The Solcrue invaders can't be stopped until the cyborgs are united again. That won't happen until Leah, the human daughter of the last CyberTitan's general, is with them again. Solcrue enemies want her under control. CyberTitans must rescue her if they want to save themselves.

CyberTitans are programmed to know hierarchy by scent. Leah is a valuable asset to human defense, hidden away in an inconspicuous city. No one knows where she is, except her guards and, apparently, her half-brother, Joey.

Captured and taken by ship deep into Solcrue territory, Leah realizes her brother is using her as a beacon to hunt down the remaining cyborgs, those who escaped the Hyperion Decommissioning Plant. But Leah wants to help the cyborgs who fought beside her late father, not get them captured. Solcrue will surely destroy them.

Leah:
I can't stay here on this planet, in this warehouse, waiting to be dangled over a field to see how many Titans my brother can catch. He's always been the jealous and controlling type. I know where this is going, how he plans to use me to sell Titans to the Solcrue. I have to run. I know there is a Titan close by, by how my heart beats faster and urges rise within me. I must warn him.

The world outside is a frozen forest with jagged mountains that claw at the skies. I'm running too fast to see where I'm going. All I know after I fall is that someone large scoops me up to the subtle hum and whir of electric motors and hydraulics. Few humans hear it. Too many are scared of CyberTitans to listen for the telltale sounds. I know Titans were built to protect us.

He's big and moves fast, carrying me away from danger.

When I finally get a glimpse of the hard planes of his face, his eyes trained on the enemy behind us, I see concern, panic, and murderous intent. He wants to protect me as much as it's programmed into him. When he clutches me tighter and runs faster, I feel a need to protect him too. This planet he survives on is a harsh place. He needs to know he is not forgotten. I need the same. I need more of his protective touch.

Savage:
We were promised mates if we won the war. We lost because of a human turned traitor. I heard it from Amp during the Hyperion jailbreak. Now I think the Solcrue use females to lure us out. I am not a fool, but I am not a coward either.

I had planned to take Solcrue and their supporters out one by one, the way I like, the savage way. Then they brought a woman to this miserable planet. I catch her scent in the icy breeze, and it turns me inside out with desperation. I have to rescue her. I think she is my mate.

Leah is the rightful heir to command Earth's rebel cyborg forces. I am her only hope of escaping CSP. I just need to focus, but it's nearly impossible when I feel her skin against mine. Our CyberTitan resistance needs her to lead us. I can't help but want her for myself.

***A fast-paced, one-love, HEA steamy romance with intimacy, violence, and cursing.

"I love how the relationship develops between Savage and Leah...Lots of action and emotions in this one!"

Savage was a nice change of pace for a few hours, and I genuinely enjoyed it.

Savage is the second sci fi book in the Hunted Relics where humans are the lower class, and Titans are used and abused by a race that takes what it wants and spits everything else out. Resistance is the only way to bring them to their knees, and that means uniting machines and humans to make it happen. If only they could keep everyone safe.

Beneath their tough exterior lies a big-hearted man that is more human than machine, who would do anything to keep her safe.

The story line was intriguing and for most of the book it was engaging. My biggest issue was the dialog. Some of it came off natural but a lot just seemed forced and repetitive. If there was better dialog I would give this book more stars. So the FMC has some depth and you get to know a little of her history. She has some emotion and is of course amazing at everything she does because,  as we're told repeatedly, she's a woman and no one expects her to know how to do anything. She shoots guns(never misses), flies space crafts and her dad was high up in the military...  but she NEVER heard of "watch our six". Really? Now on to the cyborg. He's a cyborg so I didn't expect a lot from him but I was hoping for more of a" manly man". I'd like to thank the author for this ARC and am giving this review freely.

Cyborg Titan’s Return!

Life for the humans, since the Solcure conquered them, has been hard. If they didn’t support the Solcure they were either killed, forced into slavery or put to work for the Solcure. Leah was a Solcure slave for a few years until she finally escaped with the help of her father’s loyal few remaining men. All of the humans are forced to live on Earth Minor, where the Solcure keep an eye on them, except for one section where they don’t seem to be able to enter. Leah has been working there as a psychologist for the humans. One day she is abducted by her half brother Joey. They have always hated each other and he has become even crueler since he has started working for the Solcure. They are trying to capture and kill all of the CyberTitan’s that escaped with the help of Amp (book one of the series). They are scattered across the planet Saturn III and so far they have been unsuccessful in finding them. They think that since her father helped create them her scent will draw them out to come to her. All of the Solcure and the humans working for them think they are nothing other than machines that need to be decommissioned. Leah knows better because her father taught her that they are sentient beings with feelings and emotions that have been suppressed by their programming. Once they are freed from this programming they will be able to think for themselves and form an alliance to fight the Solcure and hopefully destroy them before they destroy the entire galaxy with their greed.

Savage has been living by himself in a cave since they arrived on Saturn III. As his name indicates, he has trouble controlling his feelings of rage so he is better off by himself. He sees the ship that lands near the Solcure outpost and is drawn to the area by the sweetest scent he’s ever smelled. He knows it is coming from the small human female that the males are abusing as they drag her into the building. He knows he must rescue her, he just has to figure out how. He is given his chance when she escapes later that night. She falls down a cliff in the snow and is unconscious. Savage kills the men that were chasing her and then climbs down and gets her and takes her back to his cave. From the moment they touch, he knows that she is his, but as the daughter of their creator, he is not allowed to touch her. They are programmed to be painfully tortured if they touch a human. When Leah realizes this she disconnects that program, because she really wants to be touched by Savage! As they make their way to join up with some of the other Cybertitans, Savage is having a hard time with his feelings toward Leah. Leah knows the code to free them from their programs to destroy themselves under certain protocol, so once Savage is free to explore his feelings for her, he won’t because he feels he is unworthy. Leah is doing her best to try and get Savage to act on his feelings!

This is the second book in the series that can be read as a stand along. I love how the relationship develops between Savage and Leah. It’s sad to realize how these great warriors have been mistreated by the humans that created them as well as the Solcure. Lots of action and emotions in this one!

High quality Sci Fi and action. Romance needs work.

Love the concept, the detailed world building, and the visual descriptions that help to bring this to life.

What was a disappointment was the Insta love that felt incomplete and more lust based.
Other than appearance, physical lust, and availability, I’m not entirely sure what justifies the so called love?

Further, I accept that the FMC has training in dealing with trauma, but she just feels too well put together considering she’s had little to no chance to deal with the last few years of suffering and loss.
Combined with the MMC constantly putting her in the position of begging for him to give them a chance and to fight for the idea of them…

Some yes, definitely works, but not all. His only concession is his inability to not physically respond to her, and his internal angst that lets the reader in, but not the FMC.

This was still an awesome story, with good steam, tension, and action.
Greatly enjoyed.
Just didn’t fully buy into the ‘can’t live without’ love part.

Still looking forward to continuing the story and characters.

Savage

Book two of this series and I'm still enjoying the world building. The character of the cyborgs is being filled in more,

“They’re like us. Psychologically complex beneath their programming. Humans are simply different types of machines. We are electrochemical. They are electromechanical.”

I appreciate the struggle of the characters learning to love across species and the struggle to exist as equals.

“Solcrue will never consider a human equal. They think they are above us like humans think they’re above cyborgs. I find cyborgs fascinating. I don’t understand why we can’t be equal.”

Watching the US unravel here in early 2025, I'm not sure equality is possible for our species but there's really no choice but to keep trying.

Interesting read

Not sure what I expected from this book as it's the first of this genre that I have read but I really enjoyed it. It makes you wonder, what with all the talk about AI, whether something like this would ever be our future. This is Savage and Leah's story, well the beginning maybe. I'm going to read Redline's story now.

Bring it on

Savage is perfect as the first full book of the series... and perfect to be the Commander to Leah's General.

We have intrigue, passion, shame, trust issues, and family squabble that leads to serious betrayal....how can you not read this series?

I want my own cyborg now!!!

Becoming a General

Leah has had a really messed up life. Running into Savage is one of her better days. This is a great story and I am loving getting to know more and more of the Titans. While Leah doesn't want to be the replacement General for her father, she ends up that way. Great writing and great characters.

One meant to rule, the other to serve….at least that’s the way it started. She saw him as more than just a machine while he has a hard time believing this. Her determination, acceptance and caring slowly and reluctantly starts to change his attitude amidst the increasing danger.

One of the best cyborg romance series I've ever read

What a crazy, wild ride of a story. I love how new characters are added to the story joining the ones we are already familiar with. I can't wait to read the next one and continue the adventure!

Ohhh, This Adventure is Savage!

Savage is book 2 in the Hunted Relics series and the action, adventure and spice has kicked up a notch. I love the introduction of new women and CyberTitans in each book and the overall series plot has grown as more foes, betrayals and dangers are uncovered. I am loving the connection between the characters and can’t wait to meet more CyberTitans! I recommend reading this series in order; start with Amp and move forward from there!

Leah, the female human lead, is the daughter of the last human general commanding cyborgs and, therefore, the last living person the cyborgs will scent bond with. Captured by human traitors attempting to trap cyborgs, when Savage, the male cyborg lead, investigates human movements in his area, she escapes with his assistance. Now they need to warn the other cyborgs, gather together, and take out the traitorous humans. Savage is also trying not to act on his attraction to Leah because he’s convinced a relationship would be inappropriate…

This story is dual POV, well written, and set in an interesting world. I’m enjoying the dystopian premise and the human/cyborg relationships. I enjoyed the intimate scenes and character and relationship development too. I’m also appreciating the fast paced action and large cast of characters, as well as the planned list of stories so I can get to know future lead characters well now.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
