. Seriously. Splitting the club? Why? How is that going to achieve anything. It just seems dumb.
And add into the mid the spice level was way lower than the first few. I was thinking at least I had that to look forward to, until I didn’t.

I waited so long to read this mostly because I was a little scared of the tragic separation and all that happened before they would be reunited. Thankfully, the separation was not a very big part of the story, only the first handful of chapters to set the story up. This book is full of pain and suffering as are all the 3 before it, this book was probably the least traumatic of the 4 so far but thats not really saying too much because if you have read them then you know they are hectic. The ending felt a little strange with all the weird rooms and stuff, I might have prefered just a regular showdown when Johnny tried to make the deal with the Cartel, but I had to expect more from the author based of the previous books. This really has been a great and honestly very memorable MC series. One i would absolutely recommend time and time again for anybody who is looking for something wildly dark and triggery but with possessive and CRAZY male leads and strong but damaged female leads. Great story, I can't wait for Doc, i chose not to read the first chapter of his book (at the end of toothpick) I did this at the end of book 3 and read the first chapter of toothpicks before it was released and it freaking killed me, and was the reason i left it so long to begin it lol. I will wait for Doc to be released.
I love TK, I love Toothpick and I really liked BJ too. This one is a bit different than the other stories. While the h isn’t as outwardly blood thirsty like Adley, Karisa and Maleia, she’s no less vicious and definitely a wolf in sheep’s clothes. This is a second chance romance and has a lot of pieces moving in the background. The only thing that I disliked about this story was the ending, ONLY because I don’t want to wait to see what happens. It’s not bad, doesn’t ruin the story and I don’t hate it, I’m just impatient and need instant gratification and to know what’s going to happen next. While TP and BJ’s story is done at the end, I personally still consider it a cliffhanger.
I can’t wait for Doc’s story, and honesty, I feel like there’s something between A few of the other characters too, but I don’t want to spoil it. 🤔
Stars: 4 POV: multiple HEA?: yes OW/OM Drama: yes Cheating: no Cliffhanger?: for the couple no. Series: yes TW: SA, child abuse, gore Tropes: second chance, MC, secret baby, mafia, high school sweethearts, forced marriage.
I received and ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Toothpick lost his future and has spent the last few years of his life searching for her again. And suddenly she appears at the doors of clubhouse, seeking protection so that she can have her revenge. Billie Jo is no longer the woman Toothpick once knew, but he drawn to her regardless. Running from an ex and a bad past, getting her to trust him is a near insurmountable task, but he's up for that challenge if it means keeping her.
Another fantastic book added to the Kings Wolves MC series! I wasn't expecting to get a story for Toothpick, but I am so glad that the author chose his story! Him and Billie Jo have a tumultuous relationship, and she has more trauma than he can understand, but they both manage to work things out together. I didn't expect him to be the growls "she's mine, touch her and die" type person, but I'm definitely not mad about it!
The plot of each book in this series always keeps you invested and Toothpick's story actually kept me even more invested. I wanted to see how he and Billie Jo (and really the rest of the mc) handled her situation with her ex, and I was routing for her to get some help with her traumas.
Finally, Toothpick's story!!! This whole entire series has been 🔥💯👌. Once again, the author knocked it out of the park with my favorite MC of Psychos. I don't want to spoil things, but I will say you will want to read this. Kolt really had his world rocked by Billie-Jo. These two were definitely soulmates. Billie was definitely a perfect fit with the other fmc's in the King's Wolves series. The things she set in motion and dealt with to protect those she called family was freaking awesome. There were some new characters introduced that i hope to see more of in the next book. Can't say who they are, so there are no spoilers. However, I was pleasantly surprised by a certain someone's pov chapters. They definitely stole the show. Stitch still holds the number one spot for me but this new person nearly takes it from him. I really hope they eventually get their own book. As always the events in these books are dark so check your triggers, but I mentioned before I highly recommend reading this book and the entire series.
Second chance romances aren’t always my favourite genre. This one had twists and turns aplenty. Some of which I saw coming and some that I certainly didn’t.
I feel as though Rookie should have trusted Toothpick more. After all, he came right back to her after he sent that messaged apologised. She was the one who took off and did everything behind the scenes. And kept his son from him.
Yes she was doing it all to protect him. But I do think he was totally justified in being upset with her.
As for little TK! I hope I’m the future he gets his own book when he is grown up because boy oh boy that eleven year old has some spunk!
✔️ Second Chance ✔️ Secret pregnancy ✔️ MC Romance ✔️ Dark (Hella Dark) ✔️ OTT J/P MMC ✔️ Spicy ✔️ V!olence
Gah - Toothpick had me in a chokehold. Such a dark and emotional read. I sympathised with both characters - Billie-Jo, for believing she had no other option than to invite the Devil into her life, and Toothpick (Kolt) for being foolish, and for taking a misstep that meant he lost the love of his life, for over a decade.
The Kings Wolves MC is one of the darkest MC romance series I’ve ever read, and Toothpick sure measures up to its predecessors. Kolt exudes that ‘touch her and die’ vibe, and Billie-Jo, well she’s as bad-ass as they come. And don’t even get me started on the preciousness that is TK, a perfect little psycho in the making.
Great read - with a jaw-dropping epilogue that’s left me wanting more!
I’ve been excitedly waiting for this addition to the game Kings Wolves series and it did not disappoint! Toothpick and Billie-Jo are absolutely fantastic together! Their relationship has been years in the making - despite not always being together. I loved Billie-Jo as the FMC; she may be looking for protection, but she’s not a damsel in distress and she’s out for blood. Toothpick (Kolt) has always been one of my favourites in this MC series. He’s brash, brazen and a little unhinged. These two are explosive together. I really enjoyed getting back in to the Kings Wolves MC and seeing so many familiar characters and where they are now. This was an intense, steamy and action packed story. I devoured this book.
Wow, that just happened! This is a Helluva ride, I was definitely on an emotional roller coaster!! Billie Jo, Gahh how much can one person go through and come back from?! Strength personified!! Oh and there is some spicy spice time! This will tap All your feels and whooaa baby… Hang On Tight, I’m talking seat belt, duct tape, or straight jacket.lol This is a standalone (while it’s a part of a series, You can get everything you need in this crazy, amazing read) Buttt… I suggest reading them , Cuz Yhea their that good!! Seriously though, This is a DEFINITE MUST READ!!! Don’t miss out on this hot gem!! Annnd Remember tooo… hang on tight!!!
King Wolfs MC Toothpick and his Rooks….. When I first discovered this series it was recommended to me by a wonderful friend of mine. So i read all the ones that were out and preordered the next one’s. And here I am totally 💯 flipped Damn , I can’t decide if I want to say how I was surprised or if Emmaliegh is totally 💯 genius in the way I didn’t see that coming 🤦🏻♀️ Seriously if I thought the women were freaking AWESOME before I’m left dumb founded ….me of all people huh 😏😬and so many new people, twists, crazies, don’t get me wrong the Hotness is still there LOVED IT ! But Can it get better after this ???? Sitting here biting me nails…… Sassy Pants Letti 😈💋
This is a standalone in an inner connected series, and should be read in order. Stitch is a top boyfriend, but this book is hands down my favorite of the series! The pain, the heartache, the terror you feel for Billie Jo and what she goes through as a woman, and a mom is felt through the pages! This woman is one of the strongest female main characters I’ve seen, as well as the smartest. There’s so much action, and so many twists and turns I never saw coming and had me on the edge of my seat throughout the book! There’s also some very smexy scenes with a dirty talking hot biker! The epilogue had me screaming and wanting to throw my kindle across the room, so be prepared! 🖤MC series 🖤Second chance Romance 🖤 Surprise parenthood 🖤 Touch her and 💀 🖤 Revenge
Emmaleigh Loader is a QUEEN! These MC boys that she’s created are absolutely out of this world! The Kings Wolves hold a very special place in my heart. Toothpick is no different. I love him with all his faults, through all his possessive, alpha shenanigans. I also love that his poking is a familial trait.
Toothpick and Billie Jo have so much to work through. Add on a crazy ex, a cartel and every other danger that comes with being part of the Kings Wolves MC and you are in for the ride of your life!
I have patiently been waiting to read Kolt aka Toothpick story and let me just tell you this book did not disappoint. Right from the beginning, I was ropped in the storyline that was filled with lots of angst and twists and turns I did not see coming! The two main characters are perfect for one another, one unhinged and the other nobodies victim.I loved that we got to see the other members of the King's Wolves MC and where their stories have taken them. I highly recommend this whole series and can't wait to read the next one
I went into this book blind, except knowing that it’s MC based. It is so well written, just when you think there could be no more plot twists and it will all be good, you get hints that Billie Jo indeed has more under her sleeve. It’s definitely one of the second chances stories which is dark and exciting the whole time.
Also Epilogue, can we talk about that? It literally broke my heart and now I need to know what and how this will play out. I was just sat there staring at the wall trying to process what was said 😳
Toothpick: Kings Wolves MC book 4 (king’s wolves MC 5)
I love this author’s kings wolves Mc series. This book focus on Toothpick and Billie-Jo. They were high school sweethearts, but were separated by her abusive father and forced into a relationship with a mafia family. After many years later, Billie-Jo asked for sanctuary with the Kings Wolves MC. Their are many twist and turns to this novel. Tooth pick finds out that he has a son with Billie-Jo . The book ends in a cliffhanger with Savage decisions about the MC separations.
I still have chills running up and down my back even hours after finishing this book I still can't stop thinking about it. My emotions feel like a ping pong ball being smacked back and forth and it's a helluva feeling. It's hard to put into the right words just how much the main characters are going to burrow into your heart and take up most it's room, but that's what's going to happen while reading their story.
Emmaleigh Loader keeps surprising me. You think it is impossible to surpass the last book and then she releases something like Toothpick. There are not enough words to describe Toothpick, and this series in general, so I will just use wow and amazing. Toothpick, Savage and the entire gang has made it into my top 5 of favorit series, and I am already planning a re-read of them.
Toothpick dumped her and Billie Jo was forced to move on with someone she hates. Years later she is back and with someone else who needs protection. Now Toothpick haa a chance to get the love he lost back. They are all fighting the same enemies but he does not realize how deep her love goes and the extent in what she will do to protect the ones she love.
OMG, and I thought Savage, Ouija and Stitch had my ❤️, now I have to add Toothpick to the mix, mind, I might of known it really, those King's Wolves guys know how to burrow deep into your ❤️. This is a dark story but oh so beautiful, Billie Jo and Toothpick are great characters, couldn't put this down.
This is Toothpick's and Billie-Jo's story that proved to be anything but traditional. The couple met in high school and soon fall apart. It isn't until years later, they reunite and set the world ablaze.
Billie-Jo is the FMC in this book and I absolutely love a bad*** FMC and she definitely brings it!
Another amazing addition to the series. My heart broke for them as a young couple and celebrated the reunion. And that kid!?! I love the while club. STITCH is still my fave but I gotta say that Toothpick was my favorite story. The action scenes could be in s movie. So well written, I felt like I was watching as I read. Gritty, dark, hopeful and triumphant. EPIC LOVE STORY, MC style.
I just don’t know how in the world this author comes up with better and better storylines. She literally blew this book out of the water and I am completely stunned. This story was like layer upon layer that you to peel back like an onion and it was amazing. I loved everything about the story except maybe the very end. Still if I could give it 10 stars I would.
4.5 stars! Another fantastic, violent, super spicy installment in the Kings Wolves MC series! We get Toothpick’s second chance in this one, and for as dark, twisted, and violent, it is equally, and oddly enough, heart meltingly sweet.
As has been the case with this entire series, the women in these books are no wilting flowers. They are as dark and violent as the men who dare to love them. Whether it be through nature or nurture, these women more than hold their own against not only the darkness that comes for them, but the darkness that lives in the men they love. Billie Jo is part of the mafia world, so the darkness is no secret, and when their young love is exploded out from beneath them, Toothpick and Billie Jo take different paths, but never are far from each other’s thoughts.
She’s forced into an unwanted and abusive arranged marriage by her father, and disappears, leaving Toothpick wondering and always searching for his lost love. When things go to far for her, Billie Jo runs from her abusive marriage and unwanted life, and seeks out the only people she believes will be able to not only protect her, but also help her get her revenge. Meanwhile, despite his MC brothers each in turn finding love, Toothpick has resigned himself that he screwed up and lost the only woman he would ever love when he was eighteen. But when she shows up at his door asking for help, every possible emotion runs through his veins, but the strongest is the love that he never let go. He never expected, though, for her to have an eleven year old son in tow, who looks uncannily like himself. And that son, while completely adorable, is also very bloodthirsty. I loved this addition, and we even get a few chapters from his POV, which I found interesting and a nice touch.
This book is full of action of all kinds. Bloody and violent, dark and dirty, you name it, it’s here. And we continue to get the strong brotherhood of the MC, all hands on deck to help Billie Jo and her son, from both the men and the women. The camaraderie and banter in these books is always great, and the spice never disappoints. If you like your romances dark, dirty, and very violent (in every way), this one is going to be right up your alley.
I always enjoy reading Emmaleigh's writing and this book renews that enjoyment. The eye catchy covers is holding a book of pleasure. Packing details left and right with feels intertwined. I highly reccommand reading it as well as the series.
Toothpick is book four in the Kings Wolves MC series and is Toothpick and Billie Jo's book. This book is such a wild and unpredictable ride. From beginning to end this book had me in its grip. I can't wait to read more.
So many emotions while reading this one. I really enjoyed these characters and their story. They go through so much that would break any other person. I’m so glad I was able to read this one. They’re great characters and the writing is amazing.
