I am still enjoying this series a lot. This is series is just fun. I don’t know how else to put it. I’m just having a lot of fun with this series. It’s still not going to be a new favourite, but it’s fun.

I am going to try to keep my review as vague as possible, but since this is the eleventh book in a series, there may be spoilers for earlier volumes.

In this one, we are still following the quest to make it to the spring tournament. As Nobara’s team gears up for the spring tournaments, their hopes take a hit when star setter Tomo sprains her ankle. With playoffs looming, the team must rally together and prove their resilience to keep their dreams alive. Meanwhile, the tension off the court heats up as a budding love triangle between Nobara, Yushin, and Haibuki starts to take an unexpected turn. Haibuki finds himself revisiting old feelings for his ex-girlfriend—none other than the injured Tomo. With challenges both on and off the court, the stakes have never been higher for Nobara and her team.

This volume is all about grit, teamwork, and defying expectations. Nobara and her team are laser-focused on reaching the spring tournament, but the road is anything but smooth. With their star setter, Tomo, sidelined by a sudden injury, the team faces more than just physical challenges—they also have to overcome the doubts of everyone around them, from rival teams to spectators who see them as underdogs.

The story brilliantly captures the emotional highs and lows of chasing a dream against the odds. Nobara’s unwavering determination is contagious, and her leadership helps the team rally together when the odds seem stacked against them. There’s a tangible sense of camaraderie as each player digs deep, determined not to let their dreams slip away.

What makes this volume particularly compelling is how the team uses every setback as an opportunity to grow. They don’t just want to prove the doubters wrong—they want to prove to themselves that they are capable of greatness. Each practice, each match, and each challenge is a testament to their resilience and belief in one another.

The journey to the spring tournament is an emotional rollercoaster, but it’s one filled with heart and hope. For anyone who loves stories about perseverance and the power of teamwork, this installment is a standout. Nobara and her team remind us all that determination and belief can carry you further than you ever imagined.

Overall, I am still enjoying this a lot and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

The tournament continues and is resolved is a game that surprises everyone. I got to re-question Haibuki and Tomo's relationship. And Kaz continues to be annoying. Sheesh that guy needs to back off! I really wish I better understood Haibuki in this one. We get a bit more love triangle plus action in this one as the circle grows. I like who they got to play volleyball now as well. Yay for a new player! Lets just hope she can get decent....
Not my favorite volume in the series but a very fast read. My favorite part was actually the bonus story at the end.

This is another volume that I'm pretty sure I read when it first came out, but I wanted to re-read it to catch up with the characters. Crimson Hero is different from most of the shojo manga out there. Yes, there is romance, and a love triangle, and drama, but much of the action focuses on the world of competitive high school volleyball. As much as main characters Nobara and Yushin love each other, they love volleyball, too, and want to push themselves to be the best and succeed where none thought they could.

This particular volume really focuses on the importance of teamwork and pushing through the pain towards a common goal. Nobara is a great leader and motivator, and Tomoyo's dedication is evident. And of course, I want to see Nobara and Yushin happily together, so it's nice to see they want the same thing. :) The relationship between Haibuki and Tomoyo has some interesting developments, too. He might not want to admit it, but he still cares about her. It'll be interesting to see how that develops.

The main character is beautiful yet strong. I like that. She doesn't lose her drive to achieve her dreams and yet still discovers love.
