Wren and Silas’s quest for the Obsidian Artifacts continues in the second and final novel of the Obsidian Artifacts duology.
With the Obsidian Sword in hand, a journey across the ocean to the mysterious Edien Island—home of the Elementals—is just the beginning for Wren and her friends. They will have to survive the danger and magic of the island in order to bring home the Obsidian Crown.
But their work isn’t finished, even with the Crown in hand. Wren must infiltrate Valasia—currently under siege by the Dark Fae—to steal back the Obsidian Eyeglass. Without it their hope of winning the war disappears.
In this thrilling conclusion of the Obsidian Artifacts duology by Whitney L. Spradling, the fate of the world rests with Wren and her friends. With the Obsidian Artifacts in their hands they will fight to bring peace to a world torn apart by the Dark Fae.
Another fantastic book from this author. This duology is such a fun read. Fast paced, diverse, and sweet with just the right amount of spice. Silas is my new favorite leading man! Cannot wait for the new books from this author!
I loved the first book so much and you know what I really liked about this one? While not perfect, it was such a great example of the "after" of a relationship that begins in book one. All that angst and thrill and spice of the first book resulting in a happily ever after. Thought to be the bad guy who gets the girl kind of thing. The continuation of that in this book. So many series take several books to develop a relationship that you never get to see the after affects, the settling and growing pains of a growing, committed relationship. But you see that in this book and it's glorious. Silas and When are a fully committed and bonded pair, willing to do anything for each other. Yes, there's spice and some angst but there's such a nice underlying current of them finding a way to work it out because they are fully devoted to each other. I really loved Spradling's telling of the relationship end of this. The plot was a nice move forward, all about the Fae artifacts they've been tasked to secure. It has a great start, middle and end. While not the most exciting, it tells the story well. I found it a little draggy in the middle, but the story was great.
