Rival enemies and TAC Ops Special agents Thomas Blake and Nova Dean are thrown together as they go undercover to gather information on a sex trafficking ring in Greater Manchester, England. Sounds easy, right?... far from it. Being forced to put your trust in the person who you loathe the most can be an extremely difficult and dangerous situation, especially when Nova has an unhealthy habit of breaking rules and pushing those boundaries that Thomas has put in place for her. See, Thomas Blake loves to be in control; his world is disciplined and organised while Nova’s is messy and boring... his words. He is uncomfortably outspoken, strong-minded and annoyingly handsome. He also prides himself upon his appearance. Those flashy tailored suits alongside his perfectly combed back hair would have you fooled; right up to the point he’s rolling out of your bed, not remembering your damn name. Luckily for Nova, when it comes to Agent Blake, she can see straight through those smouldering eyes and into his bottomless pit of bullshit. H ostility. A nger. T olerance. E nemies. Be prepared to be blown away as secrets and lies unravel to leave you asking yourself just one vital question... Can you really trust the enemy?
The plot was great. Partsnof the banter was Cheesy at times and this entire book could use a Grammer/spelling check.. I really wanted it to flow smoother... also fyi has a trigger for suicide attempt. I almost DNF but I'm glad I did as the story line got very interesting towards the end.
Amazing debut! A British enemies-to-lovers, romcom. Thomas is a possessive grumpy alpha with HUGE women issues, and is laugh out loud funny! Nova is clever and headstrong and (thinks) she is three steps ahead of Thomas. Ending, I really loved. - SUPERHEROS DO EXIST! - 'Bucket full's' of sexual tension,(pun intended) - Slow burn for smut, but well worth the wait. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Some triggers (suicide, kidnap, attempted rape).
Disappointed. Plot was absolutely amazing, plot twists even better. Spelling…… only showing 1 example; “Your a cunt” no. YOU’RE*. Lead up to spice was great until it was shot down by a predictable interruption or lack of detail between MMC & FMC.
Loved the story. The author was able to reflect the emotions between the two main characters very well. The chapter where Nova is in the locked room... honestly is the best thing I've ever read. Keep up the good work.
I LOVE the enemies to lovers! I definitely had some typos that I had to work around, but I just read it and moved past it! I’m not going to let something like that affect the way I feel of a great book! It was a slow burn at first but half way, getting to the twist, I couldn’t put it down! Especially the ending! I love it and can’t wait to read it again someday in the future!
