The hit series returns, cuz you can't kill a never-ending army of zombies...you can only hope to beat the $% out of them! After tragically losing their first Chosen One against the zombie plague, Vampirella, Miss Fury, and what remains of the Project Superpowers look for a new savior -- but Ash Williams is an even more reluctant Deadite hunter than usual! This time, the Army of Darkness has ray guns, super powers and a brilliant new general: Evil Sonja, who takes her role of Queen of Hel quite seriously!

The war on zombies in the Dynamite Multiverse continues, and now Ash from the Evil Dead shows up. Groovy. As you can expect with Ash making an appearance, the series gets even more over the top and a little campier, while I would have preferred it a little darker with more horror. But it's still a fun ride, and it's not over yet.
Okay, I guess I was more invested in this one because of Ash's involvement. But I didn't care as much when watching all these other characters. There's just so much going on and I'm not jumping to the third volume right away.
The licensed characters of the Dynamite universe fight more Deadites. It doesn't shed any new ground but it does travel some well trod ground well. The addition of Ash does make it more fun.
