She takes language and research about personal image, reputation, integrity, personal strengths, and ambition- and turns them into applicable business tools. (Tools that REALLY DO apply to any job or personal goal. Not just sales.) 3. Dr. Cindy is effervescent and enthusiastic, and it SHOWS in her audiobook. I'm so glad she took the time to record it herself. No one could do this content the justice that she can. The whole thing reads like a conversation, or a performance- not a reading. 4. Have a notebook ready, because you're going to be taking notes, doing a lot of reflecting, and planning throughout this book. 5. I would recommend this to everyone that has personal goals of any kind, regardless of their roles or business ambition. It'll help with social awareness, mindfulness, self improvement, goal setting, being realistic with yourself, and living with integrity, and so much more.
Great read and roadmap for your personal brand development, however Chapter 5 was particularly relative, as it addresses living a company's brand that you are employed by. As an employee of a company, you are automatically a brand ambassador for your employer, even though it may not be a part of your job description. I think so many forget this. The author does an excellent job of coaching employees to create their own personal brand that reflects well on the organization.
Copies of the book were handed out in my office. Despite not being in a sales specific role, I found the message helpful to anyone looking to project a particular persona or image in their personal and professional life. I found that I already did many of the things mentioned well. My only problem with the book was that I found it to be incredibly repetitive. This book could be covered in a 1-2 hour lecture or webinar.
Dr. Cindy is my idol. Her previous bestseller was groundbreaking, and Sell Yourself is definitely on par. She has an amazing ability to translate her voice in an extremely impactful, motivational, and educational way. I especially loved the exercises to help drive home the techniques outlined in the book.

As someone who works in advertising and branding, I never thought about my own personal brand - until this book! This is a quick read with big results. Very organized with actionable steps and great examples on why personal branding is so important and how to get yours to reflect the real you.
A short read to be more conscious about building a personal brand, or even just how you present yourself. Most of the advice might seem obvious, but it's a nice checklist of things to consider.
