Demon’s Proposal by Celia Phoenix is a high heat billionaire paranormal romance featuring a wealthy demon shifter and a nerdy naive heroine. This is a fast paced and exciting romance novel with a unique plot, plenty of spice, and a happily-ever-after!
Damian Hurley made a deal with Lucifer after a troubled childhood and sudden tragic loss of his mother. He is a demon shifter that protects the gates of hell for an organization called Order of the Red Demons. He has very specific tastes and all of his intimate partners are simply a contractual agreement with an end date (after 4-6 months). Damian seeks retribution against a high school foe even all of these years later. His best chance at avenging his mother’s death is to propose a fake girlfriend/boyfriend relationship with his ex-girlfriend’s step-sister.
Reighanne Wilson is a petite introverted bookworm. She attends art school, works at an art gallery, and loves to dress up as her favorite comic book characters. Romantic relationships have not been a priority for Reigh as she spends her spare time working to pay for her father’s lawyers. She knows her dad is innocent of the crime he’s been accused of and she will do anything to free him… including making a deal with her schoolgirl crush, Damian.
Damian and Reighanne have undeniable chemistry. Damian has an impossible time controlling his desire for Reigh and keeping his demon in check. She radiates innocence and his demon is obsessed. Everything she does is attractive and he has to keep his distance so he doesn’t ruin her. Except… Reigh wants to be ruined by him. She has lusted after him since she was a teenager and he sets her on fire with desire.
Damian was a jerk for a good portion of the book but Reigh was sassy enough to handle his behavior. She went toe-to-toe with him and didn’t let him off the hook so easily. I loved that she didn’t let him walk all over her and she made him work for the privilege of her love. I did think the end was really rushed and could have been drawn out more, but overall, this was a fun sweet read!
I liked the concept of the story but somewhere along the way everything fell apart.
The beginning started strong we got the idea of what is happening and it wasn't dragged out it was actually very good beginning and i was hooked.
I liked the paranormal element in the story but i kind of felt we didn't have enough of it to matter for me as a reader i expected the story to lean more on it. I wanted to know more about this side of the world the author created. Also at times i felt that the story was rushed and the characters development took a big hit because of it.
The motivation for Damian's actions for me wasn't that strong and i feel we didn't get the proper closure. I was disappointed with how his story was handled at the end.
The side characters were likeable and i enjoyed reading about them in different scenes. I really loved Reighanne . From the beginning she was interesting and well-crafted as a character. She knew what her purpose was and what she needs to do. I also appreciate the fact that the story is told from two point of views. For me this elevates the story more.
I received review copy of the book for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It’s not the usual type of story I read but I have to say I really did enjoy it!
Damien was a Demon and had a chip on his shoulder which stemmed from his past. He had lots of lovers who he gave a contract to and they only lasted between 4 and 6 months which is how he preferred it. He had no love to give.
Reigh had always had a crush on him from when he was her sister’s boyfriend and he was her very first kiss. He had proposed a contract of convenience for her to live with him for four months and to make people believe they were together so that he could get revenge on the Nicholson family.
Things don’t always turn out how you expect and soon they are lovers but the more he instigates his revenge, the more she realises that she can’t be with him. Although their relationship is passionate and very steamy once she leaves him, he realises that he needs to change in order to win her back.
Well worth a read if you are interested in these stories and it does have a HEA.
loved it !!! love Reigh... Damian ? this is their story...a fast paced drama about revenge... and love... Reigh has crushed on Damian , all of her life.. he was her step sister's boyfriend once... Damian has everything.. thanks to Lucifer, except revenge... so, he proposes a fake relationship with Reigh, to get closer to his target... his demon keeps getting in the way... can he do this ? let her go ? so good !!!.

Demon’s Proposal was more about Damien making a deal with the devil in order to become a demon, so he could get his revenge on Brad from high school. Reigh always wanted Damien every since he dated her sister back in high school. A great second chance romances about forgiveness that not really dark or violent. I don’t like how it suddenly ended after Damien had a conversation with Brad and how he rejected Reigh twice because of his issues. I received an ARC to read and decided to leave my honest opinion on how I felt.
Reighanne has had a crush on her sister's ex since high school. Ten years later, your high school crush Damian, asks you to be his fake girlfriend for four months so that he can get revenge on your sister's husband.
I enjoyed Demon's Proposal; it was a quick steamy demon shifter romance, and I can't wait to read the other books in the series.
I feel...well, I'm not sure how I feel - this felt more like a regular billionaire romance than a paranormal billionaire romance. I had to keep remaining myself he was demon. There didn't seem to be a real conclusion there on that aspect, other than her "accepting it" I guess, but nothing really that affected their relationship.

Another fantastic instalment in the Demon Billionaire Shifters series. Deliciously dark and dangerous. Great characters, and a well written storyline. Would recommend. Cannot wait for the next book.
