Bran has discovered more about himself than he could have ever thought possible. Not only is he a summoner who can use multiple classes, but he’s also not of the human realm.
This knowledge, however, comes with a price: a target on his back and enemies around every corner.
Now that Volrath and the Morkoth Empire are at war with Bran's home kingdom, the situation in the human realm has reached boiling point. When Morkoth claims that Volrath was acting as a rogue element, the Emperor decides to sue for peace.
But is this peace a farce or the real deal?
Bran will find the answer in the kingdom's capital, and it's an answer he couldn't possibly have anticipated.
The events put into motion in the capital could lead to Bran's greatest progression yet. He must train harder than ever before, level his monsters, and learn all new classes if he’s going to succeed.
Believe it or not, book 3 is training training and more training. I feel it’s like putting the cart before the horse, because there was no training (or extremely little training in Books 1 and 2). So, where is this fantasy story going? Do we know where the crowish-wheat-Bran (main character) is going? What the main theme and supporting story arcs are? We still do not know anything about Bran’s past, his family, why he has so many Overpowered (OP) abilities and skills? The training is not done by the Summoner Academy’s teachers, or at the Academy. So just like the spear experience that Bran had at the beginning, the whole thing with learning at the Summoner Academy was really not needed. On the cover of Book 3, there is a guy with a lightsaber, dressed in purple armor. We still do not know anything about Bran’s physical or personality traits. All we know is that he is 25 years old, is orphaned from very young, his Mom gave him a special summoner necklace, and that Bran was a soldier, and is filled with scars, because he developed his Summoner skill until his 25th. year. Bran has yet to find information about his parents, but not having a last name or any real clues, there is really no hope that the author will fix all of these unknowns in Book 4 of the series. The author has not yet explained why there are game-like skills, displays and abilities, if this is a fantasy-alternate-world with magic and special Summoner skills. But there is no game in this story series. So no RPG-VRMMORPG to back up the system the author created. At least no explanation to back all of it up. So where is all of this “training” going? It’s making Bran more powerful, stronger, but for what purpose? So far, this story has little to no character descriptions, world descriptions and is all a game-like system that exists in a fantasy other world. There is a moment that I despised in this Book 3, The King orders Bran to kneel and swear allegiance. The problem is, the King has not protected any of his citizens, has not protected his territories from the Monster Stampedes, or the problems that the author has written. So why should a veteran ex soldier, Bran, bend the knee and swear allegiance to a King that has no power, not done one thing to protect, save, improve the lives of the citizens in his Kingdom? Why is the author and main character so servile to this mediocre and weak King? I know the author uses the “King” last name in several of his books, but I believe that it was of really bad taste to force a “weak” and “servile” Bran to bend his knees and swear allegiance. . I would have insulted the King, spit on his floor and left. But I was born free from the author and his tyrannical and absurd ways… The author described so little of the main character, Bran, that it is not a surprise, that Bran is not a human. (not because of what the author wrote in Book 3) but because of the summary written on Goodreads (by the way, Goodreads recommends books that Amazon sells, because Goodreads is an Amazon company since 2013 and they recommend books that make it money.) So Bran, main character is a complete unknown to the readers of this fantasy novel series...
I love this series! ❤ ❤ ❤ Catch the fervor and fight, fight, fight!
The best part of a power read is the fact that when you finish a book, you can dive right back into the action making the storyline seamless! I love it! It’s the perfect read. Bran and his team finally leave the Shadow Kingdom steping back into the Mortal Realm. Finding the World at War. Grand Archmage Urslan, Headmaster of the Ketria Academy declared war on Volrath. Urslan found a way for Bran and his team to level up even faster, as the Lost Realms was time locked with every hour spent was a week in the Mortal Realm. And train is what they did! Why is Bran training so hard? It's because he's not like other summoners... not at all! Other summoners get to choose a single class, but he's able to pick all 6 of 'em and switch back and forth using any ability one at a time. In other words he's gotta train 6 times as he to achieve proficiency in all classes. To fight the war! So yeah grab the book as this series is shaping up to be the best evarrr.
This book reminds me why I don't like the various Marvel movies. In those movies there is a super bad guy that is so over the top with power, and no explanation on how he got so powerful, and then there's the hero or heroes who try and defeat him. There's betrayal because the family of a good guy is captured which leads to the hero being captured. The hero eventually wins but is almost killed. He is saved by a mysterious stranger. I was able to predict how this book would go. I fully expect to see Volrath in future books. I skimmed a lot of this book and never got lost in the story. There's a bunch of gratuitous killing in this book, including wiping out the capital city, which no one ever checked for survivors. Actually this book was really stupid at times.
For the most part I find the stories enjoyable, I wouldn't be on book 3 if I didn't but I did find this one rushed, there was alot to go through and iam happy the most of the year was skipped over but Dominic's actions could of been better explained before they left they realm and the ending was kind of skated over. Iam aware Bran wouldn't of been involved with the country's efforts to reestablish itself but the academy was disaster, the realm Urself was in was also a white wash and what happened to the shadow residents? It left me feeling quite unsatisfied by the end of the book after enjoying the content so far......
The climatic end of the Mortal world as they know it is upon them
Volrath has been busy planning, with plans within plans. He plans to rule all worlds, not just the Mortal realms. Bran may be the only one able to grow strong enough to stop him and his friends will stick by his side through all the training needed. Just as Volrath is about to seize Bran, they escape to a Lots Realm where time moves differently. Each month there is a year in the Mortal Realm which may give Bran just the edge he needs to beat Volrath. History often repeats itself; especially when no one is aware of what really happened…
Overall I believe this was a good book and addition to the series…..and here is the but the last section of this book felt rushed, I was left with the feeling that the author was taking the way path to concluding the story’s final arc. I thought parts of the final arc could have been more intriguing and the author missed an opportunity to add some additional depth to the story. With all that said I still enjoyed reading this book and would recommend
Good continuation. It is a lot of training, but I didn't mind that. Most fun was the new things he learned, though it seems his creatures should have learned more than they did. Seemed a little rushed near the end, but that was okay. It's one of those roller coaster endings - a long ramp up and a steep dive to the completion. Though you need to read this if you read the other two books, I doubt I will go forward into the next book of the series. I'm happy with how this one wrapped up a storyline.
Bran has to beat the bad guy until he's strong enough. So, he needs Tudors and training. Dr. V ( the evil crazy bad guy) kills an entire city to prove a point; Bran and teachers go to a slower time realm to teach Bran how to change his Summoner Configuration and become the Worldbreaker of Legend; War happens; more good battles...
Didn't want story to end - fantastic book-wonderful characters - but come on don't leave me hanging - bring on book 4- I want to know where the other world breaker's are- who was the man that rescued Bran and how does that man knew his name-
Things are wrapped up in a okay manner. There is a few unexpected twists for those who are interested. This book opens up more for continuing the series read it.
