Miwa ist ein junges Mädchen, das ein begeisterter Manga-Fan ist und besonders angetan von einem der Charaktere aus ihrem Lieblingsmanga. An die Liebe im realen Leben glaubt sie nicht. Dann jedoch trifft sie auf Kiriatsu, der ihrem Schwarm aus dem Manga verblüffend ähnlich sieht. Die beiden freunden sich an...

Mein Leseeindruck:

Hätte ich diese Geschichte in Fließtext gelesen, hätte ich sie vermutlich albern gefunden, aber als Manga hatte ich wirklich Spaß an der Handlung. Die Zeichnungen sind auch sehr schön und ansprechend, so dass ich mich nun auf die Fortsetzung freue.

Ich fand ja schon die "Romantica Clock" Reihe der Mangaka toll. Dieser Manga hat mir auch super gefallen. Ich fand die Story um die beiden etwas sozial eingeschränkten Charaktere sehr interessant. Ich fand, dass sie sich gut ergänzten. Auch die Nebencharaktere gefielen mir. Die Geschichte wirkte nirgends gehetzt, was ich bei vielen anderen Mangas richtig nervig finde.
Der Zeichenstil ist 100% mein Ding. Ich liebe die genialen Verschnörkelungen, Hintergründe, Klamotten, Gestik und Mimik. Für mich ist das der beste Zeichenstil dieses Genres.

Ich habe gerade den ersten Band von der Reihe beendet. D
Jetzt frage ich mich warum, habe ich nicht die Reihe schon eher gelesen 😅.


Der Auftakt der Reihe gefällt mir schon sehr gut. Die Mangaka Yoko Maki hat eine tolle Art zu Zeichnen.
Die Story ist ein kleines bisschen naiv erzählt. Aber ich glaube mit jeden Band wird die Story tiefgründig. Hoffe ich zumindest.

Ein super-süßer Manga. Insbesondere der Zeichenstil der Mangaka ist ein wahrer Augenschmaus und lädt einfach zum Träumen ein. Alleine dafür lohnt es sich schon den Manga zu lesen und ich kann ihn jedem Fan des Romance Genres nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Obwohl ich es genossen habe den Manga zu lesen, ich die Charaktere sympathisch finde und ich oft lachen musste, fehlt es mir aber trotzdem noch ein bisschen an Chemie zwischen Miwa und Kiriatsu. Ich weiß, ich weiß, es ist Band 1 und die Geschichte steht noch am Anfang (es gibt auch schon sechs weitere Bänder). Trotzdem. Ich hoffe, dass sich das über die fortlaufenden Bänder noch weiterentwickelt und freue mich darauf bald Band 2 zu lesen!

War ganz süß, aber Miwa war nicht so ganz mein Fall. Sie lebt nicht nur in ihrer kleinen Welt, sondern ist auch noch unfassbar naiv. Mal schauen, wie der zweite Band wird...

Der Manga ist sehr süß. Die beiden Hauptcharaktere sind nicht die normalsten und auch nicht erfahren auf dem Gebiet Beziehungen, dass macht die Geschichte ziemlich lustig. Miwa ist eine ziemlich schräge Protagonistin. Sie rennt so gut wie immer mit ihrem Lieblingsmanga durch die Gegend und ist total in dessen Protagonisten verliebt. Da passiert es dann natürlich nicht selten, dass sie ihre Umgebung vergisst und mal eine Treppe runterfällt und ein paar Jungs als Schild benutzt.^.^ Ihre beste Freundin Niko ist mir durch ihre wilde und beschützerische Art sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Immer will sie Miwa vor Jungs beschützen, warum müsst ihr selbst nachlesen. Kiriatsu gehört zu einer Jungs Clique und ist etwas mysteriös. Viel mehr möchte ich erstmal nicht zu ihm schreiben. Der Zeichenstil gefällt mir sehr gut und ich habe mich sofort in das Cover verliebt. Yoko Maki wird mir durch ihre Extra Zeichnungen über ihren Alltag auch gleich viel sympathischer und man erfährt noch Hintergrundwissen. Ich freue mich schon auf Teil 2.

Sparkly Lion Boy ist eine sanfte Liebesgeschichte um 2 soziale außenstehende Schüler.

Der Zeichenstil ist ausgesprochen hübsch und ansprechend.

Miwa, eine tollpatschige Schülerin, die die meiste Zeit daheim verbringt und Mangas liest, lebt in ihrer eigenen Fantasiewelt. Eines Tages, als sie mal wieder in dieser versunken ist, stürzt sie die Treppe hinunter. Glücklicherweise wird sie von Kiriatsu aufgefangen. Dieser zeigt daraufhin Interesse an dem schüchternen Mädchen. Unterstützt von seiner Clique sucht der mysteriöse wirkende Junge fortan Miwas Nähe.

Der Auftakt dieser Manga-Reihe war durchaus gelungen und macht mir Lust aufs Weiterlesen. Ein bisschen Luft nach oben ist aber auf jeden Fall, daher nur 4 Sterne.

Das war su süß!!!

Yōko Maki gefällt mir so sehr. Ich habe alle ihrer Manga gelesen und ich möchte auch Pika Ichi, Vol. 01 weiterlesen. Leider wurde er in Italien nach dem dritten Band abgebrochen.

Ich habe diesen Band im Dezember 2017 und ich habe ihn im Januar 2020 gelesen. Ich möchte warten, dass Tokyopop more Bände veröffentlichtet. Und, boy, das war so gut!

Ich mag Miwa sehr aber Kiriatsu: Der ist anders! Er ist schön und faszinierend aber er hat keine Ahnung über Liebe (und Leben auch)!

Ich habe schon Bände 2 und 3 gekauft.

I am thrilled that a English translation group has finally picked this up and are slowly putting out the chapters! Still hoping for a official translation, but that is for later.

I am already biased as I am a fan of Yōko Maki's works, she is a very talented shojou manaka and is specified in her craft. Really looking forward to see where this one will go. I really enjoyed that the pacing is pretty fast and that the boy tells her how he feels right away instead of other modern tropes, wonderful!

This story is adorable. A love story between to idiots, which is so cutely drawn! But the female main character seems to have a childhood trauma, and knowing Yoko Maki, there's probably something going on with the male lead as well. The side characters were interesting as well, especially Nico, so I'm looking forward to read more of this series.

Der Zeichenstil ist ganz niedlich und am Ende gab es eine süße Szene, aber ansonsten konnte mich der Manga leider nicht überzeugen. Die Erzählweise und die Charaktere waren einfach nicht so mein Fall, schade.

This was as much a surprise as it wasn't. I should like to start off by saying that the premise of Kirameki no Lion Boy is very, very simple. Miwa is shy and rather oblivious to most of the ins and outs of social life; she used to get bullied at school and has thus learned to hide behind a book - or manga, to be more specific. She has one outgoing friend Niko who is very protective of her. A chance meeting brings them together with Kiriatsu who immediately falls for the sweet Miwa. They tentatively start a relationship and Miwa slowly but surely comes out of her shell.

And that just about sums up the plot of the entire 10 volume series. The thing is, Maki Yoko can most definitely pull off a simple plot and make it memorable through loveable characters, so that in itself is not an issue. But her previous work - Romantica Clock - was similarly simple structured and I was truly bored with it. Add that Kirameki no Lion Boy is Maki's last work before retiring from the manga world, I was more than a little nervous of how this would turn out. I am thrilled to say that Maki ended on a very strong note: Miwa and Kiriatsu's story is simply adorable.

As I mentioned, the story is fairly simple and there isn't much to add to what has already been said. Miwa might be shy and a bit clumsy but she is such a sweet character who is a ray of sunshine in her own shy way. Kiriatsu makes for an interesting love interest in the sense that he is confident on one hand yet also inexperienced and a wee bit clueless in matters of love. He is very direct and sometimes appears aloof and yet he is always very loving toward Miwa. They are such a sweet and well-matched pair and entirely drama-free throughout the entire series; there are no quarrels, jealousies or misunderstandings because these two are perfectly open with each other and talk things through.

The supporting cast is great (with perhaps the exception of one of Kiriatsu's friends as his sole personality trait was being fat and eating all the time - great. Can't even remember the guys name), besides the romance of the main couple, we get great friendship dynamics and once again, drama-free and well-handled scenarios of what happens when friends end up falling in love with the same person. I love Maki's art and it's particularly cute in this series. Even though nothing major happens in this series, it is super sweet and I would very much recommend it to lovers of shoujo, especially ones set in high school. I'm sad there won't be any more works by Maki, but I am glad that she ended on such a strong note.

Der Manga hat sich einfach direkt in mein Herz geschrieben.

Das Leben eines Fangirls auf Papier und ich habe mich darin zu oft wiedergefunden.
Miwa ist ein so süßer, herzlicher und liebevoller Charaktere.
Ihre Liebe zu dem Manga Twinkle Heart, macht sie noch authentischer und realer.

Die Liebe und das Fan-sein finde ich so schön dargestellt - Miwa zieht so viel Liebe, Kraft und Mut aus dem Manga.
Von außen ist es meist nicht zu erkennen, was einem das Fan-sein alles gibt und wie sehr es einen bereichert. Doch man zieht da so viel mehr aus so einer Leidenschaft als es Worte erklären könnten - da hab ich mich sehr in Miwa wiedergefunden.

Kiriatus mochte ich auf anhieb, er versucht Miwa kleine Freuden zu bereiten um ihr damit näher zu kommen.

Auch die Nebencharaktere liebe ich einfach, sie sind so süß und witzig - wie sie Miwa und Kiriatsu auf ihre Weise unterstützen und beschützen wollen.

Ein zuckersüßer, traumhafter, romantischer Manga, voller besonderer Momente.
Einfach ein perfekter Shojo-Manga.
