A well written story about a complex man who thrived on and excelled in war. Not the highly structured and choreographed style of warfare, rather the seat-of-your-pants quick thinking and calculated risk taking style of guerilla warfare that was the trademark of the fledgling SAS. With a leader like Paddy Mayne, no wonder their motto is “ Who Dares Wins”.
