This book is about a book; about life and predictions, prophecies, and imminent death that’s not so imminent after all. Luna Harlow dreams of escaping her reality into a life-long, glory-seeking dream full of happiness and freedom from a town so little yet so immensely terrible. Luna Harlow also dreams of nothing; dreams of surrendering to an unfulfilled life far more reasonable than hope.
Luna Harlow, on the other hand, is not Luna Harlow.
Created by a man up in the skies, Luna acquires a future arranged for her. Most importantly, the prophesied love she must encounter, hate, and then murder. Maybe a love she’s already known yet not recognized. As she finds herself, grows, and learns, destiny personified comes to stay—the sun’s progeny. Day and Night plan an unpredicted future, working to avoid life while also creating one of their likings without fate putting a stop to their infinite existences. After all, who wants to live through someone else’s words? Yet fate is not easy to escape—her hands are harsh, his soul collected and conspiring with the universe’s message of truth.
Follow the stars and hear the lullaby of origin—when the moon and the sun collide.
Luna’s life is something that I always heard when growing up in elementary school. Having a mother who’s near but not emotionally there for you. It’s hard because sometimes it makes you feel not worth of someone’s love. Life’s not what u expected and what u wanted. But what happened when u stumbled upon book that was written based on your life? It’s frightening and making it even more interesting! Have i mentioned that she’s a strong and nice girl which I won’t be as calm as she did in a few situation.
Hunter. Can i say he’s a knight in shining armour? He would be the type of person who just appeared all of a sudden! The way he took care of Luna and be there for her. How they lift each other up and how he believes in theirs relationship made them meant to be with each other.
Thank you for the author for a good book and i cannot wait for the next!
In the beginning I thought this was your YA and romantic go-to book but the story that this book tells? It's incredible and I definitely wasn't expecting all the twists this book had but I loved them all.
I loved Hunter and Luna so much it hurts. About Hunter, I only have nice things to say about him and the way he loves Luna????? Yes, please. But my Luna, god I love her so much.
Luna is such a strong character (and again, I only have good things to say about her) with trust issues because literally everyone betrays her yet she is loving, kind and caring to all who have wronged her and somehow always overcomes the situations. I loved how it was written the struggle she had with her trust issues and the fact that she wanted to be closer with Hunter cause it was really accurate in my opinion.
Also, the fact that, no matter what, she always knew what she wanted to do with her life it's something I loved.
My favorite scene in the whole book is hands down when they paint each other I wish I could put into words how that made me feel.
Why it's not a 5/5? Well because I get distracted VERY easily when the environment in a book is described but that's just me honestly but a heads up if that happens to others as well. Another reason is that there were characters with only one appearance and they weren't so relevant in the plot or they got lost in it (like the Officer, for example). And also I felt that a lot of things weren't resolved like what happens with Gunner and his mum, does Maxen go to jail in the future (I hope the answer is yes), what's going on with Vera and especially Vera's and Gunner's relationships with Luna, but I really really REALLY wish for another book where we get more answers and see more of Hunter and Luna cause I still crave them so much and already miss them.
PD. Emilia's talent is out of this world– oh my god this book blew me away.

I honestly don't know where to begin. I'm so, so, proud to call the author of this book one of my best friends. This book touches so many aspects that I can relate to and I love having able to put myself in Luna's shoes during certain parts. It's so beautifully written and I am in awe of how careful and sensitive Emilia has put into writing it, especially when it comes to parts talking about the trauma both Luna and Hunter had been through. LunaHunter own my entire being and soul and just by thinking about them makes me want to burst into tears. The love they have is beautiful, pure, and so genuine, and I love how the process of them falling into this relationship was written so carefully in a certain way because the two characters are both very fragile and complex considering both their backgrounds. Also love how real the story is and how it touches on the real, ugly, truth of life instead of the cover up version of it. Definitely learned a lot by reading this book. Also, not to flex or anything, but knowing that I'm the first and only person to own the paperback of this book is amazing of me, me thinks 🤪. 5 ⭐️
