Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
Sweet Tea Sunrise by Rachel Hanna is a 2020 publication.
This second installment in the "Sweet Tea B&B” series picks up exactly where the first installment left off. Mia discovers another ‘hit’ on the DNA site that brought her together with a sister she didn’t know she had. This time, though, it looks as though she might, at long last, have a chance to meet her father. She contacts him- but now she must wait on pins and needles to see if he’ll reach out…
Meanwhile, Kate and Cooper’s relationship deepens, and Evie is both excited and nervous about getting a fresh start in a new place, and a person from Mia’s past shows up out of the blue asking to stay at the B&B, as do an older couple who seem to be at odds with one another…
This is a cute series- it’s mostly clean, very light, though there are some heavier adult issues addressed. It’s a sweet story, mingled with humor and some irony along the way. I’m looking forward to the next installment to see how these relationships will progress from here.
Overall, a quick easy read- and a wonderful companion for a lovely fall day!
This book wasn't quite as good as the first one, but I love this series. Completely clean and a great family drama. This series is gonna be the one to get me out of my reading slump I think. I literally just finished this book and I'm off to start the next book in the series.
This is the second book in this sweet series. Although it was predictable, I completely enjoyed reading about sisters Mia and Kate. They definitely bonded more in this book and their growing relationship and business endeavors warmed my heart. Add in Kate's adventurous daughter Evie, two handsome men and finding out they have the same father just added to the charm of this story.

I read the first book in this series and was glad to get to the end of it, not caring much for the writing or the thinness of the characters. It was nice bedtime reading to clear my mind though, and when the author ended Sweet Tea B&B by hanging the reader off a cliff, I forked out another $4 to read book two to see what happened.
The main character, Mia, keeps discovering new relatives through a DNA test she took. As I finished book two, since there was no cliffhanger, I was released from buying volume 3. The men in her stories are all hunks who were immature when they were young and suddenly become sensitive and brilliant when they are in their 30s. The girls and women are all victims, but fall for these gorgeous hunks who once broke their hearts. There is little depth of character. Suspense ends predictably. Everything moves toward a happily ever after ending with little change in character or attitude or insight that the reader can see. The women are the main characters, and the stories are mostly told through their point of view. All the women are rude and rejecting of the men in the story, then they decide not to be so stubborn (because the men are hunks, and they are soooo nice!)
The author seems like a nice person, but I'm looking for a better story.
Sweet Tea Sunrise is book 2 in the Sweet Tea B&B series by Rachel Hanna and loving it!
The continuing story of Mia and Kate and the Sweet Tea B&B... Mia’s old boyfriend comes back to town and wants back in her life...will she let him back in her life? Kate wants to expand the B&B...will she let her and who’s the mystery couple?
Questions will be answered but more will arise...can’t wait for more in this series!
It's taken over 38 years for Jack R.Townsend to know and meet his daughters, but what a reunion. After Jack's parents sent him away, Charlene gave Kate ( baby she had named Gwendolyn), or rather was forced to give her daughter up at birth by her parents, at the age of 16. Charlene and Jack had gotten together , years later again, when he had a great job opportunity, Charlene Lied, and told him she didn't love him anymore. This was her way of loving him too much to hold him back, and she didn't tell him she was pregnant again with Mia. So, the DNA tests done had bought the three finally together. The girls and their dad, not knowing they had the same mother and father, until Slyvia, Jack's wife of twenty years had answered Mia's DNA profile ( Kate, had closed hers), which said he was her father. Sylvia, didn't tell Jack, but got him to come to the B&B for vacation. Now, it seems Mia, Kate and Jack have had the surprise of all times. They start a whole new journey, (" Sunrise") Mia, Kate, Evie, Jack, Sylvia, Cooper, and even Travis has been given a second chance with Mia! There is so much more to this great love story, of young love never really having a chance, but Charlene leaves a legacy from this love that will be united! I always tell too much in my reviews, so go buy the books and the " Sweet Tea B&B ", series! Thanks again Ms.Rachel for another hit out of ball park. I love this "Sweet Tea Sunrise", addition what an amazing mother Charlene was, I really wished she was still around to be a part of her children and granddaughters lives! I'm getting ready to start #3 !
Mia and Kate are getting to know each other as sisters as they run the Sweet Tea B & B. Mia's old high school boyfriend Travis returns to Carter's Hollow to try to win her back. Kate and Cooper are spending more time together. Evie finds a new friend in Dustin and is trying to make her way in a new high school, but soon finds herself in a bit of trouble. Mia gets a possible match for a father on a the DNA website.
Notes below are for me to remember the book. -------------------------------------
1. Evie participates in the climb up the water tower the weekend before school starts. She finds herself almost having charges pressed for trespassing.
2. Jack and Silvia are guests at the Sweet Tea B & B and when Mia shows Evie a picture of her mom Jack recognizes Charlene. It turns out Charlene was pregnant with Kate and then Mia, but kept it secret from Jack. Kate and Mia find their long lost father through the DNA site and it is Jack.
3. Travis claims his father is dying of cancer so he could stay at the B & B to win over Mia. Mia finds out he is lying when she sees his father at the dry cleaners in town looking healthy. In the end Mia does give him another chance.
4. Kate wants to become a bee keeper to help the B & B earn extra money.
This one was just ok. I was a little surprised by some of the info at the end, but only by the second component of what was supposed to be probably a two part surprise. I'm not sure I really care about the next book at this point. I really struggled to finish listening to this one.
Sweet Tea Sunrise is the second book in the Sweet Tea B&B series. It takes place right after the first book where Mia gets a notice that another match has been found based off the DNA that has been submitted. Mia must decide if she wants to meet this family match and what this would mean for the growing family. Not only do Mia and Kate have to keep running the B&B, they also have various relationships both old and new that they encounter. Evie is also deciding whether or not she would want to go to school their or move and go to a different school. She has her own choices she makes as she wants to make new friends.
This short novel was a quick read but kept me very entertained. I didn't want to put it down and enjoyed the continuation of Mia, Kate and Evies relationship. The relationship between not only those three but the other characters introduced in this book was great. This is a great quick read with clean romance, family choices, and second chances. Also love Evie's character and her finding where she fits in.
Sweet Tea Sunrise by Rachel Hanna is the second book in her Sweet Tea B & B series. Even though this is the second book in this series it can very well be read as a standalone but I would recommend you read the first book. Ms. Hanna wrote a wonderful story which drew me right in, making me forget everything else and did not let me go until I turned the last page. The story is very well written and the characters are well defined and likeable well some are. I'm excited to see what she has in store for us next! A must-read for anyone who loves a feel good story!
Sweet Tea Sunrise Book 2 This story brings Mia and Kate closer together. They discover more about their mom while cleaning up and straightening up the Inn. An old love comes back hoping to light the fire smothered with time and experiences. Evie, Kate’s daughter, gets in trouble with the law while indulging herself with the culture and tradition of Carter’s Hollow, Georgia. Evie makes a friend of her own. A hit is made for Kate and Mia’s father on the DNA site. This story continues the first book in a very delightful manner.
Book 2 in this wonderful series. Mia and Katie are still trying to mesh, but are a little at odds because Kate has come up with some ideas to expand the business to bring in more money. To add to the problems, Travis, Mia's ex boyfriend returns and stirs up old feelings. As things start settling down, the DNA tests pop up again and shows that the girls not only had the same mother but the same father. As they try to connect to find out more, a couple books into the B&B and its obvious something is wrong with them. What can happen next?
Sweet Tea Sunrise is an entertaining second chance romance. Mia & Travis struggle to overcome their pasts in order to find a way together. The plot is well paced & written. The characters are well rounded & relatable. Ms. Hanna pulls you in from the beginning & keeps you involved throughout the story. This is an excellent series with stories that can be read as stand alones but are better read in order.
New sisters getting to know each other along with running the B&B that was your moms dream come true has had so many challenges. This series has made me feel like I can be a part of the family or a very welcome guest in this cozy southern town. But be prepared as new people show up and bring new discoveries for these ladies. Grab your copy today and read these first two stories in the series. You will fall in love and want more.
A great second installment of the series. It's a women's fiction, romance dealing with two sisters just finding each other and finding another member of their family while finding love. I really enjoyed reading this beautifully written story with well-developed characters. I would highly recommend it.
Truly a happy story. The characters all really come to life. I can visualize each one in my mind and I love them all. These stories bring back so many memories from my own childhood. I can’t wait for the next book to come out to see what everyone gets into.
Kate and Mia are running the B&B and growing together. Evie is trying to make new friends and getting in trouble. Travis is trying to make Mia forgive him for breaking her heart all those years ago. Kate has a plan for a new business venture. Their father Jack reveals the nature of his and Charlene's relationship. Another one in a sweet series.
This is the second book in the Sweet Tea B & B series. It has been a while since I read the first one, but I had no problem going right back to where I left off. I lo e how this was a continuing story with no break between books 1 and 2.
It's a great story about sisters, family and new beginnings. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a great story.
Second installment in this very short, very sweet set of books. I am enjoying them because they are so light and easy and quick to read. A sort of palate cleanser between other books. I'm enjoying the sisters relationship as it grows and as they find out about other family members, reconnect with old friends and make new friends and boyfriends. Enjoyable reads!
In this sugary sweet saga, full of ‘gosh’ and ‘heck’ and ‘I’m sorry Mom’, we add more characters to the Sweet Tea family. The mysteries the main characters encounter are no mystery to the readers. We see the answers coming a mile away. Even so, this short book is a nice, brief diversion from reality and the characters become quite endearing. We all need a feel good story sometimes!
The tea is so sticky sweet that your back teeth will hurt. Two mysteries solved for the price of one DNA test. Lies told and quickly forgiven because they were told for the "right" reasons. Old slights forgiven with no resentments. The "bad" child is suddenly perfect. All problems solved.....but wait, a cliffhanger!

Sweet Tea and Sunrise is an enjoyable and quick-paced story that draws you in with its charm and heart. Rachel Hanna masterfully crafts relatable, well-rounded characters, making it easy to become invested in their lives. The pacing keeps the narrative engaging, and the small-town setting adds a comforting, homey vibe. It’s the perfect book to lift your spirits and leave you feeling satisfied.
Mia and Kate are working together at the B&B. Mia looks on the genealogy site and gets another match, but this time, it comes up as a paternal match. She reaches out to the person but never hears back. Meanwhile, Mia's first love returns to town. Book 2 of 6, and I can't wait to read the continued saga.
I like this better than I did book one. However, it’s still just a read it and forget it series.
It’s something cute to break up the monotony or subject matter of heavier books, but not life-changing.
I did like that they both are full-blooded sisters and that Jack is willing to be a father and in their life. I will continue the series as it is cute.

A truly wonderful book. Mia and Travis have a second chance with love the question is can they overcome past hurts. Loved how this story was written. I received this book as an arc. This is my honest review
So glad those 2 ladies have the same father! What a great way to follow up book 1 . I love that evie is doing well in her new school and that Travis is getting back in Mia’s good graces. Thank uou
