Choosing You

He’s just what she needed … and she’s everything he never knew he wanted.

When I became a bartender at the Walker brothers’ family brewery, never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would lead to falling for their famous little sister. I hoped to meet her, sure. But actually have a chance with her? No way.

Yet here she is, wound up like a spring because she can’t seem to find the words for her new country album, so I tell her I know exactly what she needs. If she wants the words to flow, she’s gotta let go and have some experiences worth writing about.

I provide her with a slew of small-town adventures to inspire her songs, and I do my best not to fall for her in the process since I know this is only temporary.

But then I fail. Miserably. I’m so gone for this woman it isn’t funny. And that’s bad, because Granite Springs isn’t her home anymore—Nashville is—and when this album is complete, she has to leave.

But hey, it wouldn’t be a country album without songs about heartbreak, now would it?

Choosing You is a full-length, steamy, standalone small-town romance written in first person/dual POV featuring an independent country star and the hunky bartender who steals her heart. This book feeds right into the rest of the books in the series, each one starring one of the four Walker brothers!

“It’s okay to feel lost, honey. And coming home is the perfect start to finding yourself.”

This easy to read book tells the story of brenna - country singer who walks into her families bar and meets bartender conner- hard working, family guy who doesn't know what he wants out of life. He lives with her brother and helps her get out of her writing funk.

I loved the ending and would definitely recommend this book and cannot wait for Jake and Ellies story!!

A charming and heartfelt small town romance.

Brenna Walker is a country music superstar home from Nashville, visiting her family in Colorado. She is stuck in a creative rut, a writers' block, and hopes a change of pace will help her write her next album.

Connor Taylor is a bartender at the Walker family bar. He is everything that a good man should be, but he can’t shake that he’s not living the life that’s meant for him. His entire life he planned to attend medical school, but when the acceptance letter arrived, he had a change of heart and ended up behind the bar. He loves what he does, but feels like he is letting his family down.

Brenna ends up staying with one of her brothers, and guess who the brother's roommate is? Of course, it’s Connor! In an effort to help Brenna with her writers' block, Connor has a few suggestions.

“You know what you should write about instead of deep, meaningful shit like heartbreak?”

“What?”

“Fun.”

She blinked. “Fun?”

“Yeah. Fun. Driving down an old country road in a pickup truck, making out at a bonfire, turning line dancing into dirty dancing.”

“Uh-huh,” she said, narrowing her eyes at me.

“Well, if you feel like writing a song like that, I’d be happy to give you some.”

Fun quickly turns to more than fun, and to potentially love. That is until Brenna’s ex-boyfriend, comes to win her back. Will Brenna choose Connor or Dean? Should she choose the man that everyone wants her to be with, or should she choose the man she feels most alive with?

I loved this book! I read it in one sitting, and was grinning from ear to ear. It wasn’t the most in-depth read, but it was full of joy, charming characters, and now I want to go visit the Walker Brothers Brewery myself!

This is the perfect read to pick yourself up out of a reading slump and put a smile on your face.

Felt really disconnected from the characters through the whole story. There wasn’t much plot and it didn’t get too deep emotionally. It felt like we barely knew the FMC & MMC before they started to like each other and then the story was done. The last 52% was just skim read so that I didn’t DNF lol

Great Book

Loved this book! It was well written, sexy and had a great story line. It keeps your attention and the added secrecy of the relationship makes it fun. Highly recommend.

The first few chapters were okay but I quickly found myself getting a bit bored with the story. I couldn't connect with Connor or Brenna and I ended up skimming the last few chapters.

It was a good, quick read. Nothing deep or emotionally. A palette cleanser really.

Conner is a bartender at Walker Brothers’ Brewery, he enjoys what he does. He’s in a bit of a transition period after not pursuing med school.

Brenna is a famous country singer and the only sister of the Walker Brothers’ (over protective brothers 😉). She comes into town because she’s experiencing some major writers block.

Conner and Brenna met at the brewery and hit it off. Brenna tells Conner about her writers block and Conner decides to do all the cheesy country song things to get her back in the song writing business.

New series by two of my favorite authors 🤩 This is a spin off of the Grand University Series (which I also love!)

Conner is just swoony and sweet and has a heart of gold for his family and also for Brenna. From the outside he might look a little lost, but I think he loves his life.

Brenna is a county singing badass who can hold her own with her over protective brothers. But sometimes things out of your control happens and it just spins wild.

I so enjoyed this and can’t wait for more in this series!!

I really enjoyed this prequel, introduction to the Walker Brothers Brewery series and the Walker siblings. This story is the sister Brenna and Connor who works for the other brothers at the brewery/bar. I enjoyed the story and of course I always love a good first meeting between our hero and heroine and this one was good. I personally like small town romance, and this definitely checked that box and the cast of characters, and the town made this a great story. I also liked how Connor helped Brenna out with her problem she was having and with any good romance feelings developed between them both and then here comes reality when the ex comes back into the picture. One of my favorite parts of this story was when Brenna pretty much went off on her brother Jake and put him in his place and in turn Jake had a talk with Connor and gave him the push he needed, and I appreciated how this story ended. Great start to this series and I’m definitely looking forward to the next book.

This book gave me all the feels!

Country singer, Brenna Walker, returns to her small town home looking for some motivation on writing her next album. When she meets Connor Taylor, bartender at her family’s brewery, she discovers he’s the perfect form of inspiration and encouragement that she’s looking for.

The dual POV was a great opportunity to give the readers a full understanding of the characters and what they felt for each other. This was a quick and easy read that had me hooked from the beginning and was hard to put down! I can’t wait for the rest of the Walker brothers’ stories.

What a brilliant full length prequel to start off the series! I love that Brenna is the powerhouse country singer who has returned to her hometown to find a cure for her writers block, whilst Conner is a switched on but drifting bar tender at her brothers brewery. It's a bit of a switch from the usual strong, wealthy MMC and I LOVED it! It gave Brenna some epic power that we don't see as often with FMC's and made such a difference to the story.

I read a later book as a stand alone previously and loved it so much that I'm now reading through the full series! Can't wait to read Jake & Ellie's book next 😍

Connor and Brenna's story is a sweet slow burn - while they are obviously attracted to one another, their camaraderie is their strength.

Both have to make a decision about who they want to be and how that fits into the other's life. Well written story.

Breanna is one of the Walker siblings and is attracted to Connor who works at the brewery but he is reluctant to pursue Breanna. He only moves forward after she has a heart to heart talk with her brother and he agrees to stay out of her love life. This is a sweet book and loved Breanna and Connor.

Cute and spicy quick read! Found this book during the “Stuff your Kindle” event. Felt a little rushed at times, I would have liked more of Connor and Brenna actually falling in love with all the cute dates and things that were briefly mentioned.
