Emma Watson is an aspiring journalist looking for her story. The one that’s going to get her noticed by Time Magazine, or maybe even The Enquirer. Until then she’s stuck doing puff pieces for her blog and taking paparazzi photos of unsuspecting celebrities. Her luck starts to turn when she stumbles onto a crime scene, a girl has been murdered, and not just any girl, a werewolf. And she isn’t the first. Emma knows she should let the story go, that’s what any self-respecting werewolf would do, right? Let the packs handle it? Only she can’t. No one is stepping up to claim these girls, the police are at a loss, and if it means stepping on the pack’s toes to tell their story, she’s willing to take the risk. That is until the pack’s private investigator, Jack Lowell shows up, and throws everything Emma knows about being a lone wolf into question.
Um. Wow! This book was amazing. Set behind a backdrop of someone murdering werewolves, this murder mystery kept me turning the pages. Emma was badass. I instantly liked her. Detective Jack was great in his pursuit of justice, but you could still see he was a kind soul underneath. Instant like! This book says it's book one! I can't wait to read more from this author!
I am not usually one to read about werewolfs but I couldn’t put this book down. It is so well written and captivated me. I fell in love with the characters and could easily see this being made into a movie!!
