Highly inaccurate. One big groaner came when the author asserted that Xerxes transported his 30,000-300,000 man army to Thermopylae by boat. Assuming he had enough boats to transport so huge an army, why didn’t he sail them past the choke point that was Thermopylae? What really happened, according to Herodotus, was that he built a pontoon bridge across the Hellespont and marched his army to Thermopylae.
